Objective:To investigate the activity of Egyptian propolis extracts(ethanol and water)on cryptosporidiosis in experimentally infected dexamethasone-immunosuppressed ***:A total of 180 male rats(190-220)g BWt were randomly divided into 9 equal groups(G1-G9).Groups of rats were kept as(G1):normal control,(G2-G9):immunosuppressed with dexamethasone and(G3-G9):infected with Cryptosporidium *** from(G4to G9)were given orally ethanol and water extract of propolis(at a dose of 50 mg/kg BWt)and nitazoxanide(standard anti-cryptosporidial drug at a dose of 100 mg/kg BWt)to infected rats with different *** pellets were collected from all groups to monitor oocysts shedding from the 2nd to the 15th day post *** the end of the experiment,blood was collected from all groups for determination of leukogram and serum *** specimens were also examined ***:The highest reduction of oocysts shedding in faecal samples was 88%in rats prophylactically treated with propolis ethanol extract at the 4th dpi,and in rats prophylactically treated with water extract of propolis,was91%at the 6th *** was a marked increase in neutrophils count and α_2-andβ-globulins levels in infected rats treated with both extracts,while a significant decrease was detected in lymphocytes compared to the infected non treated group.β-globulin level markedly increased in the rats administered *** changes were observed in the ileum of rats infected with ***:Egyptian propolis extracts have an activity on cryptosporidiosis in ***,propolis modulated the immunity in dexamethasone-immunosuppressed rats.

Objective: To evaluate the effects of reduced glutathione on the quality of cryopreserved Boer buck spermatozoa. Methods: The current study was carried out on five Boer bucks from which semen samples were collected by artificial vagina. After microscopical evaluation at 37 ℃, semen samples that fulfill the ideal requirements for extension were diluted in a tris–based extender including different concentrations of reduced glutathione (2, 5, 7 and 10 mM) and those without glutathione served as a control. Sperm motility, viability, acrosome integrity, DNA integrity, total antioxidant capacity and lipid peroxidation were assessed post-thawing. Results: The current results revealed that post-thawing motility, viability and acrosomal integrity were significantly improved [(66.67±5.50)%, 168.30±18.59 and (12.75±2.45)%, respectively] when 5 mM glutathione was added to semen extender;especially as compared with the control ((40.00 ±2.88)%, 95.00±8.90 and (25.75±3.46)%, respectively)Similarly, at this concentration (5 mM) sperm DNA damage, tail length and tail moment of cryopreserved semen were significantly (P<0.05) reduced [(2.32±0.27)%, (1.64±0.49) μm and 3.55±0.63, respectively] compared with the control extender ((6.66±0.84)%, (4.09±0.47) μm and 26.47±0.51, respectively)Moreover, addition of 5 mM glutathione to buck semen extender significantly (P<0.05) increased total antioxidant capacity [0.51±0.07) mμ/mL] and decreased lipid peroxidation of cryopreserved spermatozoa [(8.68±2.72) nmol/mL] compared with the control ((0.18±0.02) mμ/mL and (24.92±5.80) nmol/mL, respectively)Conclusions: The addition of 5 mM glutathione to semen diluent improve freezability of Boer buck spermatozoa through DNA protection from deterioration and oxidative stress reduction. Moreover, 10 mM of glutathione exerts cytotoxic effects on Boer buck semen.

The use of MgSO4·7H2O （Epsomite） as a potential thermochemical based thermal energy storage material has attracted considerable attention in recent decades. This material has a high theoretical energy density with abundant availability and low costs. Despite considerable efforts， little progress has been made in achieving the high energy density， largely due to insufficient understanding of the reaction mechanisms and unfavourable dehydration/hydration kinetics. A systematic study on the hydration/dehydration kinetics and cyclability of MgSO4·7H2O has therefore been conducted in this study. The results show conclusively that the dehydration process depends on the heating rate with the 5 ℃/min being the optimal， leading to seven steps of MgSO4·7H2O dehydration with the dehydration heat very close to the theoretical value. The reaction kinetic studies show that the rate of hydration is ～50% lower than that of dehydration. The thermal cycling tests of MgSO4·7H2O under the conditions of this study （small sample size） suggest a good cyclability， with the hydration rate increasing with increasing cycling number up to ～10 cycles where level-off occurs. This is consistent with scanning electron microscopic analyses， which shows the formation of cracks and channels on the salt hydrate particles， facilitating mass transfer and the enhanced kinetics.

This paper studies a robust fault compensation and vibration suppression problem of flexible hypersonic *** controlled plant is represented by a cascade system composed of a nonlinear Ordinary Differential Equation(ODE)and an Euler-Bernoulli Beam Equation(EBBE),in which the vibration dynamics is coupled with the rigid dynamics and suffers from distributed faults.A state differential transformation is introduced to transfer distributed faults to an EBBE boundary and a longitudinal dynamics is refined by utilizing T-S fuzzy IF-THEN rules.A novel T-S fuzzy based fault-tolerant control algorithm is developed and related stability conditions are *** robust exponential stability and well-posedness are proved by using the modified l_(0)-semigroup based Lyapunov direct approach.A simulation study on the longitudinal dynamics of flexible hypersonic vehicles effectively verifies the validity of the developed theoretical results.

Fast optical modulation of nanoplasmonics is fundamental for on-chip integration of all-optical *** various strategies have been proposed for dynamic modulation of surface plasmons, critical issues of device compatibility and extremely low efficiency in the visible spectrum hamper the application of optoplasmonic nanochips. Here we establish an optoplasmonic system based on Au@Cu2–xS hybrid core–shell nanoparticles. The optical excitation of hot electrons and their charge transfer to the semiconductor coating(Cu2–xS) lead to lowered electron density of Au, which results in the red shift of the localized surface plasmon resonance. The hot electrons can also transport through the Cu2–xS layer to the metal substrate, which increases the conductance of the nanogap. As such, the coupled gap plasmon blue-shifts with a magnitude of up to ～15 nm, depending on the excitation power and the thickness of the coatings, which agrees with numerical simulations. All of this optoelectronic tuning process is highly reversible, controllable and fast with a modulated laser beam, which is highly compatible and sufficiently useful for on-chip integration of nanophotonic devices.
