This study endeavors to investigate the effects of Bifidobacterium breve CCFM1078 on bone formation and resorption balance in growing BALB/c *** BALB/c mice were assigned to the control group(administration saline)and the CCFM1078 group(administration *** CCFM1078,3×10^(9) CFU/day)in 3-,4-,and 5-week *** the groups have male and female *** findings demonstrate that *** CCFM1078 exerts on the dynamic equilibrium between bone formation and resorption during the critical period of growth in mice by modulating the composition of gut microbiota and metabolites(hexadecanamide,linoleoyl ethanolamide,and palmitoyl ethanolamide),the genes and proteins expression related to the growth hormone(GH)/insulin-like growth factors-1(IGF-1)axis and Gs/PKA/CREB signaling pathways,as well as downstream osteogenic and osteoclastic differentiation *** effects of *** CCFM1078 were different with age and gender *** finding suggests *** CCFM1078 may have potential applications in regulating bone metabolism in the growth period population.

Industrial Untapped Rotational Kinetic Energy Assessment for Sustainable Energy Recycling

Electrical energy can be harvested from the rotational kinetic energy of moving bodies,consisting of both mechanical and kinetic energy as a potential power source through electromagnetic induction,similar to wind energy *** industries,rotational bodies are commonly present in operations,yet this kinetic energy remains *** research explores the energy generation characteristics of two rotational body types,disk-shaped and cylinder-shaped under specific experimental *** hardware setup included a direct current(DC)motor driver,power supply,DC generator,mechanical support,and load resistance,while the software setup involved automation testing tools and data *** induction was used to harvest energy,and experiments were conducted at room temperature(25℃)with controlled variables like speed and *** showed the disk-shaped body exhibited higher energy efficiency than the cylinder-shaped body,largely due to lower mechanical *** disk required only two bearings,while the cylinder required four,resulting in lower bearing losses for the ***,the disk experienced only air friction,whereas the cylinder encountered friction from a soft,uneven rubber material,increasing surface contact *** a 40 W resistive load,the disk demonstrated a 17.1%energy loss due to mechanical friction,achieving up to 15.55 J of recycled ***,the cylinder body experienced a 48.05%energy loss,delivering only 51.95%of energy to the *** insights suggest significant potential for designing efficient energy recycling systems in industrial settings,particularly in manufacturing and processing industries where rotational machinery is *** its lower energy density,this system could be beneficially integrated with energy storage solutions,enhancing sustainability in industrial practices.

Reversible Li2C2O4 product regulation in Li–CO2 batteries using single-atom alloy engineering

The efficiency of lithium-carbon dioxide （Li–CO2） batteries is limited by the sluggish generation/decomposition kinetics of the discharge products （i.e.,Li2CO3and carbon） despite the use of state-of-the-art noble metal （NM） ***2C2O4has emerged as a promising alternative product;however,the thermodynamic instability of Li2C2O4causes it to generally appear as an intermediate in Li2CO3pathways rather than a product during ***,using comprehensive first-principles calculations,we report tailoring the discharge products of Li–CO2batteries to Li2C2O4via single-atom alloy （SAA） engineering,in which NM-doped copper SAAs （NM1Cu） are constructed for *** NM1Cu catalysts display a free-atom-like narrow d-band state and unique charge distribution over the solute NM1atom and the surrounding matrix Cu *** an optimized electronic structure is substantial in Ru1Cu and Ir1Cu,which is conducive to the co-activation and coupling of *** lithiation of*CO2intermediate that breaks the charge symmetry of the central C species can further reduce the kinetic barriers of the C–C *** advantages promote Li2C2O4generation on Ru1Cu and Ir1Cu while suppress its subsequent ***,they exhibit low theoretical overpotentials and enable facile delithiation under normal charging *** work proposes a universal principle of manipulating electronic structures to achieve Li2C2O4product,which provides practical guidance for the development of Li–CO2batteries.

In this study,to better decide the effect of coal seam dip angle upon the dynamic change of the crossfusion in gas transport and storage areas during the progress of working face in the high gas thick coal seam,a two-dimensional physical simulation experiment regarded as the theoretical research was conducted to properly explore the variation law of overburden *** results demonstrated that the boundary of the gas transport zone was located in the region of fracture *** boundary of the gas storage area was located in the abrupt penetration ***,according to the information theory,the state of the gas transport and storage areas was determined by the changing trend of the fracture rate and fracture *** mathematical representation model of the dip effect in gas transport and storage areas was *** criteria upon which the regional location of the gas transport area and gas storage area can be based were put *** cross-fusion evolution process of the dip effect in gas transport and storage areas was revealed as *** research results could provide guidance for realising directional and accurate gas extraction.

