Phototherapy, including photodynamic therapy(PDT) and photothermal therapy (PTT), is a promisingmethod of tumor treatment, which has the advantages ofstrong specificity and small side effects. However, PDT willaggravate the hypoxic environment in tumor cells, and PTTwill lead to heat-resistant reaction, both of which will make theorganism quickly produce heat shock proteins (HSPs) toprotect itself, thus seriously hindering the therapeuticefficiency of phototherapy. As a natural HSPs inhibitor,quercetin (QR) provides a feasible way to solve this ***, a kind of metal organic framework (MOF), Fe-TCPP(FT), was used as a delivery material and photosensitizer tobuild a chemo-phototherapy platform, and QR was used as achemotherapy drug and HSPs inhibitor. On this basis, the nanoparticles (NPs) were modified with PEG-CPP30 (a cellpenetratingpeptide that specifically recognizes human breast cancer MCF-7 cells), which showed excellent targetingcapacity and biocompatibility. The combination of chemotherapy and phototherapy significantly improved the anti-cancereffect. At the same time, NPs also showed prominent anti-HSPs effect. The effective connection of the two played acomplementary role in the process of tumor treatment, which provided a new strategy for the accurate and efficienttreatment of tumors in the future.

Every year,a substantial number of children sustain injuries and fatalities in motor vehicle crashes in *** the factors contributing to child injury is crucial for the development of appropriate mitigation measures that aid in alleviating the severity of such *** this study,a hierarchical Bayesian binary logit regression model was developed to investigate the factors that contribute to children’s injuries resulting from crashes while accounting for possible intra-class correlation effects(those of unobserved factors common to children involved in the same crash).A strong correlation among crashes justified the use of the hierarchical Bayesian logit *** per the modeling results,the children’s ages,safety restraint types,vehicle types,drivers’ages,alcohol/drug involvement,drivers’seat belt use habits,drivers’actions,manners of collision and environmental conditions contributed to child injury *** child’s age was found to be inversely related to the risk of ***,among safety restraint types,rear-facing car seats and forward-facing car seats were found to reduce injury likelihoods in *** it comes to the drivers’characteristics,the probability of incurring injuries among the child population increased in the presence of young,unbuckled and impaired ***,improper driving actions,such as running off the road,raised the risk of incurring injuries to *** findings of this study may be beneficial to authorities regarding developing and implementing road safety programs aimed at ameliorating child injury concerns.

Water wave energy exhibits great potential toalleviate the global energy crisis. However, harvesting andutilizing wave energy are challenging due to its irregularity,randomness, and low frequency. Triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs) have gained significant attention for harvesting waveenergy with high efficiency. This study presents a novelellipsoidal, pendulum-like TENG integrating both liquid-liquid(L-L) and solid-solid (S-S) triboelectricity (LS-TENG). Thisinnovative design enables continuous wave energy harvestingand self-powered marine environment monitoring under variousconditions, including temperature, humidity, and light intensity. The binary immiscible liquids within the LS-TENG’s innersoft balloon create dynamic, and self-adjustable L-L contact interfaces, significantly increasing the L-L contact area andenhancing L-L contact electrification (CE). The unique self-adaptive, soft S-S contact increases the S-S contact areacompared to traditional hard point contact, better adapting to the irregular movements of waves and promoting efficient S-SCE. The LS-TENG achieves highly efficient wave energy harvesting by coupling L-L and S-S CE. Furthermore, the uniquesoft contact design protects the S-S interfaces from mechanical wear and damage during long-term work. The LS-TENG’snovel structure provides an innovative and effective way for water wave energy harvesting.

