Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis CCFM1269 promotes intestinal barrier and release of IFN-β through TLR4-TRIF dependent way in growing mice

Bifidobacterium longum subsp. infantis is a commensal bacterium that predominates in the infant gut， playing a critical role in both preventing foreign infections and facilitating immune development. This study aimed to explore the effects of B. longum subsp. infantis supplementation on interferon-beta (IFN-β) secretion and intestinal barrier improvement in growing mice. Female and male mice were orally administered either saline or B. longum subsp. infantis CCFM1269 or I5TI (1 × 109CFU/mice per day， n = 8) from 1-week-age until 3-， 4-， and 5-week-age. RNA sequencing analysis revealed that CCFM1269 exhibited potential antiviral capacity through increasing 2’-5’ oligoadenylate synthetase (OAS). Additionally， CCFM1269 supplementation significantly increased colonic IFN-β levels which combined with OAS in 3-week-old female and male mice by activating the TLR4-TRIF-dependent signaling pathway. However， this effect was not observed in 4- and 5-week-old mice. Furthermore， both CCFM1269 were found to modulate the gut microbiota composition and enhance the intestinal barrier function in 3-， 4-， and 5-week-old mice. In summary， the results of this study suggested that B. longum subsp. infantis CCFM1269 promoting intestinal barrier and releasing IFN-β in growing mice was in a strain-specific and time-dependent manner.

A Structural Measurement of the Valuation Effect of China's External Assets:Method and Application

Existing research on the measurement of the valuation effect mainly follows the residual method proposed by Lane and Milesi-Ferretti(2001).This cannot be used to perform structural *** propose an aggregation approach rather than the residual method to measure structurally the investment flow and valuation effect of China's external *** results indicate that the valuation effect of China's external assets has been highly volatile and it was negative during the pandemic *** structural decomposition shows that portfolio investment and direct investment made the main contributions to the valuation *** impact of exchange rates on the valuation effect has generally been higher than that of asset price in terms of direct investment and total external assets but the opposite has been true for portfolio ***'s outward investments are currently more inclined to Asian countries and a few European countries but inflows to China still mainly come from developed countries.

Background:Information on the association between physical activity(PA)and the risk of chronic kidney disease(CKD)is *** aimed to explore the associations of total,domain-specific,and intensity-specific PA with CKD and its subtypes in ***:The study included 475,376 adults from the China Kadoorie Biobank aged 30-79 years during 2004-2008 at *** interviewer-administered questionnaire was used to collect the information about PA,which was quantified as metabolic equivalent of task hours per day(MET-h/day)and categorized into 4 groups based on *** regression was used to analyze the association between PA and CKD ***:During a median follow-up of 12.1 years,5415 incident CKD cases were documented,including 1159 incident diabetic kidney disease(DKD)cases and 362 incident hypertensive nephropathy(HTN)*** PA was inversely associated with CKD risk,with an adjusted hazard ratio(HR,95%confidence interval(95%CI))of 0.83(0.75-0.92)for incident CKD in the highest quartile of total PA as compared with participants in the lowest *** results were observed for risk of DKD and HTN,and the corresponding HRs(95%CIs)were 0.75(0.58-0.97)for DKD risk and 0.56(0.37-0.85)for HTN *** nonoccupational PA,low-intensity PA,and moderate-to-vigorous-intensity PA were significantly associated with a decreased risk of CKD,with HRs(95%CIs)of 0.80(0.73-0.88),0.85(0.77-0.94),and 0.85(0.76-0.95)in the highest quartile,***:PA,including nonoccupational PA,low-intensity PA,and moderate-to-vigorous-intensity PA,was inversely associated with the risk of CKD,including DKD,HTN,and other CKD,and such associations were dose dependent.

Albumen/Gelatin Bio-Inks Preparation in 3D Bio-Printing for in situ Tissue Culture of Cultured Meat

3D bio-printing is an emerging tissue engineering technology， and its printing parameters have been upgraded to enable in-depth application in cell-cultured meat. However， excellent printable and edible bio-inks for cell-cultured meat are in urgent need of development. Therefore， a low-cost bio-ink based on albumin and gelatin was developed. At first， suitable printability of the bio-ink was determined by rheology analysis， excellent mechanical stability， and excellent mechanical stability of the printed scaffold was also proved by water absorption and degradation rate. Next， the biocompatibility of the scaffold and its interaction with cells were clarified through cell proliferation culture， cell status research and omics analysis. Notably， AG7 demonstrated better printability and AGS7 provided better conditions for cell attachment， proliferation and migration， "S"-shaped exponential growth curve further revealed the significant advantages of AGS7 scaffolds in cell culture. More importantly， the tissue culture process of muscle cells was simulated to organoid culture， which elucidated the interaction information between cells and scaffolds. This work has filled the vacancy in the industry and provides a novel strategy for the development of production of cell cultured meat.

