AIM:To investigate a possible genetic influence of claudin(CLDN)1,CLDN2 and CLDN4 in the etiology of inflammatory bowel ***:Allelic association between genetic regions of CLDN1,CLDN2 or CLDN4 and patients with inflammatory bowel disease,Crohn's disease(CD)or ulcerative colitis were investigated using both a casecontrol study approach(one case randomly selected from each of 191 Swedish inflammatory bowel disease families and 333 controls)and a family-based study(463 non-Swedish European inflammatory bowel disease-families).A nonsynonymous coding single nucleotide polymorphism in MORC4,located on the same linkage block as CLDN2,was investigated for association,as were two novel CLDN2 single nucleotide polymorphism markers,identified by ***:A single nucleotide polymorphism marker(rs12014762)located in the genetic region of CLDN2 was significantly associated to CD(case-control allelic OR = 1.98,95%CI:1.17-3.35,P = 0.007).MORC4 was present on the same linkage block as this CD *** the case-control approach,a significant association(case control allelic OR = 1.61,95%CI:1.08-2.41,P = 0.018)was found between CD and a nonsynonymous coding single nucleotide polymorphism(rs6622126)in *** association between the CLDN2 marker and CD was not replicated in the familybased *** colitis was not associated to any of the single nucleotide polymorphism ***:These findings suggest that a variant of the CLDN2-MORC4 region predisposes to CD in a Swedish population.

The GRAAL experimental set-up consists of a polarized and tagged photon beam that covers an energy range from a minimum of 600 MeV up to a maximum of 1500 MeV, of a liquid Hydrogen or Deuterium target and of the 4π Lagrange detector optimized for photon detection. It allows the study of pseudo-scalar and vector meson photoproduCtion on the nucleon in the energy range corresponding to the second and the third resonance regions. In the following, the ∑ beam asymmetries in η and π0 photoproduction on quasi-free nucleon are shown. Also single and double polarization observables in K＋A photoproduction on free proton are shown; they are important to confirm the role of new or poorly known resonances in the 1900 MeV mass region.

美国血管外科学会（SVS）任命了一个专家委员会制定颈动脉狭窄处理的循证临床指南。在制定临床实践推荐意见过程中，该委员会使用系统评价对当前最件的证据进行了总结，采用GRADE标准对推荐意见的强度（强烈推荐为GRADEI级，一般推荐为GRADEⅡ级）和证据的质量（高、中、低和极低）进行了分级。对于轻度颈动脉狭窄患者（有症状患者狭窄程度〈50％和无症状患者狭窄程度〈60％），推荐进行最佳的内科治疗而非血管重建术（I级推荐，高质量证据）。对于有症状中到重度狭窄患者（狭窄程度≥50％），推荐行颈动脉内膜切除术（CEA）＋最佳的内科治疗（I级推荐，高质量证据）。对于围手术期风险高的有症状巾到重度狭窄患者（狭窄程度≥50％），建议采用颈动脉支架置入术作为其替代治疗手段（Ⅱ级推荐，低质量证据）。对于中到重度狭窄的无症状患者（狭窄程度≥60％），只要围手术期风险较低，就推荐行CEA＋内科治疗（I级推荐，高质量证据）。对于中到重度狭窄的尢症状患者（狭窄稗度≥60％），不推荐行颈动脉支架置入术（I级推荐，低质量证据）。颈动脉狭窄≥80％但存在CEA高危解剖学风险的患者可能是一个例外。

This paper describes our findings regarding the accumulation of motile bacteria at the rear of a confined obstacle and the physical description of the mechanisms at play. We found that the modification of flow due to the presence of the obstacle produces vorticity that favor the diffusion of bacteria towards the downstream stagnation point. By testing different flow rates, we determined the range in which bacteria accumulate. More interestingly, we observe that hydrodynamic interaction between the bacteria and the top and bottom surface of the microfluidic chip maintain the bacteria in the region where the flow velocity is lower than their own velocity. In the case of non-motile bacteria, this effect is not observed because bacteria follow the streamlines as passive tracers do.

We report a case of a primary uterine choriocarcinoma associated with adenocarcinoma occurring during peri- menopausal age, and review the literature. The clinical course and the histopathology of the case were reviewed and a Medline literature search for other cases was performed. β HCG and analysis of uterine curettage provided the diagnosis of choriocarcinoma. Polychemotherapy, started immediately after the patient’ s clinical condition deteriorated, was successful. Colpohysterectomy and pelvic lymphadenectomy were performed 5 months later. Treatment was completed by vaginal curietherapy. Histhopathologic examination of the surgical specimen revealed only adenocarcinoma. The patient was followed for 18 months without evidence of recurrence. The literature search revealed that primary forms are exceptional; the etiology is unknown. Treatment is based on polychemotherapy. Primary choriocarcinomas are rare tumours, associated with other histopathological forms. We document a case occurring during the peri- menopausal period and review the literature on this pathology. The very poor prognosis in the past has changed with early polychemotherapy.

新生儿疼痛:认识程度与实际情况间的差异

A newborn hospitalized in neonatology suffers a lot of painful and fully perceived procedures. However this pain is not enough taken into consideration. There are various reasons for this failure. The objective of our study was to analyze the perception of 3 groups of participants (parents, nurses and doctors) about newborns’ pain. We wanted to compare these perceptions with pain scales (EDIN and BBdol scale) and to study their connection with newborn illness severity and mortality risk scores (SNAP and CRIB). Population and method. -We have led a prospective study involving 80 newborns. Questionnaires assessing, with the help of a visual analogic scale, the pains’ perception and the efficiency of the treatment of this pain were given to the 3 groups of participants. Results. -Parents assessed that their newborn feels an important pain (median: 5/10), that was not correlated with pain scales. Nurses and doctors assessed a lower level of pain (median: 2/10), greatly correlated with the pain scales. Parents assessed that the treatment of pain was better when the newborn was severily ill. The nurses, and even more the doctors, assessed the opposite effect. The nurses appeared to hold an intermediate position between parents and doctors. Nurses underlined moreover some lack of communication of the doctors about the newborns’ pain. This communication problem is a major hindrance to the adequate treatment of pain.

Observations of tropical cyclones(TC)from aircraft and in situ platforms provide critical and unique information for analyzing and forecasting TC intensity,structure,track,and their associated *** report,prepared for the tenth International Workshop on Tropical Cyclones(IWTC-10),discusses the data collected around the world in TCs over the past four years since the IWTC-9,improvements to observing techniques,new instruments designed to achieve sustained and targeted atmospheric and oceanic observations,and select research results related to these *** the Atlantic and Eastern and Central Pacific basins,changes to operational aircraft reconnaissance are discussed along with several of the research field campaigns that have taken place *** changes in the use and impact of these aircraft observations in numerical weather prediction models are also provided along with updates on some of the experimental aircraft *** from three field campaigns in the Western Pacific basin are also *** of in-situ data collected within recent TCs such as Hurricane Ian(2022),also demonstrate that new,emerging technologies and observation strategies reviewed in this report,definitely have the potential to further improve ocean-atmosphere coupled intensity forecasts.
