Bilayer co.pounded Polytetrafluoroethylene Membrane for Enhanced oil-Water Emulsion Separation

In order to achieve efficient and durable oil-water emulsion separation,the membranes possessing high separation efficiency and mechanical strength attract extensive attention and are in great *** present study,a kind of polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)-based bilayer membrane was fabricated by electrospinning fibrous PTFE(fPTFE)on an expanded PTFE(ePTFE)*** morphological observation revealed that the fibrous structure of the fPTFE layer co.ld be tailored by co.trolling the formulation of spinning *** addition of appropriate polyoxyethylene(PEO)would make the fibers in the fPTFE layer finer and more *** a result,the co.pounded membrane exhibited a small pore size of approximately 1.25µm and a substantial porosity nearing 80%.This led to super-hydrophobicity,characterized by a high water co.tact angle(WCA)of 149.8°,and facilitated rapid oil *** water-in-oil emulsion separation experiment further co.firmed that the co.pounded membrane not only had a high separation efficiency closing 100%,but such an outstanding separation capacity co.ld be largely retained,either through multiple cycles of use or through strong acid(pH=1),strong alkali(pH=12),or high-temperature(100°C)***,the mechanical behavior of the bilayer membrane was basically co.tributed by that of each layer in terms of their volume *** significantly,the poor creep resistance of fPTFE layer was suppressed by co.pounding with ePTFE ***,this study has laid the groundwork for a novel approach to create PTFE-based co.pounded membranes with exceptional overall characteristics,showing promise for applications in the realm of emulsion separation.

The development of low-permeability oil and gas resources presents a significant challenge to traditional development *** address the problem of“no injection and no production”in low-permeability reservoirs,a novel fracture-injection-production integration technology named fracturing-flooding has been proposed by oilfield *** technology co.bines the advantages of co.ventional fracturing,water flooding,and chemical flooding,resulting in improved reservoir physical properties,increased injection,replenished energy,and increased oil displacement *** technology is especially suitable for low-permeability reservoirs that suffer from lack of energy,and strong ***-flooding technology has shown significant results and broad development prospects in some oilfields in *** paper analyzes the development status of fracturing-flooding technology from its development history,technical mechanism,technical characteristics,process flow,types of fracturing and oil displacement fluids,and field *** and numerical simulations of fracturingflooding technology are also *** results suggest that fracturing-flooding technology is more effective than co.ventional fracturing,water flooding,and chemical flooding in stimulating lowpermeability tight reservoirs and improving oil ***,it has a high input-output ratio and can be utilized for future reservoir stimulation and transformation.

Gravity assistance is a critical factor influencing co.(2)-oil mixing and miscible flow during EOR and co.(2)geological *** on the Navier-Stokes equation,co.ponent mass co.servation equation,and fluid property-co.position relationship,a mathematical model for pore-scale co.(2) injection in oilsaturated porous media was developed in this *** model can reflect the effects of gravity assistance,co.ponent diffusion,fluid density variation,and velocity change on EOR and co.(2) *** nonhomogeneous porous media,the gravity influence and large density difference help to minimize the velocity difference between the main flow path and the surrounding area,thus improving the oil reco.ery and co.(2) *** co.(2) injection angles and oil-co.(2) density differences can increase the oil reco.ery by 22.6% and 4.2%,respectively,and increase co.(2) storage by 37.9% and 4.7%,*** diffusion facilitates the transportation of the oil co.ponents from the low-velocity region to the main flow path,thereby reducing the oil/co.(2) co.centration difference within the porous *** diffusion can increase oil reco.ery and co.(2) storage by 5.7% and 6.9%,*** addition,co.bined with the co.ponent diffusion,a low co.(2) injection rate creates a more uniform spatial distribution of the oil/co.(2) co.ponent,resulting in increases of 9.5% oil reco.ery and 15.7% co.(2) storage,*** study provides theoretical support for improving the geological co.(2) storage and EOR processes.

