The bifacial silicon solar cell, placed at temperature (T) and illuminated from the back side by monochromatic light in frequency modulation (ω), is studied from the frequency dynamic diffusion equation, relative to the density of excess minority carriers in the base. The expressions of the dynamic recombination velocities of the minority carriers on the rear side of the base Sb1(D(ω, T);H) and Sb2(α, D(ω, T);H), are analyzed as a function of the dynamic diffusion coefficient (D(ω, T)), the absorption coefficient (α(λ)) and the thickness of the base (H). Thus their graphic representation makes it possible to go up, to the base optimum thickness (Hopt(ω, T)), for different temperature values and frequency ranges of modulation of monochromatic light, of strong penetration. The base optimum thickness (Hopt(ω, T)) decreases with temperature, regardless of the frequency range and allows the realization of the solar cell with few material (Si).

Introduction: The involvement of the endothelial dysfunction (ED) in arterial hypotension (AHPT) post of spinal anesthesia (SA) has not been established. Objective: To determine if there is a relationship between ED and AHPT observed during the 1st 15 minutes after SA. Population and Methods: The study concerned 40 people who were to benefit from a programmed herniorrhaphy under SA and 40 controls (SA-). The correlations between mean plasma concentrations of endothelin-1 (CmET-1, pg/ml) and Vascular Cell Adhesion Molecule-1 (CmVCAM-1, pg/ml) taken from SA+ one hour before (H0), then 15 minutes after the SA (H15) and the mean arterial pression (AMP, mmHg) with heart rate (bpm) were analyzed (p Results: CmET-1 and CmVCAM-1 of SA- were 1.07 and 3.34, respectively, compared to 1.12 (p = 0.735) and 3.57 (p = 0.862) in SA+ at H0 and H15. In SA+, at H15, CmET-1 was 1.13 (p = 0.823) and CmVCAM-1 was 3.57 (p = 0.257). In SA-, a negative correlation existed between CmET-1 and CmVCAM-1 (r = -0.438;p = 0.005). Conversely, in SA+, whether at H0 (r = -0.31;p = 0.051) or at H15 (r = 0.024;p = 0.883), no correlation existed between CmET-1 and CmVCAM-1, nor between MAP and ED markers (r = 0.111;p = 0.325). Conclusion: These results show that there is no relationship between the AHPT which occurs during the first fifteen minutes post SA, CmVCAM-1 and CmET-1. Moreover, these data suggest that ED is not involved in AHPT post SA.

The diffusion coefficient of the minority charge carriers in the base of a silicon solar cell under temperature and subjected to a magnetic field, passes in reso-nance at temperature (Topt). For this same magnetic field, the diffusion coeffi-cient of the photogenerated carriers by a monochromatic light in frequency modulation enters into resonance, at the frequency (ωc). Under this double resonance in temperature and frequency, the diffusion coefficient is used in the expression of the recombination velocity of the minority charge carriers on the back side of the base of the solar cell (n+/p/p+), to obtain, by a graphical method, the optimum thickness. A modeling of the results obtained shows a material saving (Si), in the development of the solar cell.

Energy Analysis of a Counter-Flow Plate Heat Exchanger Working in Stationary Mode and Using Geothermal Energy for Drying

This paper presents an energy analysis of a counter-flow plate heat exchanger operating in stationary mode. The exchanger comprises a rectangular plate of which we vary the heat transfer surface (by fixing its width and varying its length) and analyze the evolution of some parameters as a function of this heat transfer surface. The parameters to be analyzed are the NTU (number of transfer units), the effectiveness, the temperatures of both primary and secondary fluids and the heat flux. The analysis carried out will help understand the behavior of the counter-flow plate heat exchanger operating in stationary mode. Then, the heat transfer surface of the exchanger is determined for the sizing of a counter-flow plate heat exchanger intended to produce hot air for drying. That plate heat exchanger uses water vapor heated by geothermal energy as a primary fluid and atmospheric air as a secondary fluid. The products to be dried are onions with a mass flow of water to be evacuated of 100 kg/h.

