City cluster is an effective platform for encouraging regionally coordinated *** reduction of carbon emissions within city cluster via the spatial association network between cities can help coordinate the regional carbon emission management,realize sustainable development,and assist china in achieving the carbon peaking and carbon neutrality *** paper applies the improved gravity model and social network analysis(SNA)to the study of spatial correlation of carbon emissions in city clusters and analyzes the structural characteristics of the spatial correlation network of carbon emissions in the Yangtze River Delta(YRD)city cluster in china and its influencing *** results demonstrate that:1)the spatial association of carbon emissions in the YRD city cluster exhibits a typical and complex multi-threaded network *** network association number and density show an upward trend,indicating closer spatial association between cities,but their values remain generally ***,the network hierarchy and network efficiency show a downward trend but remain high.2)The spatial association network of carbon emissions in the YRD city cluster shows an obvious‘core-edge’distribution *** network is centered around Shanghai,Suzhou and Wuxi,all of which play the role of‘bridges’,while cities such as Zhoushan,Ma'anshan,Tongling and other cities characterized by the remote location,single transportation mode or lower economic level are positioned at the edge of the network.3)Geographic proximity,varying levels of economic development,different industrial structures,degrees of urbanization,levels of technological innovation,energy intensities and environmental regulation are important influencing factors on the spatial association of within the YRD city ***,policy implications are provided from four aspects:government macro-control and market mechanism guidance,structural characteristics of the‘core-edge’network,reconfigura

Dynamic plugging regulating strategy of pipeline robot based on reinforcement learning

Pipeline isolation plugging robot (PIPR) is an important tool in pipeline maintenance operation. During the plugging process, the violent vibration will occur by the flow field, which can cause serious damage to the pipeline and PIPR. In this paper, we propose a dynamic regulating strategy to reduce the plugging-induced vibration by regulating the spoiler angle and plugging velocity. Firstly, the dynamic plugging simulation and experiment are performed to study the flow field changes during dynamic plugging. And the pressure difference is proposed to evaluate the degree of flow field vibration. Secondly, the mathematical models of pressure difference with plugging states and spoiler angles are established based on the extreme learning machine (ELM) optimized by improved sparrow search algorithm (ISSA). Finally, a modified Q-learning algorithm based on simulated annealing is applied to determine the optimal strategy for the spoiler angle and plugging velocity in real time. The results show that the proposed method can reduce the plugging-induced vibration by 19.9% and 32.7% on average, compared with single-regulating methods. This study can effectively ensure the stability of the plugging process.

Modeling of multiphase flow in low permeability porous media:Effect of wettability and pore structure properties

Multiphase flow in low permeability porous media is involved in numerous energy and environmental ***,a complete description of this process is challenging due to the limited modeling scale and the effects of complex pore structures and *** address this issue,based on the digital rock of low permeability sandstone,a direct numerical simulation is performed considering the interphase drag and boundary slip to clarify the microscopic water-oil displacement *** addition,a dual-porosity pore network model(PNM)is constructed to obtain the water-oil relative permeability of the *** displacement efficiency as a recovery process is assessed under different wetting and pore structure *** show that microscopic displacement mechanisms explain the corresponding macroscopic relative *** injected water breaks through the outlet earlier with a large mass flow,while thick oil films exist in rough hydrophobic surfaces and poorly connected *** variation of water-oil relative permeability is significant,and residual oil saturation is high in the oil-wet *** flooding is extensive,and the residual oil is trapped in complex pore networks for hydrophilic pore surfaces;thus,water relative permeability is lower in the water-wet *** the displacement efficiency is the worst in mixed-wetting systems for poor water *** negatively correlates with invading oil volume fraction due to strong capillary resistance,and a large microporosity corresponds to low residual oil *** work provides insights into the water-oil flow from different modeling perspectives and helps to optimize the development plan for enhanced recovery.

The continually-discovered large volumes of marine hydrocarbons indicate a huge exploration potential within the carbonate rocks of Ordovician in the Tarim Basin,northwestern *** Middle-Upper Ordovician (O2+3) carbonate source rocks are at a highly mature *** rocks presently contain a low amount of total organic carbon (TOCpd≤0.5%)(TOCpdmeans the present-day TOC).A mass balance approach is used to identify the source rocks that have expelled *** characteristics and origin of hydrocarbon expulsion from low-TOCpdsource rocks are studied,which are significant for oil exploration in the *** results showed that a low-TOCpdO2+3source rock having expelled hydrocarbons was type I and had a very narrow oil *** a high rock maturity and a high original TOC （TOC_o） value exceeding 1%,nearly80%of the generated hydrocarbons were *** content of gammacerane and C28steranes in the oil and source rock extracts were relatively lean,with a V-shaped distribution of regular steranes,suggesting a possible genetic relation between the low-TOCpdsource rocks and the marine oil in the Tabei *** planktonic algae or acritarchs were the main hydrocarbon parent materials,distributed in the subsiding platform-slope *** matter was preserved under reducing conditions,and source rocks were formed with a favorable kerogen type and a moderate hydrocarbon generation *** study illustrates the hydrocarbon expulsion of low TOCpdsource rocks in northern Tarim Basin,which is greatly significant for analyzing the genesis of marine crude oil in Tarim Basin,and evaluating the distribution of marine source *** research method is theoretically significant for oil and gas exploration in the same type of highlymature carbonate paleobasins.

