Being a Th2 stimulator,classic aluminum salt-based adjuvants only stimulate weak cellular immune responses that are required for vaccination against intracellular viruses or cancerous *** a thirdgeneration bisphosphonate,zoledronate(ZOL)can enhance antigen crosspresentation by inhibiting key enzymes of the mevalonate ***,we developed the subunit antigen ovalbumin(OVA)and ZOL co-loaded aluminum hydroxide nanoparticles(APN-OVA-ZOL)and investigated their capacity for inducing cellular immune responses against the *** results showed that the developed nanovaccines could successfully encapsulate OVA and ZOL,and enabled efficient lymph node *** by the mevalonate pathway inhibition effect of ZOL,APN-OVA-ZOL significantly promoted *** a result,APN-OVA-ZOL induced robust cellular immunity,including the activation of T and B *** a EG7-OVA tumor-bearing murine model,APN-OVA-ZOL significantly inhibited the tumor growth and prolonged mice *** work provided a strong empirical foundation indicating that zoledronate-loaded aluminum salt nanovaccines had a strong potency for cancer immunotherapy.

Objective： The critical illness of pandemic influenza A （H1N1） virus infection may be associated with relatively poor outcomes. The objective of this study is to describe clinical features and factors associated with the deaths of critical patients. Methods： Medical records of 26 critical patients with H1N1 infection admitted from Sept. 1 to Dec. 31, 2009, were retrospectively reviewed. Diagnosis was established by real-time reverse transcdptase- polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR） assay. Results： The mean age of the patients was （40.4＋18.4） years and 73.1% of them were male. Clinical manifestations included fever, cough, and sputum production. The laboratory findings included leukocytosis, lymphopenia, C-reaction protein, and lactic dehydrogenase elevation. In this series, 17 subjects survived and 9 died. The parameters between the deaths and survivors were compared, which included acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II （APACHE II） scores （23.8＋10.1 vs. 14.3_＋6.6, P〈0.05）, sequential organ failure assessment （SOFA） scores （13.3_＋3.0 vs. 6.6_＋3.3, P〈0.05）, and multiple organ dysfunction syndrome （MODS） scores （7.4＋2.5 vs. 3.3＋1.7, P〈0.05）. The cases of deaths had higher incidences of cardiovascular failure （100% vs. 41.2%, P〈0.05）, renal failure （55.6% vs. 11.7%, P〈0.05）, encephalopathy （44.4% vs. 5.9%, P〈0.05）, hepatic failure （33.3% vs. 5.9%, P〈0.05）, and septic shock （33.3% vs. 17.6%, P〈0.05）. Conclusions： The critical patients with H1 N1 infection have high APACHE II, SOFA, and MODS scores, which may be associated with an increased risk of death and complex clinical courses.

The growth of dendrites and the side reactions occurring at the Zn anode pose significant challenges to the commercialization of aqueous Zn-ion batteries（AZIBs）. These challenges arise from the inherent conflict between mass transfer and electrochemical kinetics. In this study, we propose the use of a multifunctional electrolyte additive based on the xylose（Xylo） molecule to address these issues by modulating the solvation structure and electrode/electrolyte interface, thereby stabilizing the Zn anode. The introduction of the additive alters the solvation structure, creating steric hindrance that impedes charge transfer and then reduces electrochemical kinetics. Furthermore, in-situ analyses demonstrate that the reconstructed electrode/electrolyte interface facilitates stable and rapid Zn2+ion migration and suppresses corrosion and hydrogen evolution reactions. As a result, symmetric cells incorporating the Xylo additive exhibit significantly enhanced reversibility during the Zn plating/stripping process, with an impressively long lifespan of up to 1986 h, compared to cells using pure ZnSO4electrolyte. When combined with a polyaniline cathode, the full cells demonstrate improved capacity and long-term cyclic stability. This work offers an effective direction for improving the stability of Zn anode via electrolyte design, as well as highperformance AZIBs.

To study the emission characteristics of typical construction machinery in chengdu,12 construction machinery (excavators,bulldozers,loaders,and forklifts) under idling mode,moving mode,and working mode,were tested using a portable emission measurement system(PEMS).Under three operating modes,the typical construction machinery in the working mode was higher in the fuel-based average emission factors of PM_(2.5)and NOx,while the fuel-based average emission factors of HC and CO were higher in idling *** the results of investigation on ownership and activity levels of construction machinery,an exhaust emission inventory of typical construction machinery of chengdu in 2018 was established according to the recommendation *** annual emission of PM_(2.5),NOx,HC,and CO were 1.67×106,1.61×108,3.83×106,and 1.26×107kg,respectively,and the excavator contributed the maximum emissions,accounting for an average proportion of 43.95%.The emission of construction machinery in chengdu exhibited a clear monthly trend,with the highest from April to October and the lowest from November to *** addition,the exhaust emissions presented an obvious spot-like characteristics,and the high-value areas were mainly concentrated in the surrounding suburban counties such as Shuangliu Wenjiang *** reduce pollution from construction machinery and improve the quality of the atmospheric environment,more effective measures on housing construction and municipal construction should be taken in those districts in chengdu.

BACKGROUND: Fatty liver disease (FLD) is increasingly recognized as one of the most common chronic liver diseases in china. This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and risk factors of FLD in chengdu, Southwest china, and to provide a relevant basis for the prevention and intervention of FLD. METHODS: Altogether 9094 subjects (4721 men and 4373 women) of over 18 years old who had received a medical checkup in the West china Hospital of Sichuan University between January and December 2007 were evaluated for FLD. FLD was diagnosed by ultrasonography. Body mass index (BMI), height, body weight, blood pressure, fasting plasma glucose (FPG), triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TCh), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) were measured using routine laboratory methods. RESULTS: The overall prevalence of FLD was 12.5%, which was more than 3-fold higher in males than in females 2 (18.9% vs. 5.7%, chi(2) =359.624, Pchengdu, Southwest china was lower than the published for other areas of china. FLD in chengdu adults was found to be closely associated with sex, age, BMI, and other metabolic syndrome features.
