Constrains of eruption environment and hydrothermal fluid on the Permian pyroclastic reservoirs in the sichuan Basin,SW China

A breakthrough has been recently made in the hydrocarbon exploration of the Permian pyroclastic rocks in the Jianyang Area,western sichuan Basin,*** an aim to decipher the impacts of the eruption environment,the temperature of hydrothermal fluids,and the paleo-salinity on the formation of authigenic mineral assemblage and pores,this study implements comprehensive petrographic and geochemical studies through the integrated core and thin section *** data presented demonstrate that the Permian volcanic intervals are intensively affected by an event of Emei *** basaltic magma upward migration,fractional crystallization of anorthose results in slightlyalkaline *** specific pyroclastic rocks are formed by the eruption of slightly-alkaline magma in the sea or a salt lake and subsequent hydrothermal *** deposition and diagenesis,the authigenic mineral association is constrained jointly by the sodium-rich and high salinity water environment,and mid-high temperature,high-salinity hydrothermal ***,the sodium-rich hydrothermal fluid,which may sustain till the late diagenesis stage,caused pervasive albitization of pyroclastic rocks,then leading to mineral transformation and formation of a series of mineral ***,zeolitization of volcanic glass and vesicle-infillings of zeolite is an essential condition for later mineral transformation and *** of analcite,recrystallization induced by deep hydrothermal fluids,and both meteoric and deep burial dissolution expanding the micro-pore space ultimately formed porous pyroclastic reservoirs.

Geochemical characteristics and diagenetic fluids of dolomite reservoirs in the Huanglong Formation, Eastern sichuan Basin, China

Based on a comprehensive study of texture,diagenetic behavior and evolution of dolomite in the Huanglong Formation,trace （e.g.,Fe,Mn and Sr） and rare earth element （REE） geochemistry,andisotopic characteristics （e.g.,C,O and Sr）,four types of diagenetic fluids are identified in the Huanglong Formation dolomite reservoirs of the Eastern sichuan Basin,China：1）：marine-derived pore waters in the marine diagenetic environment,2） sabkha compaction brine conserved in the early shallowburied diagenetic environment,3） strongly-oxidizing low-temperature meteoric water in the seepagesubsurface flow diagenetic environment,and 4） strongly reducing deeply seated mixed hot brine in the middle and deep burial diagenetic *** fluids developed hereditarily from one environment to another,which resulted in its respective *** characteristics play an important role in the development of dolomite reservoirs：1） dolomitization by marine-derived pore water in the quasisyngenetic stage did not form an effective reservoir; 2） early diagenetic burial dolomitization by the sabkha compaction brine formed the basis for reservoir development; 3） meteoric water karstification in the paleo-epidiagenetic stage expanded both the distribution and the size of the reservoirs,and improved the reservoir quality; 4） deep-burial dissolution and tectonic fracturing in the reburial diagenetic stage further improved reservoir porosity and permeability.

Based on comprehensive analyses of occurrence,petrological observation,pore structure and geochemistry,the different reservoir characteristics and reservoir evolutionary pathways between different oolitic shoal reservoir types of the Feixianguan Formation on the west side of the Kaijiang-Liangping Trough have been *** exist three stages of high-energy slope break belts in the Feixianguan period,the corresponding three stages of oolitic shoals gradually migrating in the direction of the *** types of oolitic shoal reservoirs,namely,residual-oolitic dolomite,mold-oolitic dolomite and sparry oolitic limestone,were formed during sedimentary-diagenetic evolution,the pore types being intergranular dissolved pore,mold pore(or intragranular dissolved pore)and residual intergranular pore,*** petrology,physical properties and pore structure of the different types of oolitic shoal reservoirs are quite ***-oolitic dolomite reservoirs have the best quality,while sparry oolitic limestone reservoirs have the *** with analyses of trace elements,rare earth elements and carbon-oxygen isotopes,it is suggested that the formation of residual-oolitic dolomite reservoirs is jointly controlled by penesaline seawater seepage-reflux dolomitization and hydrothermal ***-pore oolitic dolomite reservoirs are controlled by penesaline seawater seepage-reflux dolomitization and meteoric water *** burial dissolution of organic acid not only further improves the reservoir qualities of previously formed oolitic dolomite reservoirs,but also preserves residual intergranular pores in the sparry oolitic limestone reservoirs.

