SensFL:Privacy-Preserving Vertical Federated Learning with Sensitive Regularization

In the realm of Intelligent railway Transportation Systems,effective multi-party co.laboration is crucial due to co.cerns over privacy and data *** Federated Learning(VFL)has emerged as a promising approach to facilitate such co.laboration,allowing diverse entities to co.lectively enhance machine learning models without the need to share sensitive training ***,existing works have highlighted VFL’s susceptibility to privacy inference attacks,where an honest but curious server co.ld potentially reco.struct a client’s raw data from embeddings uploaded by the *** vulnerability poses a significant threat to VFL-based intelligent railway transportation *** this paper,we introduce SensFL,a novel privacy-enhancing method to against privacy inference attacks in ***,SensFL integrates regularization of the sensitivity of embeddings to the original data into the model training process,effectively limiting the information co.tained in shared *** reducing the sensitivity of embeddings to the original data,SensFL can effectively resist reverse privacy attacks and prevent the reco.struction of the original data from the *** experiments were co.ducted on four distinct datasets and three different models to demonstrate the efficacy of *** results show that SensFL can effectively mitigate privacy inference attacks while maintaining the accuracy of the primary learning *** results undersco.e SensFL’s potential to advance privacy protection technologies within VFL-based intelligent railway systems,addressing critical security co.cerns in co.laborative learning environments.

The Longest railway Tunnel in china

After nearly 10 years of geological surveys, route design, and co.parisons of tunnel co.struction technology and engineering design, the co.struction of the longest railway tunnel in chinathe Gaoligong Mountain Tunnel, which has a full length of 34.5 km-began in December 2014. As the key works of the Dali-Ruili railway in the west line of the Trans-Asia railway, this tunnel is located in western Yunnan Province in southwestern china, and passes through the west of the Hengduan Mountains in the southern Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. It can be extended westward to co.nect with railways in Myanmar and India, thus co.necting the Chinese railway system to railways in Southeast Asia, South Asia, and Europe to form an onshore transport co.ridor from the Pacific Ocean to the Indian Ocean. This linkage will promote co.merce and trade along the line, reduce the co.t of international trade, and play a positive role in enhancing exchanges between china and other Southeast Asian co.ntries. In this way, it will allow china to adapt to the trend of eco.omic globalization and achieve the sustainable development of its national eco.omy.

Experimental Observing Damage Evolution in Cement Pastes Exposed to External Sulfate Attack by in situ X-ray co.puted Tomography

The paper presents experimental investigation results of crack pattern change in cement pastes caused by external sulfate attack （ESA）.To visualize the formation and development of cracks in cement pastes under ESA,an X-ray co.puted tomography （X-ray CT） was used,i e,the tomography system of Zeiss Xradia 510 *** results indicate that X-CT can monitor the development process and distribution characteristics of the internal cracks of cement pastes under ESA with attack *** addition,the C3A co.tent in the cement significantly affects the damage mode of cement paste specimens during sulfate *** damage of ordinary Portland cement （OPC） pastes subjected to sulfate attack with high C3A co.tent are severe,while the damage of sulfate resistant Portland cement （SRPC） pastes is much smaller than that of OPC ***,a quadratic function describes the co.relation between the crack volume fraction and development depth for two cement pastes immermed in sulfate solution.

Eco.ogical vulnerability assessment of the Ya'an-Qamdo section along the southern route of the Sichuan-Tibet transportation co.ridor

Identifying the eco.ogical vulnerability of the sensitive and fragile eco.ystem of the Ya’anQamdo section along the southern route of the Sichuan-Tibet transport co.ridor is of paramount importance to reduce environmental damage resulting from infrastructure *** paper divided the Ya’an-Qamdo transport section into 22subzones acco.ding to their eco.ogical environment *** on the vulnerability evaluation model established by the fuzzy matter-element analysis method,the eight main assessment indicators of eco.ogical vulnerability were windstorm,rainstorm,snowstorm,extreme temperature,extreme air pressure,geological hazard,natural co.ditions,and social *** rating and ranking of vulnerability in each subzone were based on the weight of the judgment *** processes were used to verify the rationality of both the indicators themselves and their *** results of this study show that subzone 9,located in the subalpine co.d and humid forest and scrubland zone,is the most vulnerable,and subzone 1,located in the low-to mid-land warm and humid forest zone,is the least *** co.clusion of the study suggests that targeted measures of eco.ogical protection should be formulated before development and co.struction of major transportation *** should evade the most vulnerable areas,and in-depth research on eco.ogical restoration should be carried out in low-to midvulnerability areas so that the eco.ogical environment along the route can be protected effectively for sustainable eco.omic and social development.

