The CRISPR-Cas13 system,an RNA-guided editing tool,has emerged as a highly efficient and stable RNA editing *** the CRISPR-Cas13 system has been developed in several insect species,its application in lepidopterans has not yet been *** the present study,we evaluated the RNA cleavage activity of the CRISPR-Cas13 system in the silkworm(Bombyx mori),a model lepidopteran insect,both ex vivo and in *** established two stable silkworm BmE cell lines expressing PspCas13b and CasRx,*** analysis demonstrated that both PspCas13b and CasRx effectively down-regulated the transcription of exogenouslyintroduced target and endogenous genes in these cell *** addition,we generated two transgenic silkworm strains,one expressing CasRx and the other expressing RNA-guided CRISPR RNA targeting Sex combs reduced(Scr).Further crossing experiments showed that CasRx induced a down-regulation of Scr transcription in silkworms,which impaired systemic growth of ***,this study demonstrated that the CRISPR-Cas13RNA editing system works efficiently in the silkworm,providing a potential alternative approach for RNA manipulation in lepidopteran insects.

The degree and scope of constraints imposed by International Organizations(IOs)on States are increasing,and identifying the factors affecting the IOs’stances on States is helpful to enhance the state's discourse power and influence in the international ***,by coding the records of Regular Press Conferences of the Speaking Office of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs during the period of 20182022,we obtained a dataset of IOs’stances on china-related ***,we constructed political relation,economic relation,and humanistic relation indicators to complement the influence factors,adopted the Bayesian logit model,and applied the Monte Carlo Markov chain algorithm and Gibbs sampling to analyze the probability of IOs’positive stances towards *** result shows that IOs’category,length of establishment,functional position,and relationship with china are all related to their tendency of making a statement about *** terms of the heterogeneity of event types,forum-type IOs are significantly inclined to give positive assessment compared to service-type IOs on events focusing on china's own *** analysis reveals that the model for analyzing and predicting the attitudes of IOs is more effective when the international situation is in a stable period.

Grazing can modulate the feedback between vegetation and soil nutrient dynamics（carbon and nitrogen）,altering the cycles of these elements in grassland *** clarifying the impact of grazing on the C and N in plants and soils in the desert grassland of Ningxia,china,we examined the plant biomass,SOC（soil organic carbon）,total soil N and stable isotope signatures of plants and soils from both the grazed and ungrazed *** lower aboveground biomass,root biomass,litter biomass and vegetation coverage were found in the grazed site compared to the ungrazed site,with decreases of 42.0%,16.2%,59.4% and 30.0%,*** effects of grazing on plant carbon,nitrogen,？15N and ？13C values were uniform among *** levels of plant carbon and nitrogen in grasses were greater than those in the forbs（except for the carbon of Cynanchum komarovii and Euphorbia esula）.Root 15 N and 13 C values increased with grazing,while the responses of root carbon and nitrogen to grazing showed no consistent *** 15 N and 13 C were increased by 79.0% and 22.4% in the grazed site compared to the ungrazed site,*** values of SOC and total N were significantly lower in the grazed than in the ungrazed sites for all sampling depths（0–10 and 10–20 cm）,and values of SOC and total N at the surface（0–10 cm） were lower than those in the deeper soils（10–20 cm）.Soil ？15N values were not affected by grazing at any sampling depth,whereas soil ？13C values were significantly affected by grazing and increased by 19.3% and 8.6% in the soils at 0–10 and 10–20 cm,*** soil ？13C values（–8.3‰ to –6.7‰） were higher than those for roots（–20.2‰ to –15.6‰） and plant tissues（–27.9‰ to –13.3‰）.Our study suggests that grazing could greatly affect soil organic carbon and nitrogen in contrast to ungrazed grassland and that grazing appears to exert a negative effect on soil carbon and nitrogen in desert grassland.

Accurate trajectory prediction of surrounding road users is the fundamental input for motion planning,which enables safe autonomous driving on public *** this paper,a safe motion planning approach is proposed based on the deep learning-based trajectory prediction *** begin with,a trajectory prediction model is established based on the graph neural network(GNN)that is trained utilizing the INTERACTION ***,the validated trajectory prediction model is used to predict the future trajectories of surrounding road users,including pedestrians and *** addition,a GNN prediction model-enabled motion planner is developed based on the model predictive control ***,two driving scenarios are extracted from the INTERACTION dataset to validate and evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed motion planning approach,i.e.,merging and roundabout *** results demonstrate that the proposed method can lower the risk and improve driving safety compared with the baseline method.

The Jilantai Salt Lake （JSL）, a lake of importance due to its salt production in china since the early Qing dynasty, is surrounded by sand dunes. Exploration of the development of these sand dunes will be helpful for identifying the forces underlying the desert landscape and for identifying a solution to protect the salt resources. Through field investigation, we found sand dunes overlying either lacustrine and bog deposits on the lake bed at a lower altitude or littoral sediments on the higher lakeshores. Optically Stimulated Luminescence （OSL） dating results indicate that sands started to accumulate around the JSL as early as the early Holocene （around 11 ka）, while the rapid development of sand dunes occurred within the latest 0.1 ka. By comparison with climatic documents and human activities in adjacent regions, the initiation of sand accumulation around the JSL as early as the early Holocene is considered to be the result of low effective moisture in the Jilantai area. However, the rapid development of the sand dunes in the vast area surrounding the JSL was likely initiated by the intensified human activities which occurred within the latest 0.1 ka under warm and dry climatic conditions.
