A visual analytics system is proposed to reveal the lead/lag correlation when air pollution is detected. In this system, an Overview + Detail approach is utilized for analyzing the correlation of air quality under both the spatial and temporal dimensions and different spatial-temporal scales. An annular container is proposed to preserve the context spatial information while the zoom level of the map changes. Based on the annular container, several analysis techniques such as STL decomposition view and correlation algorithm are integrated.

A distributed and adaptive framework (DAF) was proposed for provisioning quality of service (QoS) in IPv6 network. In DAF, per-flow admission control and resource reservation, in conjunction with a new IPv6 flow label mechanism, can be performed instantaneously in a fully distributed and independent fashion at the edge of network without hop-by-hop signaling. The flow label helps in resource reservation and packets forwarding for aggregated traffic on an edge-to-edge path basis. In addition, a bounded directional probing technique for DAF was designed to reconfigure resource reservation adaptively between every pair of edge router for aggregated traffic according to the fluctuation of its traffic load. The simulation results show that DAF provides QoS guarantees to individual flows with minimal overhead, as well as keeping the scalability characteristic like DiffServ.

This paper analyzes trusted network connect (TNC) protocols within the universally composable (UC) framework. We propose the first TNC model in the UC framework by first designing the TNC ideal functionality FTNC, the EAP ideal functionality FEAP and the EAP-TNC ideal functionality FE-PA. Then, we construct a trusted network connect protocol named TK-TNC that UC-realizes FTNC in the (FEAP, FE-PA)- hybrid model. Subsequently, we perform a security analysis on protocol D-H PN given in the TCG specification and show that this protocol cannot securely realize the EAP-TNC ideal functionality and be resistant to an attack. Finally, we propose an alternative protocol using the twin Diffie-Hellman key-exchange technique, named protocol TD-H PN, which can securely realize the EAP-TNC ideal functionality in the (FREG, FCERT)-hybrid model.

Previous studies on the behavioral implications of recommender systems suggest that consumer preferences after consumption are malleable and tend to shift towards the ratings presented by a recommender system because of the anchoring *** upon the literature on consumer satisfaction,we show that such a view on the anchoring effects of recommender systems is *** from the assimilation effects that pull the consumers’preferences towards the anchor,the contrast effects may shift their preferences in the other ***,we theoretically hypothesize that the impacts of recommendations on consumers’constructed preferences are dependent on the level of deviation of the presented *** hypotheses are validated through a laboratory *** findings extend the existing literature on behavioral implications of recommender systems and provide a more comprehensive theoretical lens for understanding the anchoring effects,which may offer helpful insights for improving the design and use of recommender systems.

Analysis of inpatient payments of breast cancer patients with different medical insurance coverages in China(mainland) in 2011–2015

Objective： An understanding of the levels and trends of medical cost is made for breast cancer patients with different medical insurance coverages in China（mainland）, in an attempt to offer a clue to further control the ***： The inpatient payments of 9,716,180 breast cancer patients spent in medical institutions of different types and grades during 2011–2015 were collected from the inpatient medical record home page（IMRHP） *** data were then processed with SAS（Version 9.3; SAS Institute, Cary, NC, USA）. Indicators like means,increase（decrease） percentages were used to descriptively analyze the average hospitalization expense of each time（AHEET） and its trends of breast cancer patients with different medical insurance coverages treated in medical institutions of different types and ***：In 2011–2015,the AHEET borne by breast cancer patients in China had been constantly ***,the self-pay inpatients had the largest increase,inpatients covered by Urban Employee Basic Medical Insurance（UEBMI）and Urban Resident Basic Medical Insurance（URBMI）were the next,and those covered by New Rural Cooperative Medical System（NRCMS）had the least *** cancer inpatient treated in public hospitals had quite greater increase and higher expenditure level than those in private *** AHEET borne by the inpatients in Grade 3 hospitals had greater increase and higher cost than those in Grade 2 ***：The inpatient payments of breast cancer patients will be wisely controlled by reducing the number of self-pay inpatients,taking advantage of restriction mechanism of the medical insurances,and promoting healthy competition between private hospitals and public *** economic burden imposed on the society by breast cancer can be relieved through further control of inpatient payments of UEBMI-and URBMI-covered breast cancer patients and of Grade 3 hospitals.

Impact of Web Site Functions on E-Business Success in Chinese Wholesale and Retail Industries

Web sites are very important and companies can attract customers by promoting various features of the web site. This paper presents an analysis of the relationship between web site functions and firm performance. A research model based on the DeLone and McLean （D＆M） model and customer service life cycle （CSLC） theory was used to investigate the impact of web site functions on e-business success. The research model considers web site functions, web site use, customer satisfaction, and firm performance. According to the CSLC theory, there are three stages in a customer service life cycle. Therefore, the web site functions are divided into three stages： requirements, acquisition, and ownership. The functions in each stage serve to encourage usage and thus, enhance customer satisfaction and firm performance. The theoretical model and hypotheses were tested using data collected from 72 wholesale and retail firms in China using the partial least squares （PLS） method. The results suggest that web site functions in the acquisition stage have the strongest impact on web site use and that the improvement of customer satisfaction can significantly increase firm performance.

Field monitoring revealed that the infection ratio of the bacterial symbiont Cardinium in the whitefly(Bemisia tabaci MED)was relatively low in northern ***,the role of this symbiont and the symbiont-whitefly-host plant interaction mechanism are poorly *** investigated the influence of Cardinium on the competitiveness of the host whitefly and the physiological interaction between the host plants and host ***-infected whiteflies were displaced by uninfected whiteflies after 5 generations,which showed that Cardinium infection reduced whitefly *** defense response genes of cotton significantly decreased under infestation by infected whiteflies compared to uninfected *** expression of detoxification metabolism genes,especially the uridine 5ʹ-diphospho-glucuronyltransferase and P450 genes,in infected whiteflies significantly *** results demonstrated that Cardinium could inhibit the defense response of the host plant and decrease the detoxification metabolism ability of the host *** reduced competitiveness of infected whiteflies may be associated with the inhibition of the whitefly detoxification metabolism by Cardinium,resulting in the reduced performance of infected ***,Cardinium infection can suppress plant defenses,which may benefit both infected and uninfected whiteflies when they *** research illustrates the symbiont–whitefly–host plant interaction mechanism and the population dynamics of the whitefly.
