Voluminous Early Cretaceous granitoids and associated large-scale ore deposits are distributed within the southern Great Xing'an Range(SGXR),NE *** on previously published geochronology and zircon Hf-isotope data,Hf isotope mapping is undertaken to improve our understanding of crustal architecture and its controls on ore *** ore-related Early Cretaceous granitoids were sourced predominantly from juvenile crust,with the involvement of variable proportions of ancient crustal *** crustal architecture,as inferred from Hf isotopic contour maps,indicates two distinct Hf isotopic domains in SGXR,including(1)a higher-ε_(Hf)(+7 to+11)juvenile crust containing minor ancient crustal material,and(2)a lower-ε_(Hf)(+2 to+6)juvenile crust containing a greater proportion of ancient crustal *** Hf isotopic maps identify links between crustal architecture and regional *** deposits and other deposits with significant Cu production are restricted mainly to the higher-ε_(Hf)juvenile crustal regions in the northern and eastern *** dominated by other metals(e.g.,Mo,Sn,W,Pb,Zn,and Ag)occur mainly in the lower-ε_(Hf)juvenile crustal regions in the southern and western *** between juvenile crust-derived melts and ancient crustal components played an important role on the distribution of various ore metals.

●AIM:To introduce the macular hole(MH)hydromassage technique as a potentially beneficial approach for the treatment of large or persistent MH.●METHODS:This retrospective observational case series comprised 16 consecutive patients(17 eyes)diagnosed with *** criteria involved a hole aperture diameter larger than 600μm or the presence of an unclosed MH larger than 600μm following the previous *** MH repair procedures were administered in all cases,involving the manipulation and aspiration of the hole margin through the application of water flow with a soft-tip flute needle.A comprehensive assessment was conducted for each case before and after surgery,and optical coherence tomography(OCT)images were captured at every follow-up point.●RESULTS:The mean preoperative aperture diameter was 747±156μm(range 611-1180μm),with a mean base diameter of 1390±435μm(range 578-2220μm).Following surgery,all cases achieved complete anatomical closure of MH,with 13 cases(76.5%)exhibiting type 1 closure and 4 cases(23.5%)demonstrating type 2 *** significant differences were observed in the preoperative OCT variables between the two closure *** with type 1 closure showed a significantly improved visual acuity(0.70±0.10,range 0.50-0.80)compared to those with type 2 closure(0.90±0.12,range 0.80-1.00,P=0.014).●CONCLUSION:The MH hydromassage technique demonstrates promising results,achieving acceptable closure rates in cases of large or persistent *** technique may serve as an effective adjunctive maneuver during challenging MH surgery.

Survey of current practices in the management of cervical cancer by Moroccan radiotherapists

Objective:To assess the applicability degree of the international guidelines by Moroccan radiotherapists,in order to improve the management of cervical cancer(CC),since CC is the second most common cancer for women in ***:This cross-sectional study was carried out using a questionnaire sent online to Moroccan *** questionnaire covered participants'characteristics,initial assessment and treatment preparation,techniques and indications for radiotherapy and brachytherapy,dose and indications,as well as on the protocol adopted in the intermediate stages and the location of adjuvant treatments and assessments'***:74 radiotherapists out of 300 have responded to the *** 27.0%of practitioners reported discussing patient records systematically in a multidisciplinary consultation meeting(MCM).For the initial assessment,77.0%requested pelvic magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).It is significantly less requested in regional oncology centers(ROCs)than in university hospital centers(UHCs)or the private sector(P<0.001).Furthermore,Clinicians in ROCs do not have access to new techniques of *** 83.8%of cases,the most prescribed radiotherapy protocols were 45–46 Gy in 1.8–2 Gy per ***-dimensional gynaecological brachytherapy high-throughput dose guided by dosimetric scanner was available in 75.5%of structures while interstitial gynaecological brachytherapy was only available in 23%of *** two most prescribed dose protocols were 47 Gy and 37 Gy in 74.4%and 21.6%of cases,***,monitoring during the first two years was based mainly on pelvic MRI(82.2%)while PET/CT was recommended by only less than 10%.Conclusions:The findings obtained show that our radiotherapists generally comply with international guidelines for the cervical cancer ***,they should still enhance their practices for the first staging evaluation,the use of systematic MCMs,the doses and treatment techniques used,and