Subretinal fibrosis is the end-stage sequelae of neovascular age-related macular *** causes local damage to photoreceptors,retinal pigment epithelium,and choroidal vessels,which leads to permanent central vision loss of patients with neovascular age-related macular *** pathogenesis of subretinal fibrosis is complex,and the underlying mechanisms are largely ***,there are no effective treatment options.A thorough understanding of the pathogenesis of subretinal fibrosis and its related mechanisms is important to elucidate its complications and explore potential *** current article reviews several aspects of subretinal fibrosis,including the current understanding on the relationship between neovascular age-related macular degeneration and subretinal fibrosis;multimodal imaging techniques for subretinal fibrosis;animal models for studying subretinal fibrosis;cellular and non-cellular constituents of subretinal fibrosis;pathophysiological mechanisms involved in subretinal fibrosis,such as aging,infiltration of macrophages,different sources of mesenchymal transition to myofibroblast,and activation of complement system and immune cells;and several key molecules and signaling pathways participating in the pathogenesis of subretinal fibrosis,such as vascular endothelial growth factor,connective tissue growth factor,fibroblast growth factor 2,platelet-derived growth factor and platelet-derived growth factor receptor-β,transforming growth factor-βsignaling pathway,Wnt signaling pathway,and the axis of heat shock protein 70-Toll-like receptors 2/*** review will improve the understanding of the pathogenesis of subretinal fibrosis,allow the discovery of molecular targets,and explore potential treatments for the management of subretinal fibrosis.

Spraying Arginine at 5 Days before Harvest Delays Postharvest Broccoli Senescence via Nutrient Accumulation

To determine the effects of preharvest arginine spraying on the nutritional level of broccoli and the mechanism of action of arginine in improving the storage quality of broccoli,arginine spraying(5 mmol/L)was conducted at 0,1,3,and 5 days before *** appearance,respiration rate,mass-loss rate,electrolyte leakage,glucosinolate,ascorbic acid,total phenol,total flavonoid,total sugar and sucrose contents,and sucrose phosphate synthase(SPS),invertase(INV),sucrose synthase synthesis(SSS)and cleavage(SSC)activities of broccoli samples were observed after 0,2,4,6,8,and 10 days of *** results showed that spraying arginine at 5 days preharvest(5-ARG)helped to inhibit broccoli respiration during storage,delay electrolyte leakage,and maintain broccoli ***,during the growth stage,total sugar accumulation was higher in the 5-ARG *** addition,during the storage period,sucrose synthesis was accelerated,while sucrose cleavage was inhibited,resulting in more sucrose retention in postharvest *** conclusion,5-ARG resulted in the accumulation of more nutrients during the growth process and effectively delayed the quality decline during storage,thereby prolonging the shelf life of ***,this study provides a theoretical basis for improving postharvest storage characteristics of broccoli through preharvest treatments.

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of acupuncture that reinforces the spleen to strengthen the lung in patients with stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).METHODS:This was a randomized,open-controlled trial in which the acupuncturist and the participants were not blinded,but the outcome evalu-ators and data analysts were ***-hundred-and-two patients with stable COPD were randomly divided into two groups in a 1∶1 *** acupuncture group received 30-minute sessions of acupuncture therapy at the same acupoints three times weekly for 6 weeks in addition to routine conventional Western Medicine treatment;the control group received routine conventional Western Medicine treatment *** primary outcome was the Borg scale score,which was assessed immediately after the 6-minute walk *** secondary outcomes were the 6-minute walk distance,lung function,and oxygen *** were obtained at baseline and after 6 weeks of ***:After 6 weeks of treatment,the Borg scale score in the acupuncture group was significantly better than that in the control group(2.02±0.71 versus 5.01±0.34,P<0.05).Furthermore,the post-treatment improvements in the 6-minute walk distance,lung function,and oxygen saturation were significantly greater in the acupuncture group than in the control group,showing that the acupuncture group had better exercise ***:The findings suggest that acupuncture that aims to reinforce the spleen to strengthen the lung is a safe and effective adjuvant therapy that effectively improves the exercise capacity of patients with stable COPD.

Recently,internet stimulates the explosive progress of knowledge discovery in big volume data resource,to dig the valuable and hidden rules by ***,the wireless channel measurement data reveals big volume feature,considering the massive antennas,huge bandwidth and versatile application *** article firstly presents a comprehensive survey of channel measurement and modeling research for mobile communication,especially for 5th Generation(5G) and *** the big data research progress,then a cluster-nuclei based model is proposed,which takes advantages of both the stochastical model and deterministic *** novel model has low complexity with the limited number of cluster-nuclei while the cluster-nuclei has the physical mapping to real propagation *** the channel properties variation principles with antenna size,frequency,mobility and scenario dug from the channel data,the proposed model can be expanded in versatile application to support future mobile research.
