Introduction:China faces a growing burden of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Previous mortality estimations were primarily based on the underlying cause of *** study analyzed COPD-associated death and its comorbidities using all COPD cases listed on the chain of events on death ***:A retrospective analysis of the National Mortality Surveillance System(NMSS)was conducted to estimate COPD-associated mortality from 2014 to ***-standardized mortality rates(ASMRs)were calculated stratified by sex,region,and *** regression was used to estimate the average annual percentage change(AAPC)during the study ***:From 2014 to 2021,the ASMR of COPD decreased from 91.85 to 45.90 per 100,000 *** but uneven decreases in COPD mortality were observed across gender[females:AAPC:−11.2%,95%confidence interval(CI):−11.9 to−10.4%;males:AAPC:−8.0%,95%CI:−9.2 to−6.8%],regions(eastern:AAPC:−10.7%,95%CI:−11.5 to−9.9%;central:AAPC:−9.9%,95%CI:−10.9 to−8.9%;western:AAPC:−7.7%,95%CI:−10.6 to−4.7%),and residential areas(urban:AAPC:−10.9%,95%CI:−12.3 to−9.5%;rural:AAPC:−8.3%,95%CI:−9.1 to−7.4%).Other than COPD,cardiovascular diseases and respiratory conditions were the major underlying causes of death in COPDassociated ***:COPD is a significant comorbidity of other disorders in *** COPDassociated mortality substantially decreased from 2014 to 2021,the burden remained high in underdeveloped regions.

This study aimed to determine the prevalence and clinical features of Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy(ARVC)caused by pathogenic mutations in the Phospholamban(PLN)*** study included 170 patients who had a confrmed diagnosis of ARVC and underwent PLN genetic screening using next-generation *** fndings of this study provide valuable insights into the association between PLN mutations and ARVC,which can aid in the development of more efective diagnostic and treatment strategies for ARVC *** of the patients evaluated,six had a rare pathogenic mutation in PLN with the same p.R14del *** screening revealed that heterozygous carriers of p.R14del exhibited a defnite ARVC *** clinical studies,individuals with the p.R14del mutation experienced a similar rate of malignant arrhythmia events as those with classic desmosome *** adjusting for covariates,individuals with PLN mutations had a two point one seven times greater likelihood of experiencing transplant-related risks compared to those who did not possess PLN mutations(95%CI 1.08–6.82,p=0.035).The accumulation of left ventricular fat and fbers is a pathological marker for ARVC patients with p.R14del *** a cohort of 170 Chinese ARVC patients,three point fve percent of probands had the PLN pathogenic variant(p.R14del)and all were *** data shows that PLN-related ARVC patients are at high risk for ventricular arrhythmias and heart failure,which requires clinical diferentiation from classic ***,carrying the p.R14del mutation can be an independent prognostic risk factor in ARVC patients.
