Application and realization of key technologies in china railway e-ticketing system

Purpose–With the yearly increase of mileage and passenger volume in china’s high-speed railway,the problems of traditional paper railway tickets have become increasingly prominent,including complexity of business handling process,low efficiency of ticket inspection and high cost of usage and *** paper aims to make extensive references to successful experiences of electronic ticket applications both domestically and *** research on key technologies and system implementation of railway electronic ticket with Chinese characteristics has been carried ***/methodology/approach–Research in key technologies is conducted including synchronization technique in distributed heterogeneous database system,the grid-oriented passenger service record(PSR)data storage model,efficient access to massive PSR data under high concurrency condition,the linkage between face recognition service platforms and various terminals in large scenarios,and two-factor authentication of the e-ticket identification code based on the key and the user identity *** on the key technologies and architecture the of existing ticketing system,multiple service resources are expanded and developed such as electronic ticket clusters,PSR clusters,face recognition clusters and electronic ticket identification code ***–The proportion of paper ticket printed has dropped to 20%,saving more than 2 billion tickets annually since the launch of the application of E-ticketing *** average time for passengers to pass through the automatic ticket gates has decreased from 3 seconds to 1.3 seconds,significantly improving the efficiency of passenger transport ***,problems of paper ticket counterfeiting,reselling and loss have been generally ***/value–E-ticketing has laid a technical foundation for the further development of railway passenger transport services in the direction of digitalization and intelligence.

Viscoelastic deformation behavior of cement and emulsified asphalt mortar in china railway track system I prefabricated slab track

Under repeated train-induced loads, cement and emulsified asphalt mortar(CA mortar) as a viscoelastic material has a time-dependent deformation, part of which is irreversible. This could lead to debonding between the mortar layer and the track slab. Based on the theory of viscoelasticity and the analytical method of the time hardening law(THL), the viscoelastic deformation behavior of CA mortar was studied. Using ABAQUS, we established a solid model of china railway track system(CRTS) Ⅰ prefabricated slab track, with CA mortar at different initial Young’s moduli under cyclic loading corresponding to the influence of actual train loads. The results reveal that the fitted parameters of the THL for CA mortar are suitable for describing its viscoelastic deformation. As the initial Young’s modulus increases, the strain difference before and after cyclic loading gradually decreases, and the displacement difference increases from 0.2 mm to 0.6 mm. The deformation mainly occurs at the end of a mortar layer with longitudinal distribution of about 2.5 times the fasteners’ spacing. It follows that the viscoelastic performance of CA mortar is one of the most important reasons that cause debonding underneath the track slab. Therefore, we suggest that the adverse effects of viscoelastic behavior of CA mortar should be considered when researching such deformation and damage.

Can Trade Facilitation Prevent the Formation of Zombie Firms?Evidence from the china railway Express

Bayesian network-based risk evaluation model for the operational requirements of the china railway Express under the Belt and Road initiative

The operation of the china railway Express features numerous links across several regions and countries. Effectively controlling therisks involved in the operation of the china railway Express is crucial for ensuring safety and efficiency and promoting the sustainabledevelopment of the china railway Express. The Bayesian network-based risk-management model was built corresponding to theactual operation of the china railway Express;the model used an advanced risk-management theory. The sensitivity analysis of riskfactors and Bayesian network inference were realized using the expectation-maximization and clique-tree propagation *** the risk-checklistmethod, 17 risk-related factors were analysed on 17 nodes of the Bayesian network fromthree perspectives—safety, efficiency and effectiveness—based on expert opinions and the actual operating conditions of the china railway *** from a sensitivity analysis and evidence inference of the Bayesian network model indicated that the sensitivity coefficients ofnodes N01, N04, N07, N08 and N17 of the network were high. Moreover, the risk-occurrence probabilities for nodes N01, N04, N06,N07 and N09 were higher in the case of reverse inference. Our results revealed the crucial factors influencing the risk. The identifiedrisk factors included the stability of the political environment in countries along the route, conditions of station infrastructures andthe complexity of the process of changing rails and reloading. Further, risk-management suggestions were provided. By establishinga sound risk-management framework, reliable assessment and management could be realized in accordance with changes in theoperating conditions of the china railway Express.

Does the china railway Express Promote Equitable Regional Development?Evidence from Manufacturing Relocation

The china railway Express(CRE)has improved regional economic integration with external markets and has reshaped regional development by encouraging the relocation of manufacturing activities("manufacturing transfer").We analyzed data from 284 prefecture-level cities in china to evaluate the impact of the CRE on regional manufacturing relocation,using a staggered difference-in-diferences model with entropy *** found that the launch of the CRE significantly stimulated the relocation of manufacturing industries to node cities-key hubs for transportation and logistics within the CRE network-especially in the central,western,and northeastern ***,the CRE significantly increased manufacturing dynamism,firm profitability,openness,and foreign investment in node cities,which attracted more manufacturing industries to relocate in this *** levels of infrastructure development moderated the CRE's *** analysis showed that significant moderating effects of infrastructure development occurred only in the western ***,our conclusions provide useful insights into how to promote equitable regional development through manufacturing development in china.

Transportation Infrastructure Quality Effect on Economic Growth： Evidence from the china railway Speed-Up Campaigns

Beginning in 1997, china implemented a six-round campaign to accelerate train service, known as the ＂ china railway Speed-Up Campaign＇＂ which greatly increased railway capacity and improved the quality of rail facilities. This can be seen as a natural experiment of the effects of improving the quality of transportation infrastructure. Using the Beijing- Guangzhou Line and the Beijing-Shanghai Line as examples, this paper creates city-level panel data for stations along accelerated lines and traditional stations for the years between 1994 and 2006 and systematically examines the campaign＇s effect on economic growth using difference-in-difference （DID） methodology. Our research concludes that railway acceleration has promoted economic growth in cities with stations on upgraded rail lines. Over the entire period of the speed-up campaign, the per capita GDP growth rate has risen by 3.7percentage points in cities with upgraded stations versus cities with traditional stations. Moreover, positive effects on economic growth have been found to increase in later stages of railway upgrades.

The implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative and the increasing frequency of the china-Europe railway Express(CER Express)have brought new improvement to the production system of enterprises along the Belt and Road *** the basis of summarizing the evolution of production system of enterprises,this paper takes TCL Poland Plant as an example to conduct an in-depth study on the characteristics of the plant's current production system and its differences from the original production system,and analyzes the impact of the CER Express on its current production *** conclusions can be drawn as follows.(1)CER Express had a great impact on the production system of TCL Poland Plant,which is mainly manifested in the following ***,the transport of raw materials by CER Express improves the time efficiency and shortens the whole supply ***,CER Express acts as a"moving inventory",which realizes the flexibility of raw material inventory and"zero inventory"effect based on the punctual ***,the time and inventory effects brought by CER Express speed up the response to European *** comprehensive benefits brought by CER Express lead to a more punctual and lean production system,meet the diversified needs of consumers on account of product quality and diversification,and improve ability to expand European market.(2)On the basis of abandoning the original"Rigid Mass Production"system,we argue that TCL Poland Plant formed a unique production system—"Global Fluid Just-in-Time"which absorbed the essence of Toyota Production System based on the punctual transnational transportation of CER Express.(3)The differences between the current and the original production systems of TCL Poland Plant are mainly focused on the following aspects:the difference of transport and storage mode of raw materials,and the changes of production line,production mode and quality inspection organization,etc.
