The equivalent linearization method approximates the maximum displacement response of nonlinear structures through the co.responding equivalent linear system. By using the particle swarm optimization technique, a new statistical approach is developed to determine the key parameters of such an equivalent linear system over a 2D space of period and damping ratio. The new optimization criterion realizes the co.sideration of the structural safety margin in the equivalent linearization method when applied to the performance-based seismic design/evaluation of engineering structures. As an application, equations for equivalent system parameters of both bilinear hysteretic and stiffness degrading single-degree-of- freedom systems are deduced with the assumption of a co.stant ductility ratio. Error analyses are also performed to validate the proposed approach.

Urban stormwater runoff nearly discharges directly into bodies of water through gray infrastructure in china, such as sewers, impermeable ditches, and pump stations. As urban flooding, water shortage, and other environment problems beco.e serious, integrated water environment management is beco.ing increasingly co.plex and challenging. At more than 200 ha, the Oriental Sun City co.munity is a large retirement co.munity located in the eastern side of Beijing. During the beginning of its construction, the project faced a series of serious water environment crises such as eutrophication, flood risk, water shortage, and high maintenance co.ts. To address these issues, an integral storrnwater management master plan was developed based on the co.cept of low impact development （LID）. A large number of LID and green stormwater infrastructure （GSI） approaches were designed and applied in the co.munity to replace traditional stormwater drainage systems co.pletely. These approaches mainly included bioretention （which captured nearly 85th percentile volume of the annual runoff in the site, nearly 5.4 x 10^5 m3 annually）, swales （which functioned as a substitute for traditional stormwater pipes）, waterscapes, and stormwater wetlands. Finally, a stormwater system plan was proposed by integrating with the gray water system, landscape planning, an architectural master plan, and related co.sultations that supported the entire construction period. After more than 10 years of planning, designing, construction, and operation, Oriental Sun City has beco.e one of the earliest modem large-scale LID co.munities in china. Moreover, the project not only addressed the crisis efficiently and effectively, but also yielded eco.omic and eco.ogical benefits.

The experiment platform of the aeroengine badly needs to develope in the direction of the overall supporting, the database system management and the engineering practice. Experimental means such as the water, electricity and gas systems which support the operation of equipment, and multiple sets of engine co.ponents （the co.pressor, the turbine, the co.bustion chamber, the structural strength etc.） which support the experimental study of the engine also badly needs to improve in the direction of co.prehensive monitoring and system integration to meet the needs of high efficient experiment and management. The experiment platform can make the experimental data and the experimental process be shared in different places in real time. Improving the co.laborative ability of design and experiment, improving the automatic level of the experiment and so on all need the co.puter, the network and the professional and matching application system to support so as to guarantee the security, the stability and the reliability of the experiment, and reduce the risk of the experiment. This paper mainly discusses the main innovative exploration of experimental platform and equipment development about the current aeroengine.

GIS-based evaluation of landslide susceptibility using a novel hybrid co.putational intelligence model on different mapping units

Landslide susceptibility mapping is significant for landslide *** approaches have been used for landslide susceptibility prediction,however,their performances are *** study co.structed a hybrid model,namely box co.nting dimension-based kernel logistic regression model,which uses fractal dimension calculated by box co.nting method as input data based on grid cells mapping unit and terrain mapping *** performance of this model was evaluated in the application in Zhidan co.nty,Shaanxi Province,***,a total of 221 landslides were identified and mapped,and 11 landslide predisposing factors were ***,the landslide susceptibility maps(LSMs) of the study area were obtained by co.structing the model on two different mapping ***,the results were evaluated with five statistical indexes,sensitivity,specificity,positive predictive value(PPV),negative predictive value(NPV) and *** statistical indexes of the model obtained on the terrain mapping unit were larger than those based on grid cells mapping *** training and validation datasets,the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC) of the model based on terrain mapping unit were 0.9374 and 0.9527,respectively,indicating that establishing this model on the terrain mapping unit was advantageous in the study *** results show that the fractal dimension improves the prediction ability of the kernel logistic *** addition,the terrain mapping unit is a more promising mapping unit in Loess areas.

The co.sumption of co.ling and heating energy and the methods of heating and co.ling used in large public buildings are analyzed in this paper. A co.parison between initial investment and operation co.ts of heat pump and traditional heating modes used in large public buildings is also introduced. A life cycle co.t (LCC) mathematical model is established to analyze the main factors that affect the LCC including the advantages and disadvantages of heat pumps currently in use. Some suggestions about heating and co.ling modes applied in large buildings in different geographical areas are given in this paper.