Intraluminal migration of a surgical drain near an anastomosis site after total gastrectomy:A case report

BACKGROUND Esophagojejunal anastomotic leakage(EJAL)is a severe complication following gastrectomy for gastric cancer,typically treated with drainage and nutritional *** report a case of intraluminal drain migration near the esophagojejunal anastomosis(EJA),resulting in persistent drainage and mimicking EJAL after total *** SUMMARY A 64-year-old male underwent open total gastrectomy with Roux-en-Y reconstruction for gastric adenocarcinoma,with two silicone drains placed near the *** postoperative day(POD)4,the patient developed signs of peritonitis and sepsis,necessitating surgical re-exploration abscess drainage,peritoneal lavage,and drain repositioning.A contrast swallow study on POD 18 revealed rapid filling of the abdominal drain without extraluminal contrast *** drainage prompted an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy on POD 59,which revealed approximately 5 cm of the drain within the esophagus,with the perforation site located 2 cm distal to the intact *** drain was repositioned under endoscopic guidance.A repeat contrast radiograph on POD 67 demonstrated no evidence of extraluminal contrast extravasation or filling of the abdominal *** patient was subsequently discharged without further *** Intraluminal drain migration is a rare complication following gastric surgery but should be considered when persistent drainage occurs.

The preparation of carbon-based electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbers possessing thin matching thickness,wide absorption bandwidth,strong absorption intensity,and low filling ratio remains a huge ***-organic frameworks(MOFs)are ideal self-sacrificing templates for the construction of carbon-based EMW *** this work,bimetallic FeMn-MOF-derived MnFe_(2)O_(4)/C/graphene composites were fabricated via a two-step route of solvothermal reaction and the following pyrolysis *** results re-veal the evolution of the microscopic morphology of carbon skeletons from loofah-like to octahedral and then to polyhedron and pomegran-ate after the adjustment of the Fe^(3+)to Mn^(2+)molar ***,at the Fe^(3+)to Mn^(2+)molar ratio of 2:1,the obtained MnFe_(2)O_(4)/C/graphene composite exhibited the highest EMW absorption ***,a minimum reflection loss of-72.7 dB and a max-imum effective absorption bandwidth of 5.1 GHz were achieved at a low filling ratio of 10wt%.In addition,the possible EMW absorp-tion mechanism of MnFe_(2)O_(4)/C/graphene composites was ***,the results of this work will contribute to the construction of broadband and efficient carbon-based EMW absorbers derived from MOFs.

Evaluating the impact of virtual reality on reducing restrictive practices in psychiatric wards

This manuscript critically evaluates the randomized controlled trial(RCT)conducted by Phiri et al,which assessed the effectiveness of virtual reality(VR)training for psychiatric staff in reducing restrictive practices(RPs).Specifically,this RCT investigated the impact of VR on the handling of aggressive patients by psychiatric staff compared to traditional training *** significant reductions in perceived discrimination in the VR group,there were no major improvements in self-efficacy or anxiety *** system usability scale rated the VR platform highly,but it did not consistently outperform traditional training ***,the study shows the potential for VR to reduce RPs,although fluctuations in RP rates suggest that external factors,such as staff turnover,influenced the *** manuscript evaluates the study’s methodology,results,and broader implications for mental health ***,it highlights the need for more comprehensive research to establish VR as a standard tool for psychiatric staff education,focusing on patient care outcomes and real-world ***,this study explores future research di-rections,technological improvements,and the potential impact of policies that could enhance the integration of VR in clinical training.

Water Quality,Influential Factors,and Management Strategies from 2016 to 2020 in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,China

The Yangtze River economic belt(YREB),China is important to the Chinese economy and for supporting sustainable *** the relationship between water quality indices and socioeconomic indicators could help improve aquatic environment management in the YREB and our understanding of the causes and effects of water quality variations in other large river *** this study,river water quality,factors affecting water quality,and management strategies,and correlations between water quality indices and socioeconomic indicators in the YREB during the 13th Five-Year Plan period(2016-2020)were *** single-factor evaluation method,constant price for GDP,and correlation analyses were *** results showed that:1)water quality in the YREB improved during the 13th Five-Year Plan *** number of aquatic environment sections meeting GradeⅠ-Ⅲwater quality standards increased by 13.1%and the number below Grade V decreased by 2.9%.2)The values of 12 indicators in the YREB exceeded relevant *** indicators with highest concentreation were the total phosphorus,chemical oxygen demand,ammonia nitrogen,and permanganate index,which were relatively high in downstream regions in Anhui Province,Jiangsu Province,and Shanghai Municipality.3)Ammonia nitrogen,chemical oxygen demand,and total phosphorus emissions per unit area and water extraction per unit area are relatively high in the three downstream regions mentioned above.4)Increased domestic sewage discharges have increased total wastewater discharges in the YREB.5)River water quality in the YREB strongly correlated with population,economic,and water resource indices and less strongly correlated with government investment,agriculture,meteorology,energy,and forestry *** confirmed the need to decrease wastewater discharges and non-point-source pollutant *** aquatic environment could be improved by taking reasonable measures to control population growth,adjusting the industrial str