Dietary Exposure of the Chinese Population to Acrylamide

Objective To assess the current status of the acrylamide in the Chinese food supply, the dietary acrylamide exposure in the Chinese population and to estimate the public health risks of the current consumption. Methods The acrylamide content in the total diet study （TDS） food samples was analyzed using an LC-MS/MS method. Based on the analytical results, the dietary exposure calculations were performed using a deterministic method, combining mean acrylamide concentrations from the food group composite with their associated food consumptions. Results Acrylamide was detected in 43.7% of all samples collected and acrylamide concentration varied from ND to 526.6 I^g/kg. The estimated dietary intakes of acrylamide among Chinese general population given as the mean and the 95th percentile （P95） were 0.286 and 0.490 ***1 ***1, respectively. The margins of exposure （MOEs） for the population calculated using both benchmark dose lower confidence limit for a 10% extra risk of tumors in animals （BMDL10） 0.31 and 0.18 i^g.k8-1 bw-dayz, were 1069 and 621 for the mean dietary exposure, and 633 and 367 for the high dietary exposure respectively. Conclusion These MOE values might indicate a human health concern on acrylamide for Chinese population. Efforts should continue to reduce acrylamide levels in food in order to reduce the dietary risks to the human health.

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS): Exploring Its Impact on Obstetrical Outcomes

Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) disrupts ovulation leading to both infertility and miscarriage;yet, its impact on obstetrical outcomes remains largely uncertain due to conflicting findings. We analyzed data from the CDC Pregnancy Risk assessment of Monitoring System, specifically Standard Core and Phase 8 responses, with 9549 respondents across the United States through SPSS 28 software in this cross-sectional study. Two variables assessed PCOS status in respondents: history of PCOS and PCOS during pregnancy. With a history of PCOS, there were significantly increased odds of diabetic (OR 1.665, p < 0.001), hypertensive disorders (OR 1.589, p < 0.001) during pregnancy, neonatal mortality (OR 1.550, p < 0.001), cesarean section (C/S) (OR 1.489, p < 0.001), and preterm prelabor rupture of membranes (PPROM) (OR 2.081, p < 0.001). With PCOS diagnosed during pregnancy, there were significantly greater odds of diabetes (OR 3.278, p < 0.001), hypertensive disorders (OR 2.935, p < 0.001) during pregnancy, and significantly decreased risk for small for gestational age (2 standard deviations) (OR 0.337, p = 0.024). PCOS is a significant risk factor that contributes to maternal morbidity. Our results support the hypothesis that PCOS’ impact extends well into a woman’s obstetrical journey, with varying degrees of associated adverse maternal and fetal risks. Preliminary pathophysiologic explanations associated with PCOS gestational diabetes include pre-existing insulin resistance. Meanwhile, altered placentation and endovascular changes associated with PCOS secondary to a baseline deranged metabolic environment predispose patients to developing hypertensive disorders, PPROM, and preterm delivery. Associations between neonatal mortality and C/S can be attributed to elevated maternal body mass index. The pathophysiologic link between PCOS and the above obstetrical outcomes still remains unknown, necessitating further investigation;however, this study identifies the outcomes that

Tumor metastasis, responsible for approximately 90% of cancer-associated mortality, remains poorly understood. Here in this study, we employed a melanoma lung metastasis model to screen for metastasis-related genes. By sequential tail vein injection of mouse melanoma B16F10 cells and the subsequently derived cells from lung metastasis into BALB/c mice, we successfully obtained highly metastatic B16F15 cells after five rounds of in vivo screening. RNA-sequencing analysis of B16F15 and B16F10 cells revealed a number of differentially expressed genes, some of these genes have previously been associated with tumor metastasis while others are novel discoveries. The identification of these metastasis-related genes not only improves our understanding of the metastasis mechanisms, but also provides potential diagnostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for metastatic melanoma.

Prediction of sepsis within 24 hours at the triage stage in emergency departments using machine learning

BACKGROUND:Sepsis is one of the main causes of mortality in intensive care units(ICUs).Early prediction is critical for reducing *** approximately 36%of sepsis occur within 24 h after emergency department(ED)admission in Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care(MIMIC-IV),a prediction system for the ED triage stage would be *** methods such as the quick Sequential Organ Failure assessment(qSOFA)are more suitable for screening than for prediction in the ED,and we aimed to fi nd a light-weight,convenient prediction method through machine ***:We accessed the MIMIC-IV for sepsis patient data in the *** dataset comprised demographic information,vital signs,and synthetic *** Gradient Boosting(XGBoost)was used to predict the risk of developing sepsis within 24 h after ED ***,SHapley Additive exPlanations(SHAP)was employed to provide a comprehensive interpretation of the model's *** percent of the patients were randomly selected as the testing set,while the remaining patients were used for training with 10-fold ***:For 10-fold cross-validation on 14,957 samples,we reached an accuracy of 84.1%±0.3%and an area under the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve of 0.92±*** model achieved similar performance on the testing set of 1,662 *** values showed that the fi ve most important features were acuity,arrival transportation,age,shock index,and respiratory ***:Machine learning models such as XGBoost may be used for sepsis prediction using only a small amount of data conveniently collected in the ED triage *** may help reduce workload in the ED and warn medical workers against the risk of sepsis in advance.