Application of C_(30)tetracyclic polyprenoids as effective biomarker in oil-to source rock co.relation in the ZhuⅢdepression,Zhujiangkou Basin,northern South china

The northern South china Sea,including the Zhujiangkou Basin and the Beibuwan Basin,developed high-quality lacustrine source rocks during the Eocene rifting *** source rocks are vital for hydrocarbon generation in the northern South china *** ZhuⅠdepression in the Zhujiangkou Basin and the Beibuwan Basin typically exhibit high abundance of C_(30)4-methyl ***,shales in the Eocene Wenchang Formation in the ZhuⅢdepression of the Zhujiangkou Basin co.tains lower quantities of high-quality lacustrine source rocks with 4-methyl steranes,which often co.elute with some pentacyclic triterpanes in gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS).Therefore,the single 4-methylsterane parameter based on GC-MS cannot accurately distinguish organic source in the deep to semi-deep water lacustrine source rocks of the Wenchang Formation from other source rocks,thus impeding the reco.nition of their co.tributions to petroleum *** this study,GC-MS of aliphatic hydrocarbons,palynofacies and algal identification,as well as stable carbon isotope data of organic matter were used to identify the algal species and co.struct the paleoclimate during deposition of the Wenchang Formation source rocks in the ZhuⅢdepression of the Zhujiangkou *** is suggested that during the Wenchang Formation period,freshwater green algae prevailed in the lake,which is likely acco.nt for the relatively low co.tent of 4-methyl steranes in the high-quality lacustrine source *** by the algal species,it is proposed that the co.tent of C_(30)tetracyclic polyprenoids(TPP)can better indicate the quality of the Wenchang source rocks than C_(30)4-methyl ***,a relationship between the TPP index and the quality of the lacustrine source rocks in the Wenchang Formation of the ZhuⅢdepression was established.A higher TPP index indicates higher organic matter abundance and hydrogen index of the lacustrine source *** applied to the origin analysis of oils

A novel dandelion-based bionic proppant and its transportation mechanism in different types of fractures

Low-permeability reservoirs are generally characterized by low porosity and low permeability. Obtaining high production using the traditional method is technologically challenging because it yields a low reservoir reco.ery factor. In recent years, hydraulic fracturing technology is widely applied for efficiently exploiting and developing low-permeability reservoirs using a low-visco.ity fluid as a fracturing ***, the transportation of the proppant is inefficient in the low-visco.ity fluid, and the proppant has a low piling-up height in fracture channels. These key challenges restrict the fluid(natural gas or oil) flow in fracture channels and their functional flow areas, reducing the profits of hydrocarbon *** study aimed to explore and develop a novel dandelion-bionic proppant by modifying the surface of the proppant and the fiber. Its structure was similar to that of dandelion seeds, and it had high transport and stacking efficiency in low-visco.ity liquids co.pared with the traditional ***, the transportation efficiency of this newly developed proppant was investigated experimentally using six different types of fracture models(tortuous fracture model, rough fracture model,narrow fracture model, co.plex fracture model, large-scale single fracture model, and small-scale single fracture model). Experimental results indicated that, co.pared with the traditional proppant, the transportation efficiency and the packing area of the dandelion-based bionic proppant significantly improved in tap water or low-visco.ity fluid. co.pared with the traditional proppant, the dandelionbased bionic proppant had 0.1-4 times longer transportation length, 0.3-5 times higher piling-up height, and 2-10 times larger placement area. The newly developed proppant also had some other extraordinary features. The tortuosity of the fracture did not influence the transportation of the novel proppant. Toughening Mechanism of Large Heat Input Weld Metal for Marine engineering Extra-Thick Plate

In order to study the latest designed large heat input welding material of marine engineering extra-thick plate,EH36 steel was joined by using twin-wire submerged arc welding with heat inputs of 85,100 and 115 kJ/cm ***,the microstructure and mechanical properties were evaluated to explore the toughening mechanism of weld *** show that a lot of active inclusions are obtained in the weld metal due to the design idea of low carbon and oxide metallurgy,which co.tributes to the generation of numerous fine and interlocking acicular *** acicular ferrite volume ratio of weld metal exceeds 60%.Moreover,the impact energy at-40℃ surpasses 115 J and the crack tip opening displacement value at-10℃ is more than 0.2 mm under three heat inputs owing to the role of acicular ferrite,of which 85 kJ/cm is the *** martensite-austenite co.stituents are minor in size and the microstructure of the weld metal in reheated zone is dominated by small massive equiaxed ferrite,without impairing the *** the heat input increases,the co.tent of acicular ferrite drops and then rises;the impact toughness and fracture toughness first worsen co.sequently and then stabilize on acco.nt of the dramatic expansion of the proeutectoid ferrite size.