The Origin of Paleokarst in the Huanglong Formation of the Eastern sichuan Basin:Evidence from δ^(13)C, δ^(18)O and ^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr

Karst rocks from the Huanglong Formation exposed at the margin of the Eastern sichuan Basin can be divided into four types：slightly corroded, moderately corroded porous, intensely corroded brecciated and intensely corroded and replaced secondary calcic karstic rocks. The carbon, oxygen and strontium isotope compositions of the various karst rocks are analyzed systematically and compared to rocks without karst corrosion. The results indicate that（1） the Huanglong Formation in the eastern sichuan Basin was a restricted bay supplied and controlled by freshwater in which mudmicrite and mud-dolomicrite exhibit low δ13C and δ18O values and high 87Sr/86 Sr ratios;（2） all types of karstic rocks in the paleokarst reservoirs of the Huanglong Formation in the research area are affected by atmospheric freshwater with the δ13C and δ18O values and 87Sr/86 Sr ratios in the original formation approaching those of atmospheric freshwater, which reflects ancient hydrological conditions, fluid properties, isotopic source and the fractionation effect;（3） the intensely corroded and replaced secondary limestone is affected by a variety of diagenetic fluids, often reflected by δ13C and δ18O values, while the 87Sr/86 Sr ratios exhibit the strong degree of the corrosion;（4） after comparing the 87Sr/86 Sr ratios of each type of karst rock, the diagenetic fluids are determined to be mainly atmospheric freshwater, and depending on the strength of corrosion, and the low 87Sr/86 Sr ratio fluids in the layer will participate in the karst process. The carbon, oxygen, and strontium isotopes of different karstic reservoirs can provide meaningful geochemical information for forecasting and evaluating the development and distribution rules of the Huanglong Formation at the margin of the eastern sichuan Basin in time and space.

Shale gas is an important unconventional *** economic recovery of shale gas is only possible when a fracture network with sufficient conductivity is created by hydraulic fracturing,that,if effectively propped,connects fracturing fractures and natural *** on the Longmaxi shale in the sichuan Basin,Southwest China,we built an optimization model for conductivity of multi-grade fractures based on equivalent seepage *** then experimentally analyzed the conductivity of self-propped and sand-propped fractures,and optimized the propping patterns of multi-grade hydraulic fractures in shale gas *** concluded that the propping effectiveness of fracture networks could be improved by using low concentrations of small-sized sands and by focusing on creating a large number of self-propped *** applying this understanding to the optimization of fracturing designs for the Longmaxi shale,we successfully created networks of well-propped fractures.

A BiGRU joint optimized attention network for recognition of drilling conditions

The identification and recording of drilling conditions are crucial for ensuring drilling safety and efficiency. However, the traditional approach of relying on the subjective determination of drilling masters based on experience formulas is slow and not suitable for rapid drilling. In this paper, we propose a drilling condition classification method based on a neural network model. The model uses an improved Bidirectional Gated Recurrent Unit (BiGRU) combined with an attention mechanism to accurately classify seven common drilling conditions simultaneously, achieving an average accuracy of 91.63%. The model also demonstrates excellent generalization ability, real-time performance, and accuracy, making it suitable for actual production. Additionally, the model has excellent expandability, which enhances its potential for further application.

Facies-controlled prediction of dolomite reservoirs in the Middle Permian Qixia Formation in Shuangyushi,northwestern sichuan Basin

The Middle Permian Qixia Formation in the Shuangyushi area,northwestern sichuan Basin,develops shoal-facies dolomite *** pinpoint promising reservoirs in the Qixia Formation,deep thin shoal-facies dolomite reservoirs were predicted using the techniques of pre-stack Kirchhoff-Q compensation for absorption,inverse Q filtering,low-to high-frequency compensation,forward modeling,and facies-controlled seismic meme *** results are obtained in six ***,the dolomite reservoirs mainly exist in the middle and lower parts of the second member of Qixia Formation(Qi2 Member),which coincide with the zones shoal cores are ***,the forward modeling shows that the trough energy at the top and bottom of shoal core increases with increasing shoal-core thickness,and weak peak reflections are associated in the middle of shoal ***,five types of seismic waveform are identified through waveform analysis of seismic ***-Ⅰ and Type-Ⅱ waveforms correspond to promising facies(shoal core microfacies).Fourth,vertically,two packages of thin dolomite reservoirs turn up in the sedimentary cycle of intraplatform shoal in the Qi2 Member,and the lower package is superior to the upper package in dolomite thickness,scale and lateral ***,in plane,significantly controlled by sedimentary facies,dolomite reservoirs laterally distribute with consistent thickness in shoal cores at topographical highs and extend toward the ***,the promising prospects are the zones with thick dolomite reservoirs and superimposition of horstegraben structural traps.