Numerical Investigation of Combined Production of Natural Gas Hydrate and Conventional Gas

Natural gas hydrate(NGH)is generally produced and accumulated together with the underlying conventional ***,optimizing the production technology of these two gases should be seen as a relevant way to effectively reduce the exploitation cost of the gas *** this study,three types of models accounting for the coexistence of these gases are *** A considers the upper hydrate-bearing layer(HBL)adjacent to the lower conventional gas layer(CGL);with the Type B a permeable interlayer exists between the upper HBL and the lower CGL;with the type C there is an impermeable interlayer between the upper HBL and the lower *** production performances associated with the above three models are calculated under different conditions,including only a depressurized HBL(only HBL DP);only a depressurized CGL(only CGL DP);and both the HBL and the CGL being depressurized(HBL+CGL DP).The results show that for Type A and Type B coexistence accumulation models,when only HBL or CGL is depressurized,the gas from the other layer will flow into the production layer due to the pressure difference between the two *** the coexistence accumulation model of type C,the cumulative gas production is much lower than that of Type A and Type B,regardless of whether only HBL DP,only CGL DP,or HBL+CGL DP are *** indicates that the impermeable interlayer restricts the cross-flow of gas between HBL and *** three different coexistence accumulation models,CGL DP has the largest gas-to-water ratio.

A Gasification Technology to Combine Oil Sludge with Coal–Water Slurry: CFD Analysis and Performance Determination

The development of more environment-friendly ways to dispose of oil sludge is currently regarded as a hot topic. In this context, gasification technologies are generally seen as a promising way to combine oil sludge with coal–water slurry (CWS) and generate resourceful fuel. In this study, a novel five-nozzle gasifier reactor was analyzed by means of a CFD (Computational fluid dynamic) method. Among several influential factors, special attention was paid to the height-to-diameter ratio of the gasifier and the mixing ratio of oil sludge, which are known to have a significant impact on the flow field, temperature distribution and gasifier performances. According to the numerical results, the optimal height-to-diameter ratio and oil mixing ratio are about 2.4:1 and 20%, respectively. Furthermore, the carbon conversion rate can become as high as 98.55% with the hydrolysis rate reaching a value of 53.88%. The consumption of raw coal and oxygen is generally reduced, while the effective gas production is increased to 50.93 mol/%.

The mechanisms of thermal solidification agent promoting steam diversion in heavy oil reservoirs

At high cycles of steam huff & puff, oil distribution in reservoirs becomes stronger heterogeneity due to steam channeling. Thermal solidification agent can be used to solve this problem. Its solution is a lowviscosity liquid at normal temperature, but it can be solidified above 80°C. The plugging degree is up to 99% at 250°C. The sweep efficiency reaches 59.2%, which is 7.3% higher than pure steam injection. In addition, simultaneous injection of viscosity reducer and/or nitrogen foams can further enhance oil recovery. The mechanism of this technology depends on its strong plugging ability, which changes the flowing pattern of steam to effectively mobilize remaining oil. Viscosity reducer and nitrogen foams further expand the sweep range and extends the effective period. Therefore, thermal solidification agent can plug steam channeling paths and adjust steam flowing direction to significantly enhance oil recovery at high cycles of steam huff & puff.

A hybrid machine learning optimization algorithm for multivariable pore pressure prediction

Pore pressure is essential data in drilling design,and its accurate prediction is necessary to ensure drilling safety and improve drilling *** methods for predicting pore pressure are limited when forming particular structures and *** this paper,a machine learning algorithm and effective stress theorem are used to establish the transformation model between rock physical parameters and pore *** study collects data from three *** 1 had 881 data sets for model training,and Wells 2 and 3 had 538 and 464 data sets for model *** this paper,support vector machine(SVM),random forest(RF),extreme gradient boosting(XGB),and multilayer perceptron(MLP)are selected as the machine learning algorithms for pore pressure *** addition,this paper uses the grey wolf optimization(GWO)algorithm,particle swarm optimization(PSO)algorithm,sparrow search algorithm(SSA),and bat algorithm(BA)to establish a hybrid machine learning optimization algorithm,and proposes an improved grey wolf optimization(IGWO)*** IGWO-MLP model obtained the minimum root mean square error(RMSE)by using the 5-fold cross-validation method for the training *** the pore pressure data in Well 2 and Well 3,the coefficients of determination(R^(2))of SVM,RF,XGB,and MLP are 0.9930 and 0.9446,0.9943 and 0.9472,0.9945 and 0.9488,0.9949 and *** achieves optimal performance on both training and test data,and the MLP model shows a high degree of *** indicates that the IGWO-MLP is an excellent predictor of pore pressure and can be used to predict pore pressure.

Multi-gradient drilling is a new offshore drilling *** accurate calculation of the related wellbore temperature is of great significance for the prediction of the gas hydrate formation area and the precise control of the wellbore *** this study,a new heat transfer model is proposed by which the variable mass flow is properly taken into *** this model,the effects of the main factors influencing the wellbore temperature are *** results indicate that at the position where the separation injection device is installed,the temperature increase of the fluid in the drill pipe is mitigated due to the inflow/outflow of hollow spheres,and the temperature drop of the fluid in the annulus also *** addition,a lower separation efficiency of the device,a shallower installation depth and a smaller circulating displacement tend to increase the temperature near the bottom of the annulus,thereby helping to reduce the hydrate generation area and playing a positive role in the prevention and control of hydrates in deepwater drilling.
