Alveolar bone is the thickened ridge of jaw bone that supports *** is subject to constant occlusal force and pathogens invasion,and is therefore under active bone remodeling and *** bone holds a distinct niche from long bone considering their different developmental origin and postnatal remodeling ***,a systematic explanation of alveolar bone at single-cell level is still ***,we construct a single-cell atlas of mouse mandibular alveolar bone through single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq).A more active immune microenvironment is identified in alveolar bone,with a higher proportion of mature immune cells than in long *** all immune cell populations,the monocyte/macrophage subpopulation most actively interacts with mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)*** bone monocytes/macrophages express a higher level of Oncostatin M(Osm)compared to long bone,which promotes osteogenic differentiation and inhibits adipogenic differentiation of *** summary,our study reveals a unique immune microenvironment of alveolar bone,which may provide a more precise immune-modulatory target for therapeutic treatment of oral diseases.

Intracellular pH homeostasis is foundation of maintaining normal physiological *** and more evidences show that intracellular pH fluctuations were usually associated with many diseases(such as cancer,epilepsy and neurodegenerative diseases).It is very important to develop in situ real-time determination of *** recent years,it has been verified that pH can regulate the isomerization process of ***,we report a pH fluorescent probe BSL,which is a closed loop spiropyran structure by coupling benzothiazole derivatives with indole *** utilizes the process of spiropyran isomerization as the trigger of excited state intramolecular proton transfer(ESIPT)effect,and adjust the process of spiropyran isomerization through pH,and then the molecular transformation from enol to ketone(enol:525 nm,ketone:677 nm)through the ESIPT *** process achieved accurate measurement of *** probe BSL showed sensitive and reversible fluorescence response to pH in ***,BSL was successfully applied to detect pH fluctuations in cell oxidative stress model.

Cardiac rehabilitation, a comprehensive exercise-based lifestyle and medical management, is effective in decreasing morbidity and improving life quality in patients with coronary heart disease. Endothelial function, an irreplaceable indicator in coronary heart disease progression, is measured by various methods in traditional cardiac rehabilitation pathways, including medicinal treatment, aerobic training, and smoking cessation. Nevertheless, studies on the effect of some emerging cardiac rehabilitation programs on endothelial function are limited. This article briefly reviewed the endothelium-beneficial effects of different cardiac rehabilitation pathways, including exercise training, lifestyle modification and psychological intervention in patients with coronary heart disease, and related experimental models, and summarized both uncovered and potential cellular and molecular mechanisms of the beneficial roles of various cardiac rehabilitation pathways on endothelial function. In exercise training and some lifestyle interventions, the enhanced bioavailability of nitric oxide, increased circulating endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs), and decreased oxidative stress are major contributors to preventing endothelial dysfunction in coronary heart disease. Moreover, the preservation of endothelial-dependent hyperpolarizing factors and inflammatory suppression play roles. On the one hand, to develop more endothelium-protective rehabilitation methods in coronary heart disease, adequately designed and sized randomized multicenter clinical trials should be advanced using standardized cardiac rehabilitation programs and existing assessment methods. On the other hand, additional studies using suitable experimental models are warranted to elucidate the relationship between some new interventions and endothelial protection in both macro-and microvasculature.

Bayesian adjustment of gastric cancer mortality rate in the presence of misclassification

To correct for misclassification error in registering causes of death in Iran death registry using Bayesian method. METHODSNational death statistic from 2006 to 2010 for gastric cancer which reported annually by the Ministry of Health and Medical Education included in this study. To correct the rate of gastric cancer mortality with reassigning the deaths due to gastric cancer that registered as cancer without detail, a Bayesian method was implemented with Poisson count regression and beta prior for misclassified parameter, assuming 20% misclassification in registering causes of death in Iran. RESULTSRegistered mortality due to gastric cancer from 2006 to 2010 was considered in this study. According to the Bayesian re-estimate, about 3%-7% of deaths due to gastric cancer have registered as cancer without mentioning details. It makes an undercount of gastric cancer mortality in Iranian population. The number and age standardized rate of gastric cancer death is estimated to be 5805 (10.17 per 100000 populations), 5862 (10.51 per 100000 populations), 5731 (10.23 per 100000 populations), 5946 (10.44 per 100000 populations), and 6002 (10.35 per 100000 populations), respectively for years 2006 to 2010. CONCLUSIONThere is an undercount in gastric cancer mortality in Iranian registered data that researchers and authorities should notice that in sequential estimations and policy making.