The objective of this work is to model initially,the different components of a single-bed adsorption system with intermittent cold production operating with hot water coming from either biogas(from methanation of animal organic waste),or a flat ***,in a second step,to the Simulink resolution to determine the evolutions of the desorption temperatures for the two working couples(Thmax of 180°C and 220°C),of the adsorbed fraction(6 kg/s for the zeolite water and 4 kg/s for silica gel-water),COP(coefficient of refrigeration performance)of the order of 0.34 for silica gel-water and 0.4 for *** results were compared to those found in the literature for *** should be noted that the heat transfer fluid used is water,which has a cold production range between 0℃and 10℃(cooling applications)and that modeling uses the Dormand-Price OD45 method.

It has been known since March 2013 that Artesunate is considered the gold standard treatment for severe malaria [1] [2] [3]. However, in our regions, the drug of choice available to treat patients with severe malaria remains quinine until today. However, frequent and sequential use of quinine is associated with the occurrence of hemoglobinuria [2]. We report a probable case of bilious hemoglobin fever (BHF) in an 8-year-old child. This was an 8-year-old child with a history of frequent and recent treatment with quinine, received in consultation for coca-cola urine emission with rapid diagnostic test (RDT) positive. In search of a particular terrain, the retroviral and syphilitic serologies were negative. Considering the context, the diagnosis of post-quinine hemoglobin bilious fever (BHF) was retained and the patient had progressed well after administration of artemisinin and its derivatives. The child was followed, on an outpatient basis, without any sequelae. It would therefore be prudent for the time being to avoid them in prophylaxis and self-medication.

In this study, the effect of extraction processes on the physicochemical characteristics and antioxidant potential of baobab (Adansonia digitata L.) seed oil was evaluated. The oils were extracted, on the one hand, by cold pressing, and on the other hand, with three types of organic solvents (acetone, chloroform, n-hexane). The recorded results indicated that the extraction yield of baobab oil was significantly impacted by both the extraction method and the polarity of the solvent used. In addition, chloroform provides the best extraction yield (40.12 ± 0.607). However, extraction by cold pressure preserves at best the physicochemical and bioactive properties of the extracted oils. Indeed, the pressing oil contains a content of phenolic compounds (0.047 ± 0.0024 mgEAG/g of oil) and a very high radical scavenging activity (DPPH) (31.71% ± 0.61%). For the various oils extracted, the minimum and maximum values were 0.50 and 3.17 mEq?kg-1;56.26 and 99.113 mgI2?100 g-1;1.457 and 1.465;205.37 and 233.587 mgKOH/g respectively for the peroxide, iodine, refractive and saponification values. The color parameters (L*, a* and b*) of the oils also differ depending on the nature of the organic solvent used. Principal component analysis (PCA) and correlation analysis were performed on the physicochemical properties and the antioxidant potential of the extracted oils. Therefore, the results suggest the mixed use of acetone and hexane to obtain oil comparable to that extracted by cold pressing.

Absorption chillers are cooling units usually powered by renewable energy or waste *** performance generally depends on the temperatures of the heat source,the ambient and the medium to be *** present work deals with the thermodynamic study of a 10 kW NH3/H2O absorption machine in order to find the COP(coefficient of performance).The first and second laws of thermodynamics were used for the operating *** thermodynamic properties of the NH3/H2O mixture were determined using the EES(Engineering Equation Solver)*** results of the simulation of the machine were validated with the results of the *** validation,the program was used to simulate a 10-kW NH3/H2O absorption machine for milk conservation/cold storage in northern *** simulation results of the 10-kW ammonia-water absorption machine give an acceptable COP of 0.521 with a milk storage temperature of 4°C.

This paper reports a series of studies on the lubricant properties,elastohydrodynamic film thickness,and coefficients of friction of several commercially available ester base stocks,i.e.,diisooctyl phthalate(diop),diisodecyl phthalate(DIDP),diisotridecyl phthalate(DITDP),diisooctyl sebacate(DOS),diisotridecyl sebacate(DTDS),trihydroxymethylpropyl trioleate(TMPTO),and pentaerythritol tetraoleate(PETO).The results include densities and viscosities from 303 to 398 K,and elastohydrodynamic lubricant film thicknesses and friction in the boundary,mixed and full-film lubrication regimes measured at several temperatures,loads,and *** ester base stocks have different lubrication abilities owing to their chain lengths,geometric configurations,and molecular *** study provides quantitative insight into the use of ester-based lubricants for low friction through the entire lubrication regime(boundary to full film)by utilization of suitable type and size of the ester base stocks.