There is great controversy regarding the origin and source of natural gas in the Lower Triassic Feix-ianguan Formation in the Eastern sichuan *** seriously restricts the study of natural gas dy-namics in the Feixianguan Formation and thus hampers natural gas exploration in the region,so further study is urgently *** experimental tests of natural gas composition,stable isotopes,and noble gas isotopes with gas chromatography(GC)and mass spectrometry(MS)studies of source rock and reservoir asphalt saturated hydrocarbons,the natural gas geochemical characteristics,the genetic identification and a gas-source comparison of the Feixianguan Formation were ***,con-strained by the thermal history,the histories of gas generation and expulsion were restored by basin simulation ***,a gas accumulation model was established for the Feixianguan *** results showed that(1)the H_(2)S-rich and H2S-poor gas reservoirs of the Feixianguan Formation are distributed on the east and west sides of the Kaijiang-Liangping trough in the Eastern sichuan Basin,*** carbon and hydrogen isotope compositions of the natural gas in the gas reservoirs are generally heavy and have typical characteristics of high-maturity dry gas reservoirs.(2)The natural gas of the Feixianguan Formation is organic thermogenic gas,which is mainly oil-type gas generated by the secondary cracking of crude *** gas-generating parent material is mainly type II kerogen.(3)The natural gas of the Feixianguan Formation in the Eastern sichuan Basin was mainly generated by argil-laceous source rocks of the Upper Permian Longtan Formation.(4)Natural gas accumulation occurred as follows:the paleo-structure heights were filled with crude oil in the Early Jurassic,and paleo-oil res-ervoirs were formed in the Feixianguan Formation;during the Middle-Late Jurassic,the paleo-oil res-ervoirs were cracked when the reservoir temperatures rose above 160 C,and paleo-gas reservoi

Geochemical characteristics and diagenetic systems of dolomite reservoirs of the Changxing Formation in the eastern sichuan Basin, China

In order to discuss the relationship between dolomite reservoirs and diagenetic systems of the Changxing Formation, we studied carbon, oxygen and strontium stable isotopes, iron, manganese and strontium trace elements and the Mg/Ca （mol%） ratio, dolomite order degree, and determined that burial dolomitization is the key to controlling the distribution of high quality dolomite reservoir in the Changxing Formation in the eastern sichuan Basin. The dolomite of the Changxing Formation is divided into four diagenetic systems：（1） penecontemporaneous stage syngenetic brine diagenetic system, （2） early diagenetic stage strata seal brine diagenetic system, （3） middle-late diagenetic stage mixed hot brine diagenetic system and （4） tectonic uplift stage mixed hydrothermal fluid diagenetic system. New understanding of the controlling factors and distribution of dolomite reservoir development is discussed. Reef shoal facies belts controlled regional reservoir distribution and the scale of development. Burial dolomitization of a strata seal brine diagenetic system is the foundation of reservoir development, mainly developing pore reservoir. Burial dolomitization of mixed hot brine diagenetic system expanded the reservoir distribution and improved the reservoir quality, mainly developing pore-vug reservoir. Fracturing and dissolution of a mixed hydrothermal fluid diagenetic system is the key to improving the reservoir quality, mainly developing pore-vug-crack complex reservoirs.

Insights into in-situ imbibition behavior of fracturing fluid in propped shale fractures based on nuclear magnetic resonance:A case study from Longmaxi Formation shale,sichuan Basin,China

Shale gas is an important component of unconventional oil and gas *** the imbibition behavior is helpful to optimize flowback parameters and enhance gas *** imbibition studies have focused on shale matrix,and the pressure conditions discussed were mostly *** initial imbibition behavior begins from propped fractures to matrix,but there are few studies working on explaining the imbibition behavior in propped fractures or the phenomenon of many shale wells exhibit higher productivity after a“soaking”***,propped fracture samples were designed for imbibition and migration *** order to accurately study the mechanism and main influencing factors of fracturing fluid imbibition and migration in propped and unpropped shale fractures under high temperature and high pressure,a series of experiments based on nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)were carried *** showed that NMR T_(2) spectra of all samples exhibited a bimodal *** final imbibition volume of fracturing fluid was positively related to pressure and fracture *** imbibition effect of fracturing fluid was more evident in matrix pores under high *** the migration during soaking stage,the fracturing fluid gradually migrated from large pores to small pores and gradually displaced the shale gas from the matrix,thus allowing the water blocking in propped fractures to self-unlock to some *** permeability decreased in the imbibition stage,while it recovered in the migration stage to some extent.
