Late Tertiary faults and their paleostress along the boundary between the Kuqa Basin and the Tianshan Mountains

Field investigation shows that the boundary between the Kuqa Basin and the Tianshan Mountains can be divided into two sections with the Yanbulak area as the di-viding point. In the western section, the Mesozoic strata overlie unconformably on the Paleozoic rocks. The ba-sin-dipping faults developed in both Mesozoic and Paleozoic rocks. The eastern section is characterized by basin-dipping normal faults separating the Paleozoic strata and Tertiary. The brittle structural analysis was carried out along the ba-sin-range boundary. 360 measurements of striations have been obtained at a total of 25 sites. Paleostress reconstruction indicates that the basin-range boundary was in an exten-sional condition, with some superimposed strike-slip, during the Late Tertiary. The extension could be explained by the vertical block uplift of the Tianshan Mountains.

china petroleum Design & Engineering company (CPDEC) is a new corporation established in the year 2001. The company puts forward its development objectives for becoming a first-class national and international desigh firm within 5 to 10 years. In this paper, the theories and techniques related to the business environment and strategy are used to make an analysis of the companys development objectives. According to the analysis of the environment and internal conditions of CPDEC, we suggest adoping the strategic measures for reaching the development objectives on the basis of the SWOT (the acronym of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats) analysis method. Some conclusions and recommendations on the companys situation and strategies are given.

Poly(glycolic acid)(PGA)is derived from glycolide obtained by fermenting pineapples or sugarcane,which has excellent gas barrier properties and a small carbon *** is a potential substitute for the current aluminum-plastic composite films used in high barrier packaging ***,its poor ductility and narrow processing window limit its application in food ***,poly(butylene succinate-co-butylene adipate)(PBSA)was used to fabricate PGA/PBSA blend films through an in situ fibrillation technique and blown film *** the elongational flow field used during the extrusion process,a unique hierarchical structure based on the PBSA nanofibrils and interfacially oriented PGA crystals was *** structure enhances the strength,ductility and gas barrier properties of the PGA/PBSA blend *** addition,an epoxy chain extender(ADR4468)was used as a compatibilizer to further enhance the interfacial adhesion between PGA and PBSA.70PGA/0.7ADR exhibited a very low oxygen permeability(2.34×10^(-4)Barrer)with significantly high elongating at break(604.4%),tensile strength(47.4 MPa),and transparency,which were superior to those of petroleum-based ***,the 70PGA/0.7ADR blown films could satisfy the requirements for most instant foods such as coffee,peanuts,and fresh meat.

The anti-correlation method for removing harmonic distortion in vibroseis slip-sweep data

The slip-sweep technique is one of the high-efficiency, high-fidelity, and environmental vibroseis seismic prospecting techniques which consists of a vibrator group sweeping without waiting for the previous group＇s sweep to terminate. The cycle time can be reduced drastically and hence the production efficiency can be increased significantly but harmonic distortion of one sweep will leak into the record of the other sweep. In this paper, we propose an anti-correlation method for removing harmonic distortion in vibroseis data. This method is based on decomposition of the ground force signal into fundamental and harmonic components. Then the corresponding anti-correlation operator can be computed to estimate the energy of each harmonic after correlating the vibroseis data with the corresponding harmonic component. Finally, the vibroseis harmonic noise to be removed can be obtained by subtracting the extracted harmonic noise from the traces of the previous group＇s sweep. The advantage of the proposed method is that it can process both uncorrelated and correlated vibroseis seismic data. Moreover, the algorithm is simple, stable, and computationally fast. Especially, the significant contribution of this method is a considerable reduction in the harmonic without any alteration of the desired signals. The method was tested on both synthetic and field data sets to validate the good harmonic noise suppression results.