Anti-biofilm and anti-virulence potential of cell free supernatant of Akkermansia muciniphila against Salmonella

Akkermansia muciniphila is one of the commensals residing within the mammalian gut and co-evolving with the *** studies have demonstrated the benefits of *** in ameliorating metabolic disorders,while little is known about the antimicrobial potential of *** against ***,we examined the antimicrobial and anti-virulence properties of cell free supernatant(CFS)of *** against Salmonella *** retarded bacterial growth and inhibited the motility of *** SL1344 and *** *** dose-dependently reduced cell hydrophobicity and auto-aggregation of both ***,CFS from *** significantly attenuated biofilm *** with untreated bacteria,CFS-treated bacteria significantly decreased adhesion and invasion to Caco-2 cells,and reduced intracellular survival in *** maintained antimicrobial properties after treatment with high temperatures and various proteases,while it lost its antimicrobial activity after pH *** chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)confirmed that *** produced a certain amount of acetate and propionate,and ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(UHPLCMS)identified other organic acids and metabolites in *** summary,CFS from *** exhibited anti-biofilm and anti-virulence properties against Salmonella and could be potentially utilized in the food industry for controlling Salmonella contamination and reducing infection.

Conservation genomics provides insights into genetic resilience and adaptation of the endangered Chinese hazelnut, Corylus chinensis

Global climate change has increased concerns regarding biodiversity ***,many key conservation issues still required further research,including demographic history,deleterious mutation load,adaptive evolution,and putative *** we generated the first chromosome-level genome of the endangered Chinese hazelnut,Corylus chinensis,and compared the genomic signatures with its sympatric widespread ***-C yunnanensis *** found large genome rearrangements across all Corylus species and identified species-specific expanded gene families that may be involved in *** genomics revealed that both *** and the *** complex had diverged into two genetic lineages,forming a consistent pattern of southwestern-northern *** size of the narrow southwestern lineages of both species have decreased continuously since the late Miocene,whereas the widespread northern lineages have remained stable(***) or have even recovered from population bottlenecks(*** complex) during the *** with ***-C. yunnanensis complex,*** showed significantly lower genomic diversity and higher inbreeding ***,*** carried significantly fewer deleterious mutations than ***-C. yunnanensis complex,as more effective purging selection reduced the accumulation of homozygous *** also detected signals of positive selection and adaptive introgression in different lineages,which facilitated the accumulation of favorable variants and formation of local ***,both types of selection and exogenous introgression could have mitigated inbreeding and facilitated survival and persistence of ***,our study provides critical insights into lineage differentiation,local adaptation,and the potential for future recovery of endangered trees.

Influence of preheating treatments on cyanide content， nutritional composition， physicochemical properties， color and oxidative stability of flaxseed meal

This study aimed to investigate the effects of different preheating treatments （steaming， roasting and microwave） of flaxseed on cyanide content， nutritional composition， physicochemical properties， color and oxidative stability of flaxseed meal. The three preheating methods of flaxseed all significantly decreased the hydrocyanic acid （HCN） contents. By contrast， microwave was the most effective detoxification method. After 5 min of microwave treatment， the HCN content in flaxseed was reduced from 94.65 ± 1.68 mg/kg to 7.80 ± 0.57 mg/kg. In addition， the three preheating methods all significantly increased the polyphenol content， thiobarbituric acid reactive substances （TBARS）， peroxide value （POV）， and a*value， and slightly decreased polyunsaturated fatty acid （PUFA） contents， but significantly decreased total amino acid contents as well as L*， W*and b*values. Interestingly， the three preheating methods all improved the oxidative stability and color stability of flaxseed upon accelerated storage under 40 °C. Compared with steaming （120 ℃ for 20 min） and roasting （100 ℃ for 40 min）， microwave （560 W for 4 min） is recommended for decreasing cyanide content， as well as enhancing the flaxseed' stability and qualitative attributes.
