The parallel coordinate plot is proposed as an efficient tool for visualization of 13 traits of ＂stay-green＂ maize（Zea mays L.） cultivar exposed to different methods of magnesium application. The field experiment was conducted in the Department of Agronomy, Poznań University of Life Sciences, on the fields of the Department of Teaching and Experimental Station in Swadzim in 2006–2008. Experiment was conducted as a single-factor experiment with seven applications of magnesium in a randomized complete block design with four replicates. The highest mean values of grain yield and 1 000-grain weight were obtained after application of variant T3 of magnesium（10 kg MgO ha^–1 soil） in the all three years of study.

On a New Hybrid Estimator for the Central Mean Space

Existing estimators of the central mean space are known to have uneven performances across different types of link functions. By combining the strength of the ordinary least squares and the principal Hessian directions, the authors propose a new hybrid estimator that successfully recovers the central mean space for a wide range of link functions. Based on the new hybrid estimator, the authors further study the order determination procedure and the marginal coordinate test. The superior performance of the hybrid estimator over existing methods is demonstrated in extensive simulation studies.

Field experiments （2009-2011） were conducted at the Department of Agronomy at Poznar~ University of Life Sciences on the fields of the Research Institute in Swadzim. We evaluated the health of maize plants of two types, depending on the variations in mineral fertilization. The conducted research recorded the occurrence of pests such as oscinella frit （Oscinella frit L.） and the European corn borer （Pyrausta nubilalis Hbn.）. Diseases recorded during the research included two patho- genes： Fusarium （Fusarium ssp.） and corn smut （Ustilago maydis Corda）. It was shown that the meteorological conditions during the maize vegetation had a significant influence on the occurrence of pests. Adding potassium to mineral fertilizers increased the maize resistance to Fusarium. Cultivation of ＂stay-green＂ cultivar shall be considered as an element of in- tegrated maize protection. The occurrence of oscineUa flit was correlated with the occurrence of Fusarium as well as the occurrence of the European corn borer for both examined cultivars.

This paper is concerned about studying modeling-based methods in cluster analysis to classify data elements into clusters and thus dealing with time series in view of this classification to choose the appropriate mixed model. The mixture-model cluster analysis technique under different covariance structures of the component densities is presented. This model is used to capture the compactness, orientation, shape, and the volume of component clusters in one expert system to handle Gaussian high dimensional heterogeneous data set. To achieve flexibility in currently practiced cluster analysis techniques. The Expectation-Maximization (EM) algorithm is considered to estimate the parameter of the covariance matrix. To judge the goodness of the models, some criteria are used. These criteria are for the covariance matrix produced by the simulation. These models have not been tackled in previous studies. The results showed the superiority criterion ICOMP PEU to other criteria. This is in addition to the success of the model based on Gaussian clusters in the prediction by using covariance matrices used in this study. The study also found the possibility of determining the optimal number of clusters by choosing the number of clusters corresponding to lower values for the different criteria used in the study.

We study quintessence cosmology with an effective A-term in Lyra manifold. We consider three different models by choosing variable A depending on time, the Hubble parameter and the energy density of dark matter and dark energy. Dark energy is assumed as quintessence which interacts with the dark matter. Using numerical analysis we investigate the behavior of cosmological parameters in three different models and compare our results with observational data. State-finder diagnostic is also performed for all models.

This paper provides a concise description of the philosophy, mathematics, and algorithms for estimating, detecting, and attributing climate changes. The estimation follows the spectral method by using empirical orthogonal functions, also called the method of reduced space optimal averaging. The detection follows the linear regression method, which can be found in most textbooks about multivariate statistical techniques. The detection algorithms are described by using the space-time approach to avoid the non-stationarity problem. The paper includes （1） the optimal averaging method for minimizing the uncertainties of the global change estimate, （2） the weighted least square detection of both single and multiple signals, （3） numerical examples, and （4） the limitations of the linear optimal averaging and detection methods.

In the paper presented, 99 single seed descent barley lines as well as their parental forms Roland and Apex were studied. The grain weight components and their interrelations were analyzed using simple coefficients of correlation. The direct and indirect effects of such components on grain weight per plant and 1 000-grain weight were estimated using path analysis. In the 2006 and 2007, the spike length and number of spikelets per spike were the determinants of grain weight. Genetic parameters as additive and epistasis effects were estimated for all studied traits. The results indicate the importance of both additive and epistasis gene effects of number of spikes per plant, grain weight per spike, grain number per plant and grain weight per plant in this study.

Probiotic Medilac-S^(█) for the induction of clinical remission in a Chinese population with ulcerative colitis: A systematic review and meta-analysis

AIM To assess the effects of probiotic Medilac-S~ as adjunctive therapy for the induction of remission of ulcerative colitis(UC) in a Chinese population through a systematic review and meta-analysis. methods A systematic literature search was conducted to find randomized, controlled trials in a Chinese population with at least two study arms-a control arm which receives a conventional, oral aminosalicylate drug, and a treatment arm, which administers the same conventional drug in conjunction with the probiotic Medilac-S~ per os. Both English and Chinese databases were searched, including Pub Med, EMBASE, Google Scholar, Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure, Wanfang Data, and VIP Search, and study data was extracted onto standardized abstraction sheets. Meta-analyses were conducted for primary and secondary outcomes of interest using a fixed or random effects model. The primary outcome was the induction of clinical remission and the secondary outcomes included changes in Sutherland index, endoscopic and histological scores, proportion of reported clinical symptoms and adverse events(AEs). For outcomes with sufficient data, the type of conventional drug therapy was also assessed to determine if the effects of combination therapy with Medilac-S~ was influenced by drug type. All tests were conducted using a type Ⅰ error rate of 0.05 and all confidence intervals(CI) were based on a 95% confidence level. Review protocol was uploaded to PROSPERO(CRD42018085658 upon completion).RESULTS Fifty-three clinical trials with a total of 3984 participants were identified and included in the review. Medilac-S~ adjunctive therapy significantly improved induction of clinical remission(RR = 1.21; 95%CI: 1.18-1.24; P < 0.0001) with the estimated likelihood of effective treatment, on average, 21% higher for those consuming the probiotic.
