Cutaneous nerve regeneration in diabetic wounds remains a challenge for current clinical ***,a natural protein-based functional hydrogel is developed using keratin as the sole matrix,and protocatechuic aldehyde(PA)and zinc ions as the building blocks through dual-dynamic crosslinking reactions of thiol-aldehyde addition and catecholzinc ions *** unique structural design endows the hydrogel with excellent injectability,skin adhesion,self-healing and antibacterial ability,and *** addition,this hydrogel acts as a drug carrier for the loading and sustained release of phellopterin(PP),a natural compound extracted from traditional chinese medicine Angelica *** findings demonstrate that the PP-loaded hydrogel promotes cutaneous nerve regeneration,angiogenesis and tissue remodeling in the full-thickness wounds in both db/db and streptozotocin-induced C57BL/6 diabetic mice,notably by the synergistic effect of zinc ions and PP,showing a great potential in diabetic wound therapy.

Dear Editor,This letter is concerned with stability analysis and stabilization design for sampled-data based load frequency control(LFC) systems via a data-driven method. By describing the dynamic behavior of LFC systems based on a data-based representation, a stability criterion is derived to obtain the admissible maximum sampling interval(MSI) for a given controller and a design condition of the PI-type controller is further developed to meet the required MSI. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed methods is verified by a case study.

Sodium-ion batteries hold great promise as next-generation energy storage ***,the high instability of the electrode/electrolyte interphase during cycling has seriously hindered the development of *** particular,an unstable cathode–electrolyte interphase(CEI)leads to successive electrolyte side reactions,transition metal leaching and rapid capacity decay,which tends to be exacerbated under high-voltage ***,constructing dense and stable CEIs are crucial for high-performance *** work reports localized high-concentration electrolyte by incorporating a highly oxidation-resistant sulfolane solvent with non-solvent diluent 1H,1H,5H-octafluoropentyl-1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl ether,which exhibited excellent oxidative stability and was able to form thin,dense and homogeneous *** excellent CEI enabled the O3-type layered oxide cathode NaNi_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)Fe_(1/3)O_(2)(NaNMF)to achieve stable cycling,with a capacity retention of 79.48%after 300 cycles at 1 C and 81.15%after 400 cycles at 2 C with a high charging voltage of 4.2 *** addition,its nonflammable nature enhances the safety of *** work provides a viable pathway for the application of sulfolane-based electrolytes on SIBs and the design of next-generation high-voltage electrolytes.

Temporal and spatial changes of total nitrogen （TN）, total phosphorus （TP） and chlorophyll-a （Chl-a） in a shallow lake, Lake Chaohu, China, were investigated using monthly monitoring data from 2001 through 2011. The results showed that the annual mean concentration ranges of TN, TP, and Chl-a were 0.08-14.60 mg/L, 0.02-1.08 mg/L, and 0.10-465.90 ~tg/L, respectively. Our data showed that Lake Chaohu was highly eutrophic and that water quality showed no substantial improvement during 2001 through 2011. The mean concentrations of TP, TN and Chl-a in the western lake were significantly higher than in the eastern lake, which indicates a spatial distribution of the three water parameters. The annual mean ratio of TN：TP by weight ranged from 10 to 20, indicating that phosphorus was the limiting nutrient in this lake. A similar seasonality variation for TP and Chl-a was observed. Riverine TP and NH4＋ loading from eight major tributaries were in the range of 1.56× 10^4-5.47 × 10^4 and 0.19 × 104-0.51 × 10^4 tons/yr over 2002-2011, respectively, and exceeded the water environmental capability of the two nutrients in the lake by a factor of 3-6. Thus reduction of nutrient loading in the sub-watershed and tributaries would be essential for the restoration of Lake Chaohu.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries are highly favored for grid-level energy storage owing to their low cost and high safety,but their practical application is limited by slow ion *** address this,a strategy has been developed to create a cation-accelerating electric field on the surface of the cathode to achieve ultrafast Zn2+diffusion *** employing electrodeposition to coat MoS2on the surface of BaV6O16·3H2O nanowires,the directional built-in electric field generated at the heterointerface acts as a cation accelerator,continuously accelerating Zn2+diffusion into the active *** optimized Zn2+diffusion coefficient in CC@BaV-6O16·3H2O@MoS2(7.5×10～8cm2s-1) surpasses that of most reported V-based ***,MoS2serving as a cathodic armor extends the cycling life of the Zn-CC@BaV6O16·3H2O@MoS2full batteries to over 10000 *** work provides valuable insights into optimizing ion diffusion kinetics for high-performance energy storage devices.

In this study, the interdecadal changes in the zonal Antarctic Oscillation （AAO） were analyzed. To describe symmetry of both Arctic Oscillation （AO） and the zonal asymmetry, a local index of AO and AAO was defined using the normalized sea level pressure （SLP） differences between 40° and 65° （latitudes） in both hemispheres. The zonal covariability of local AO and AAO can well represent the zonal symmetry of AO and AAO. Results show that the zonal asymmetry of both AO and AAO significantly changed in the late 1970s. AO was less asymmetric in the zonal direction in the boreal winter season during the latter period, while in the boreal summer it became more asymmetric after 1979. The zonal symmetry of AAO in both austral summer and winter has also significantly decreased since the late 1970s. These changes may imply interdecadal transition in the atmospheric circulation at middle and high latitudes, which is of vital importance to understanding climate variability and predictability across the globe, including the African Asian Australian monsoon regions.

In detailed aerodynamic design optimization,a large number of design variables in geometry parameterization are required to provide sufficient flexibility and obtain the potential optimum ***,with the increasing number of design variables,it becomes difficult to maintain the smoothness on the surface which consequently makes the optimization process progressively *** this paper,smoothing methods based on B-spline functions are studied to improve the smoothness and design *** wavelet smoothing method and the least square smoothing method are developed through coordinate transformation in a linear space constructed by B-spline basis *** these two methods,smoothing is achieved by a mapping from the linear space to itself such that the design space remains unchanged.A design example is presented where aerodynamic optimization of a supercritical airfoil is conducted with smoothing methods included in the optimization *** results from the design example confirm that these two smoothing methods can greatly improve quality and efficiency compared with the existing conventional non-smoothing method.

In this study, the relationship between year-to-year variations in the Bering Sea ice cover （BSIC） and the East Asian winter monsoon （EAWM） for the period 1969-2001 was documented. The time series of total ice cover in the eastern Bering Sea correlated with the EAWM index at -0.49, indicating that they are two tightly related components. Our results show that the BSIC was closely associated with the simultaneous local and large-scale atmosphere over the Asian-northern Pacific region. Heavy BSIC corresponded to weaker EAWM circulations and light BSIC corresponded to stronger EAWM circulations. Thus, the BSIC should be considered as one of the possible factors affecting the EAWM variation.

The objective of this paper is to describe the lessons learned and actions that have been taken related to the seismic design of bridge structures after the Chi-Chi,Taiwan *** variable near-fault ground motion data was collected from the rupture of Chelungpu fault during the Chi-Chi earthquake,allowing the seismic response of bridge structures subjected to these near-fault ground motions to be carefully *** study the near-fault ground motion effect on bridge seismic design codes,a two-level seismic design of bridge structures was developed and *** design code reflects the near-fault factors in the seismic design ***,a risk assessment methodology,based on bridge vulnerability,is also developed to assist in decisions for reducing seismic risk due to failure of bridges.
