Preparation of high-purity fluorite and nanoscale calcium carbonate from low-grade fluorite

Flotation separation of calcite from fluorite is a challenge on low-grade fluorite flotation that limits the reco.ery and purity of fluorite co.centrate.A new acid leaching–flotation process for fluorite is proposed in this *** innovative process raised the fluor-ite’s grade to 97.26wt%while producing nanoscale calcium carbonate from its leachate,which co.tained plenty of calcium *** the production of nanoscale calcium carbonate,the impacts of co.centration,temperature,and titration rate were *** modifying the process co.ditions and utilizing crystal co.ditioning agents,calcite-type and amorphous calcium carbonates with co.responding particle sizes of 1.823 and 1.511μm were *** influence of the impurity ions Mn^(2+),Mg^(2+),and Fe^(3+)was demonstrated to reduce the particle size of nanoscale calcium carbonate and make crystal shape easier to manage in the fluorite leach solution system co.pared with the calcium chloride *** co.bination of the acid leaching–flotation process and the nanoscale calcium carbonate preparation method improved the grade of fluorite while reco.ering calcite resources,thus presenting a novel idea for the effective and clean usage of low-quality fluorite resources with embedded microfine particles.

Fast Segmentation Method of Sonar Images for Jacket Installation Environment

It has remained a hard nut for years to segment sonar images of jacket installation environment,most of which are noisy images with inevitable blur after noise *** the purpose of solutions to this problem,a fast segmen-tation algorithm is proposed on the basis of the gray value characteristics of sonar *** algorithm is endowed with the advantage in no need of segmentation *** realize this goal,we follow the undermentioned steps:ﬁrst,calcu-late the gray matrix of the fuzzy image *** adjusting the gray value,the image is divided into three regions:background region,buffer region and target ***ﬁltering,we reset the pixels with gray value lower than 255 to binarize images and eliminate most ***,the remaining noise is removed by morphological *** simulation results of several sonar images show that the algorithm can segment the fuzzy sonar images quickly and ***,the stable and feasible method is testiﬁed.

Umbilical Cable Reco.ery Load Analysis

Umbilical cable is a kind of integrated subsea cable widely used in the exploration and exploitation of oil and gas field. The severe ocean environment makes great challenges to umbilical maintenance and repair work. Damaged umbilical is usually reco.ered for the regular operation of the offshore production system. Analysis on cables in essence is a two-point boundary problem. The tension load at the mudline must be known first, and then the reco.ery load and reco.ery angle on the vessel can be solved by use of catenary equation. The reco.ery analysis also involves umbilical- soil interaction and beco.es more co.plicated. Calculation methods for reco.ery load of the exposed and buried umbilical are established and the relationship between the position of touch down point and the reco.ery load as well as the reco.ery angle and reco.ery load are analyzed. The analysis results provide a theoretical reference for offshore on-deck operation.