Lateral displacement of silty clay under cement-fly ash-gravel pile-supported embankments: Analytical co.sideration and field evidence

Based on back analysis of lateral displacements measured in situ by using the analytical solution, a useful method for estimating stress co.centration ratio of geosynthetic-reinforced and pile-supported(GRPS) embankments was proposed. In order to validate the proposed method, a full-scale high-speed railway embankment(HSRE) with four instrumented subsections over medium co.pressibility silty clay was co.structed in three stages. The soil profile, co.struction procedure and monitoring of settlements and lateral displacements of the four test sections were described. The field deformation analysis results show that 1) the co.bined reinforcement of CFG piles and geosynthetic layer perform well in terms of reducing lateral displacements; 2) the development of lateral displacements lags behind the increase of fill load, which can be attributed to the vertical load transfer mechanism of the pile foundation; and 3) pile length has a dominant effect on the stress distribution proportion between piles and surrounding soils. The co.parison between predicted and experimental results suggests that the proposed analytical solution and the back analysis-based method are capable of reasonably estimating the lateral deformation and the stress co.centration ratio, respectively, if the appropriate soil elastic modulus is chosen.

Dynamic behavior of bridge-erecting machine subjected to moving mass suspended by wire ropes

The dynamic behavior of a bridge-erecting machine, carrying a moving mass suspended by a wire rope, is investigated. The bridge-erecting machine is modelled by a simply supported uniform beam, and a massless equivalent ＂spring-damper＂ system with an effective spring co.stant and an effective damping co.fficient is used to model the moving mass suspended by the wire rope. The suddenly applied load is represented by a unitary Dirac Delta function. With the expansion method, a simple closed-form solution for the equation of motion with the replaced spring-damper-mass system is formulated. The characters of the rope are included in the derivation of the differential equation of motion for the system. The numerical examples show that the effects of the damping co.fficient and the spring co.stant of the rope on the deflection have significant variations with the loading frequency. The effects of the damping co.fficient and the spring co.stant under different beam lengths are also examined. The obtained results validate the presented approach, and provide significant references in the design process of bridgeerecting machines.

Experimental study on the co.pression-shear performance of a new-type circumferential joint of shield tunnel

To investigate the co.pression-shear behavior of a new circumferential joint based on the sleeve-straight bolt co.bination type co.nection of large-diameter shield tunnels,a series of full-scale joint experiments was carried *** the process of the experiment,more attention was paid to the specimen displacement,bolt stress and joint damage *** the basis of these experiment phenomena,this study discussed the co.pression-shear bearing process of the new co.nector,analyzed the damage mode of the joint structure,and finally evaluated the performance of the new *** is found that the bearing process of the joint can be divided into four stages:the transitional stage for overco.ing the friction of the co.crete,the sleeve bearing stage for the sleeve bearing shear loads alone,the co.bined bearing stage for bearing shear loads by the co.nector system,and the structural damage stage for structural instability and *** speaking,affected by co.nector position and hand hole,the positive co.pression-shear stiffness of the joint is less than the negative co.pression-shear stiffness,and the positive shear strength of the joint is greater than the negative shear *** increase of longitudinal axial force will improve the co.pression-shear performance of the *** relationship between longitudinal axial force and joint stiffness is a logarithmic *** use of new type of co.nector can effectively improve the co.pression-shear stiffness of joints under low shear loads,but the application of straight bolts will lose part of the strength performance.

Seismic passive earth thrust of submerged backfill with two-dimensional steady seepage

To investigate the seismic passive earth thrust with two-dimensional steady seepage, a general pseudo-dynamic solution was established based on the limit equilibrium analysis. This solution was purposefully applied to a waterfront gravity wall, which retains a submerged backfill with a drainage system along the backfill-structure interface. The wall was assumed to move towards the backfill to the passive failure state. And the theoretical derivation co.sidered the pore pressures induced by the seepage, the excess pore pressures generated by the earthquake and the seismic inertial forces. Thereinto, the hydrostatic and hydrodynamic pressures were calculated by the analytical formulas, while the seismic forces were obtained by the pseudo-dynamic method. In the parametric study, the results indicate that the velocity of shear wave has a more prominent impact on the seismic passive earth thrust than that of primary wave. Both the horizontal and vertical seismic actions decrease the passive earth pressure, but the horizontal one affects the amplitude of the earth pressure co.fficient more significantly. Moreover, the soil friction and the wall friction distinctly increase the seismic passive earth pressure just like the static situation. The co.parison shows that the results are co.sistent with the previous work, which verifies its validity.

Dynamic behaviors of rockslides subjected to brittle failure of locked segments

Locked segments are reco.nized as a critical role that co.trols the stability of rock slopes but remain an unclear and challenging problem with respect to their role inco.porated into the failure *** order to study the effect of the locked segments on the initial failure process of rockslides,thirty-six groups of locked segment specimens with three different lithologies were prepared,direct shear tests were carried out to obtain the accelerations caused by brittle failure of the locked segment *** results showed that the maximum accelerations caused by the brittle failure of locked segment specimens was 2.91 g in the horizontal direction,and 3.18 g in the vertical *** took the Wangjiayan rockslide in 2008 Wenchuan earthquake as an example,the critical balance co.dition of the sliding mass under co.bined effect of gravity and accelerations induced by brittle failure of locked segment was analyzed,which indicated that the initial failure process of the Wangjiayan rockslides was notably influenced by the existence of the locked *** departure acceleration and direction of the Wangjiayan rockslide were *** study results can provide a new insight into the understanding of the initial failure mechanism of rockslides with locked segments.
