Smart materials that reversibly change color upon light illumination are widely explored for diverse appealing ***,light-responsive color switching materials are mainly limited to organic *** synthesis of inorganic counterparts has remained a significant challenge because of their slow light response and poor ***,we report a seeded growth strategy for the synthesis of TiO_(2-x)/WO_(3)·0.33H_(2)Ohetero-nanoparticles(HNPs)with networked wire-like structure of〜10 nm in diameters that enable the highly reversible light-responsive color switching *** the TiO_(2-x)/WO_(3)·0.33H_(2)OHNPs,T P species self-doped in TiO_(2-x)nanoparticles(NPs)act as efficient sacrificial electron donors(SEDs)and Ti-O-W linkages formed between TiO2-x and WO30.33H2O NPs ensure the nanoscale interfacial contact,endowing the HNPs enhanced photoreductive activity and efficient interfacial charge transfer upon ultraviolet(UV)illumination to achieve highly efficient color *** TiO_(2-x)/WO_(3)·0.33H_(2)OHNPs exhibits rapid light response(180 times).We further demonstrate the applications of TiO_(2-x)/WO_(3)·0.33H_(2)O HNPs in ink-free,light-printable rewritable paper that can be written on freehand or printed on through a photomask using UV *** work opens an avenue for designing inorganic light-responsive color switching nanomaterials and their smart applications.

This paper studies the output synchronization problem for a class of networked non-linear multi-agent systems with switching topology and time-varying delays. To synchronize the outputs,a leader is introduced whose connectivity to the followers varies with time, and a novel data-driven consensus protocol based on model free adaptive control is proposed, where the reference input of each follower is designed to be the time-varying average of the neighboring agents＇ outputs. Both the case when the leader is with a prescribed reference input and the case otherwise are *** proposed protocol allows for time-varying delays, switching topology, and does not use the agent structure or the dynamics information implicitly or explicitly. Sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the closed-loop stability, and conditions for consensus convergence are obtained, where only a joint spanning tree is required. Numerical simulations and practical experiments are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed protocol.

Travel time distribution studies are fundamental for supporting transportation system reliability studies, particularly for urban road networks. However, such studies are generally based on travel time data sets with limited sample sizes, which provide inconsistent findings. In this paper, a large amount of travel time data collected from the emerging radio frequency identification(RFID) technique are used to conduct empirical investigations and estimations of travel time distributions, and three major findings are determined. First, travel time data are shown to have a complex statistical structure: the travel time distribution is in general peaky, multi-modal, and skewed to the right, which cross validates findings shown in previous publications. Second, unimodal distribution models are shown to be unable to capture the complex statistical dynamics embedded in the travel time data; therefore,a multistate distribution model is more appropriate for modeling travel time distributions. In this respect, a three-component gaussian mixture model(GMM) is tested and results consistently outperform those of unimodal distribution models. Finally, the aggregation time interval is shown to have a trivial effect on the shape of travel time distributions: the travel time distribution is stable under different aggregation time intervals. Future work is recommended to investigate further travel time variabilities and travel time distribution estimations.

In this paper, we present an interval model of networked control systems with time-varying sampling periods and time-varying network-induced delays and discuss the problem of stability of networked control systems using Lyapunov stability theory. A sufficient stability condition is obtained by solving a set of linear matrix inequalities. In the end, the illustrative example demonstrates the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed approach.

In cell-free massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM) systems, user equipments(UEs) are served by many distributed access points(APs),where channels are correlated owing to finite angle-delay spread in realistic outdoor wireless propagation environments. Meanwhile, the number of UEs is growing rapidly for future fully networked society. In this paper, we focus on the uplink transmission design in crowded correlated cell-free massive MIMO-OFDM systems with a limited number of orthogonal pilots. For the pilot transmission phase, we identify active UEs based on non-orthogonal pilot phase shift hopping patterns and non-orthogonal adjustable phase shift pilots(APSP). We derive a closed-form expression of mean square error of channel estimation(MSE-CE) and obtain an optimal condition for minimizing MSE-CE. According to this condition, the APSP set allocation scheme is proposed. Furthermore, for the data transmission, the max-min power control algorithm is devised to maximize the minimum spectral efficiency(SE) lower bound among active UEs. Simulation results indicate significant performance gains in terms of MSE-CE for the proposed APSP set allocation scheme. The proposed power control scheme can further improve the minimum SE among active UEs. Hence, they are crucial for crowded correlated cell-free massive MIMO-OFDM systems.

