Helicobacter pylori(***)infection remains the leading cause of gastric adenocarcinoma,and its eradication primarily relies on the prolonged and intensive use of two ***,antibiotic resistance has become a compelling health issue,leading to *** eradication treatment failure ***,the powerlessness of antibiotics against biofilms,as well as intracellular *** and the long-term damage of antibiotics to the intestinal microbiota,have also created an urgent demand for antibiotic-free ***,we describe an antibiotic-free,multifunctional copperorganic framework(HKUsT-1)platform encased in a lipid layer comprising phosphatidic acid(PA),rhamnolipid(RHL),and cholesterol(CHOL),enveloped in chitosan(Cs),and loaded in an ascorbyl palmitate(AP)hydrogel:AP@Cs@Lip@*** platform targets inflammatory sites where *** aggregates through electrostatic ***,hydrolysis by matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs)releases Cs-encased nanoparticles,disrupting bacterial urease activity and membrane ***,RHL disperses biofilms,while PA promotes lysosomal acidification and activates host autophagy,enabling clearance of intracellular ***,AP@Cs@Lip@HKUsT-1 alleviates inflammation and enhances mucosal repair through delayed Cu^(2+) release while preserving the intestinal ***,this platform presents an advanced therapeutic strategy for eradicating persistent *** infection without inducing drug resistance.

Corilagin alleviates podocyte injury in diabetic nephropathy by regulating autophagy via the sIRT1-AMPK pathway

Vitamin A deficiency suppresses CEACAM1 to impair colonic epithelial barrier function via downregulating microbial-derived short-chain fatty acids

Vitamin A (VA) plays an essential role in modulating both the gut microbiota and gut barrier ***-chain fatty acids (sCFAs),as metabolites of the gut microbiota,protect the physiological intestinal barrier;however,they are compromised when VA is ***,there is an urgent need to understand how and which sCFAs modulate colonic epithelial barrier integrity in VA deficiency (VAD).Herein,compared with normal VA rats (VAN),at the beginning of pregnancy,we confirmed that the colonic desmosome junction was impaired in the VAD group,and the amounts of acetate,propionate,and butyrate declined because of the decreased abundance of sCFA-producing bacteria (Romboutsia ,Collinsella ,and Allobaculum ).The differentially expressed genes correlated with the gut barrier and the histone deacetylase complex between the VAD and VAN groups were enriched by RNA *** the VAD group,the expression levels of colonic CEA cell adhesion molecule 1 (CEACAM1) were down-regulated,and the levels of histone deacetylase 1 (HDAC1) and HDAC3 were ***,the above changes in the VAD groups were rescued by VA supplementation in the early postnatal *** study indicated that in Caco-2 cells,butyrate treatment significantly repressed the enrichment of HDAC3 on the promoter of the CEACAM1 gene to induce its *** findings support that butyrate intervention can alleviate the impairment of colonic barrier function caused by VAD,and timely postnatal VA intervention may reverse the damage caused by VAD on gut barrier integrity during pregnancy.

splenic infarction(sI)is a rare clinical phenomenon that occurs when the blood supply to the spleen is interrupted,resulting in tissue ischemia and necrosis[1].There are many causes of sI;in adult patients,cardioembolism,hematological malignancy,and infectious disease are the most common[2].Rheumatic diseases,especially systemic lupus erythematosus(sLE)and granulomatosis with polyangitis,can also lead to sI[3];however,only a few cases have been *** are currently no statistically meaningful data on the etiology of sI in *** most patients with sI can recover after conservative treatment,a small number of patients develop complications,such as splenic abscess,splenic rupture,splenic hemorrhage,and hemoperitoneum,and may even undergo splenectomy in severe cases.
