Perovskite lead zirconate(PbZrOz)was synthesized in an orthorhombic form at a temperature below the Curie temperature,*** orthorhombic form is a noncentrosymmetric structure which is capable of spontaneous *** transform infrared(FTIR)spectra and X-ray diffraction(XRD)patterns confirm the siuccessful synthesis of the lead zirconate;and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)micrographs indicate that PbZrO_(3) particles are moderately dispersed in the natural rubber(NR)*** an electrical field,the particles merely act as a ferroelectric fller,which can absorb and store additional *** an electrical field,particle induced dipole motents are generated,leading to interparticle interaction and a sub-stantial increase in the storage *** a small amount of lead ziroonate part iculates present in the natural rubber matrix,at a volume fraction of 0.007306,the electrical conductivity increases dramatically by nearly two orders of magnitude at the electrical frequency of 500 kHz.

In South Florida there are several social and logistical challenges to surveying and advocating for mobile home residents regarding vulnerability to natural hazards such as sea level rise and *** residents have consequently been understudied despite historically exhibiting higher vulnerability and lower *** exploratory study uses a social-ecological framework to highlight individual-,community-,and institutional-level challenges and research gaps encountered when working with mobile home *** observations represent a longer-term opportunity to further refine our understanding of natural hazard vulnerability,build increased resilience among vulnerable populations,and improve health equity in South Florida and beyond.

Steering performance of an inverted pendulum vehicle with pedals as a personal mobility vehicle

From the viewpoints of environmental protection, support for the aged and ensuring the right to mobility, there is a need to develop a new type of mobility vehicle that provides more effective transportation. The authors propose an inverted pendulum vehicle with pedals as one of the forms of personal mobility vehicles （PMVs）. In this paper, the steering performance of the inverted pendulum vehicle with pedals is discussed based on experiments on a prototype. From the experimental results, it was confirmed that the errors from the five subjects for the target trajectory and the five-grade evaluation of the maneuverability were similar. Finally, we created an inverted pendulum vehicle with pedals to which was added a reaction actuator for the steering system. From the experimental results, it was found that setting appropriate feedback gains for the handle steering angle and its rate of rotation, which control the right and left wheel driving torques, resulted in greatly improved maneuverability. Since 2008, G20 leaders have repeatedly committed themselves not to resort to protectionism and to conclude WTO negotiations expeditiously. The jury is out on the extent to which they have lived up to the first promise,＂ they have failed to deliver the second. Anemic global trade growth rates since 2010 imply that trade has not been a driver of much-needed economic dynamism. This paper argues that the G20 should pursue a more ambitious trade agenda and that there is much that greater leadership by the G20 could do to reinvigorate the trading system. A first step would be to commit to concrete actions that can be implemented by individual governments on a concerted basis and that center on reducing trade costs and improving access to services for firms. The Chinese presidency should also seek to have the G20 commit to more effective monitoring and analysis of trade policy broadly defined （including subsidies and investment incentives） and the impact of the many preferential trade agreements involving China, the EU and the USA, the world＇s largest trading powers.

Quasi-variable Discount Rates and Market Volatility: An Empirical Study

This paper proposes an assumption of quasi-variable discount rates to explain the excess volatility puzzle of stock market. Under the assumption, the ARMAX model is derived based on the CCAPM model and CRRA utility function to describe the linear relationship between the discount rate and the consumption growth rate. We conducted empirical research on this model using historical data of the US stock market. The results confirm a significantly negative relationship between consumption growth rate and discount rate. Subsequently, the results of Monte Carlo simulation show that given the risk preference coefficient and dividend sequence, the rational expectations price fluctuation obtained under the assumption of quasivariable discount rate is the largest.

The problem of designing passive fault-tolerant flight controller is addressed when the normal and faulty cases are prescribed. First of all, the considered fault and fault-free cases are formed by polytopes. As considering that the safety of a post-fault system is directly related to the maximum values of physical variables in the system, peak-to-peak gain is selected to represent the relationships among the amplitudes of actuator outputs, system outputs, and reference commands. Based on the parameter dependent Lyapunov and slack methods, the passive fault-tolerant flight controllers in the absence/presence of system uncertainty for actuator failure cases are designed, respectively. Case studies of an airplane under actuator failures are carried out to validate the effectiveness of the proposed approach

The purpose of emergency medical systems(EMS)is to save lives and reduce injuries with a quick response in *** performance of these systems is highly dependent on the locations of ambulances and the policy for dispatching them to the customers(i.e.,patients).In this study,two new mathematical models are presented to combine the decisions about the location and dispatching policy by integrating the location and hypercube queuing *** the presented models,the flow-balance equations of the hypercube queuing model are considered as the constraints of the location *** the first model,the status of each server is idle or busy at any moment,as in the classic hypercube queuing *** the second model,the travel time is considered independent of the on-scene time,and the status of each server is idle,busy,and traveling,or busy and serving a customer on the incident *** verify the models,some small-sized examples are first solved ***,an optimization framework based on the genetic algorithm is presented due to the complexity of the models for solving larger-sized *** approaches(i.e.,the exact and simulation-optimization)are used to extend the *** results demonstrate that the proposed optimization framework can obtain proper solutions compared to those of the exact ***,several performance measures are considered that can only be calculated using the second model.

The study aimed at evaluating the impact of integrated watershed management on reducing soil erosion and changes in the livelihoods of rural farming households in *** changes in soil erosion for the years between 2002 and 2015 were estimated using the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation model,while the impacts on livelihoods were assessed by household *** the study period,the overall average annual soil loss was ***,crop productivity,water availability(irrigation and domestic)and fodder availability increased by 22,33 and 10%,respectively,while an increase in household income(by 56%)was ***,72%of the sampled households were able to cover their 12-month annual expenditure demands in 2015,while only 50%of the households were able to cover these demands in *** can be concluded that the implemented integrated watershed man-agement activities seemingly resulted in reduced soil loss,enhanced vegetation cover,and additional household *** paper also elaborates on the hurdles for integrated watershed management expansion.