In this study, a networked swellable dextrin nanogel （DNG） was developed to achieve stimulated responsive small interfering RNA （siRNA） release for melanoma tumor therapy, siRNA was loaded into multidimensional dextrin nanogels by charge condensation with positive arginine residues modified in the dextrin backbone. Moreover, the networked nanogel was destroyed and loosened based on its bioreducible responsive property to control accelerated siRNA release in a bioreducible intracellular environment, while it remained stable under normal physiological conditions. We demonstrated that DNGs had swellable and disassembly properties under reduced buffer condition by transmission electron microscopy evaluation. The DNGs achieved an endosomal escape followed by selective release of the cargo into the cytosol by glutathione- triggered disassembly according to confocal microscopy observation. Thus, this smart nanogel achieved outstanding luciferase gene silencing efficiency and decreased Bcl2 protein expression in vitro and in vivo based on western blot analysis. Moreover, this nanogel exhibited superior anti-tumor activity for B16F10 xenograft tumors in C57BL/6 mice. These results demonstrate that the networked DNGs are effective for gene condensation and controlled intracellular release for tumor therapy. Overall, these findings suggest that this multidimensional swellable stimuli-responsive dextrin nanogel is an innovative strategy with great promise for gene and drug delivery.

While in the past years free-software has gained some acceptance in the domain of medical applications it has been mainly focused on quite typical IT-infrastructure cases -may that be billing systems,data warehousing,databases and content management systems a second area where free software has made prominent entrance has been in the area of imaging and high-volume data *** the area of medical devices,with rare exceptions,free-software is still quite underrepresented -in part due to acceptance but in part also due to plain technical ***/Linux,real-time and embedded variants and many free-software projected have made there way into medical applications -but is Free-software ready to cover the wide area of demands on medical platforms and there applications? The demands of medical platforms stretch more or less the entire range of computational capabilities: * battery powered -robust against power-failures * reliable in rough environment * compliant with safety regulations * robust and secure software platforms * standalone,networked all the way to clusters * extensibility for specialized hardware and software * from head-less to multithread graphical user-interfaces And all this for devices that sometimes only will be built in a few 10s or hundred devices? What advantages could free-software have here -what limitations are there -where do we still need to do *** software is not the answer to all problems in medical computing （or in any other area） -but it has a plethora of innovative and powerful solutions to *** will outline some of them along with some outstanding medical applications that have been built on free-software components.

This paper provides a strategic solution for enhancing the cybersecurity of power distribution system operations when information and operation technologies converge in active distribution network(ADN). The paper first investigates the significance of Internet of Things(IoT) in enabling fine-grained observability and controllability of ADN in networked microgrids. Given severe cybersecurity vulnerabilities embedded in conventionally centralized energy management schemes, the paper then proposes a cyber-secure decentralized energy management framework that applies a distributed decision-making intelligence to networked microgrids while securing their individual mandates for optimal operation. In particular,the proposed framework takes advantage of software-defined networking technologies that can secure communications among IoT devices in individual microgrids, and exploits potentials for introducing blockchain technologies that can preserve the integrity of communications among networked microgrids in ADN. Furthermore, the paperpresents the details of application scenarios where the proposed framework is employed to secure peer-to-peer transactive energy management based on a set of interoperable blockchains. It is finally concluded that the proposed framework can play a significant role in enhancing the efficiency, reliability, resilience, and sustainability of electricity services in ADN.

The minimization problem of time delays in networked control system （NCS） is concered, which is a hot area of such research field. First, some analysis and comments on time-delayed NCS model listed in previous work are given. Then, time delay minimization problem based on average behavior of network queuing delay is presented. Under fixed routing scheme and certain optimization performance indexes, the delay minimization problem is translated into convex optimization problem. And the solution of the delay minimization problems is attained through optimized allocation of flow rates among network links.