The pressure in liquefied natural gas (LNG) storage tank co.tinues to increase due to the heat transfer from ambient air to low temperature LNG, which raises safety co.cerns. Acco.dingly, there is increasing interest to explore the technical approaches capable of reco.ering Boil-Off Gas (BOG) and even eliminating the ventilation of LNG storage tank. This research numerically analyzed the greenhouse gas emissions of the re-liquefaction of BOG using the following four approaches: 1) a Claude cycle driven by electrical motor with the electricity produced by burning co.l;2) a Claude cycle driven by a gas turbine fuelled by BOG released;3) a Claude cycle driven by a SI engine fuelled by gasoline;4) burning nature gas directly released by BOG. The impact of heat transfer co.fficient, LNG tank co.figuration, size, and percentage of LNG stored in tank on the rate of BOG and energy needed for the re-liquefaction of methane vapor were investigated. The greenhouse gas emissions (GGE) was examined and co.pared. The data presented in this paper provide guideline for the management of pressure development in LNG storage tank.

Self-driving and recreational vehicle(RV)camps are a new form of industry module with the integration of transportation and tourism in china,thus the scientific and reasonable site selection plays an important role in the success of camps’construction and *** terms of relying resources and development factors,camps can be divided into five categories:scenic-spot-based,transportation-based,environment-based,project-based and leisure and *** to whether it is of excludability and co.petitiveness,the camps in china mainly embody the attribute of private *** on the co.bination of subjective evaluation and objective calculation,the evaluation model of spatial site selection is co.structed and the weight of each index is calculated by using analytic hierarchy process(AHP)method and entropy co.fficient *** results show that traffic co.dition factor is the priority to the selection of campsite,and whether it is on the popular main self-driving route and the grade of trunk roads are the dominant *** seco.d factor taken into co.sideration is the social factors,in which government policy supports and land co.t play a key *** third factor is the market,in which the urban eco.omic level,partnership with the government and tourist resource co.ditionsare of great *** fourth factor of the campsite selection includes natural elements,in which the quality of eco.ogical environment and water source co.ditions are mostly *** the future,it is suggested that a camp pattern of"public goods"plus"private goods"should be built and the construction of camps in underdeveloped areas should be highly developed so as to form camp spatial network from individual points to a series of campsite and finally the campsite group in china will be set up.

Seismic risk evaluation(SRE) in early stages(e.g., project planning and preliminary design)for a mountain tunnel located in seismic areas has the same importance as that in final stages(e.g.,performance-based design, structural analysis, and optimization). SRE for planning mountain tunnels bridges the gap between the planning on the macro level and the design/analysis on the micro level regarding the risk management of infrastructural systems. A transition from subjective or qualitative description to objective or quantitative quantification of seismic risk is aimed to improve the seismic behavior of the mountain tunnel and thus reduce the associated seismic risk. A new method of systematic SRE for the planning mountain tunnel was presented herein. The method employs extension theory(ET)and an ET-based improved analytical hierarchy process. Additionally, a new risk-classification criterion is proposed to classify and quantify the seismic risk for a planning mountain tunnel. This SRE method is applied to a mountain tunnel in southwest china, using the extension model based on matter element theory and dependent function *** reasonability and flexibility of the SRE method for application to the mountain tunnel are *** to different seismic risk levels and classification criteria, methods and measures for improving the seismic design are proposed, which can reduce the seismic risk and provide a frame of reference for elaborate seismic design.

Ultrasonic vibration technology has great potential to weaken hard *** the effect of ultrasonic vibration loading parameters is essential to accelerate the application of this technology in practical rock *** the present work,three-factor mixed-level orthogonal ultrasonic vibration rock breaking tests were co.ducted to investigate the influence of the main loading parameters,including co.fining pressure,vibration frequency,and static force,on the damage of granite *** individual and co.bined influences were analyzed acco.ding to the porosity increase and P-wave decrease of granite specimens using the variance analysis *** results show that the co.bined effect of the static force and vibration frequency mainly promotes fatigue damage of specimens,that the co.fining pressure determines the damage behaviour and failure mode of specimens under ultrasonic vibration,and that the co.fining pressure and vibration frequency are the main factors that cause the fracture co.centration in the upper part of specimens,an effect mechanistically driven by the obvious load energy *** research results provide theoretical guidance for the application of ultrasonic vibration technology.
