This review highlights the key role that mycorrhizal fungi play in making phosphorus(Pi)more available to plants,including pathways of phosphorus absorption,phosphate transporters and plant-mycorrhizal fungus symbiosis,especially in conditions where the level of inorganic phosphorus(Pi)in the soil is *** fungi colonization involves a series of signaling where the plant root exudates strigolactones,while the mycorrhizal fungi release a mixture of chito-oligosaccharides and liposaccharides,that activate the symbiosis process through gene signaling pathways,and contact between the hyphae and the *** the symbiosis is established,the extraradical mycelium acts as an extension of the roots and increases the absorption of nutrients,particularly phosphorus by the phosphate *** then moves along the hyphae to the plant root/fungus *** transfer of Pi occurs in the apoplectic space;in the case of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi,Pi is discharged from the arbuscular to the plant’s root symplasm,in the membrane that surrounds the *** is then absorbed through the plant periarbuscular membrane by plant phosphate ***,plants can acquire Pi from soil as a direct absorption *** a result of this review,several genes that codify for high-affinity Pi transporters were *** plants,the main family is Pht1 although it is possible to find others such as Pht2,Pht3,Pho1 and *** in plants,mycorrhizal fungi have genes belonging to the Pht1 *** arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi we found L1PT1,GiPT,MtPT1,MtPT2,MtPT4,HvPT8,ZmPht1,TaPTH1.2,GmosPT and ***1,HcPT2 and BePT have been characterized in ectomycorrhizal *** gene has a different way of expressing *** this review,we present diagrams of the symbiotic relationship between mycorrhizal fungi and the *** knowledge allows us to design solutions to regional problems such as food production in soils with low levels of Pi.

BACKGROUND dental fluorosis is caused by excessive fluoride ingestion during tooth *** a consequence,there is a higher porosity on the enamel surface,which causes an opaque *** The aim of this study was to identify a dental intervention to improve the smile in patients with tooth *** aims were to relate the stain size on fluorotic teeth with the effectiveness of stain removal,enamel loss and procedure time using a manual microabrasion technique with 16%hydrochloric acid(HCL).METHODS An experimental study was carried out on 84 fluorotic teeth in 57 adolescent patients,33 females and 24 males,with moderate to severe *** means,standard deviations and percentages were analyzed using nonparametric statistics and ArchiCAD 15 software was used for the variables including stain size and effectiveness of stain *** The average enamel loss was 234μm and was significantly related to the procedure time categorized as 1-4 min and 4.01-6 min,resulting in a P>*** microabrasion technique using 16%HCL was effective in 90.6%of patients and was applied manually on superficial stains in moderate and severe *** time was less than 6 min and enamel loss was within the acceptable *** Microabrasion is a first-line treatment;however,the clinician should measure the average enamel loss to ensure that it is within the approximate range of 250μm in order to avoid restorative treatment.

Antibiotics are widely used in fire blight management programs,yet there are no studies that demonstrate the evaluation of their efficacy in ***,the present study was conducted to investigate the effects of the active ingredients in five commercial products(Kasumin■2L,Agrygent Plus■,Agricultural Terramycin■,Agrimicin100,and Actigard■)on fire blight suppression,and fruit yield and quality of apple(Malus domestica Borkh.)*** *** experiment was conducted in a commercial orchard using a completely randomized block design,with six treatments:(1)Oxytetracycline[Ox],110 mg L^(−1);(2)Kasugamycin[Kas],4.7 mL L^(−1);(3)Oxytetracycline+Gentamicin[Ox+Gen],48 mg L^(−1)+12 mg L^(−1);(4)Streptomycin+Oxytetracycline[Str+Ox],90 mg L^(−1)+9 mg L^(−1);(5)Acibenzolar-S-methyl[ASM],70 mg L^(−1);and(6)Control,only water,with four replications,and three 11-year-old trees as an experimental *** of infection including flowers,shoots and fruits,yield and fruit quality were *** treatments suppressed infection in flowers,shoots,and *** provided the highest levels of reduction of flower and shoot infection,while Kas had the least effect on the reduction of infection in these *** Ox+Gen treatment had the greatest suppression of fruit infection,and the best results on fruit yield and quality,followed by Ox and *** is the first study conducted to evaluate the efficacy of the active ingredients of five commercial products used for the management of fire blight in apple trees in Mexico.

Objective:To determine the extraction suitable conditions of total phenolic content(TPC) by heat-reflux system,antioxidant activities and HPLC characterization of the aqueous-ethanolic extracts of Jatropha dioica(***)(Dragon's blood).Flourensia cernua(***)(Tar bush).Eucalyptus camaldulensis(***)(Eucalyptus) and Turnera diffusa(***)(Damiana).Methods:TPC was evaluated by the well-known colorimetric assay using FolinCiocalteu *** antioxidant activities were assayed by three methods based on scavenging of DPPH,ABTS and by lipid oxidation *** chemical composition of the extracts obtained was subject to HPLC ***:TPC in the plant extracts ranged from 2.3 to14.12 mg gallic acid equivalents/g for *** and ***,*** plant extracts of ***,*** and *** showed similar strong antioxidant activities on scavenging of DPPH and lipid oxidation *** contrast,*** extracts had lowest potential antioxidant in three assays *** assay showed the presence of several phenolic compounds in the extracts ***:The results obtained suggest that ***,*** and *** are potential sources to obtain bioactive phenolic compounds with high antioxidant properties which can be used in the factories as antioxidant agents or for treatments in diseases.

There are documentary records referring to paclobutrazol(PBZ)as a growth bioregulator that inhibits the gibberellin synthesis and its application increases yields in fruit and vegetable crop *** agronomic management includes it as an emerging technology to reduce vigour,promote flower induction and flower development in fruit trees with increased economic *** use is banned in some countries because of concerns about residues that can cause harmful effects on the ***,the aim of this article was to collect,analyse and summarise relevant information on the use of PBZ in fruit tree production and its possible risks to the *** results obtained indicated that the application of PBZ can be effective in solving some problems related to flowering if it is applied in the right amount and at the right ***,it is necessary to elucidate the physiological processes with which it is associated and its response to be taken into account to increase *** is currently used in fruit trees such as mango,lime,apple and guava,increasing their ***,some studies have shown its residual effect on the ***,PBZ is a viable strategy,because it presents a series of advantages in the production of fruit ***,it is vital to generate protocols that seek its regulation with a rational and sustainable approach.

Phenolic compounds are related to high biological activity,avoiding oxidation in food and human *** are by-products derived from the pecan nut processing that contain important amounts of phenols which biological activity must be *** research aimed to evaluate the antioxidant(DPPH,ABTS,FRAP and hemolysis)and anti-inflammatory activities of shell extracts from pecan nuts harvested during the crop production cycle 2018 and 2019,as well as the in vitro digestibility of their phenolic compounds,including *** showed that extracts from the crop production cycle 2018 obtained the highest yield,while those from 2019 contained the highest concentration of phenolic compounds,flavonoids and antioxidant capacity determined by DPPH(22.96 mmol ET),ABTS(91.55 mmol ET)and inhibition of hemolysis(92.12%).The anti-inflammatory activity exhibited an inhibition of the elastase enzyme up to 50 min and the bioaccessibility of phenolic compounds reached up to 32%.These results showed that pecan nutshell extracts are an important source of biologically active compounds,thus,they are suitable to be used as commodities in different fields such as agricultural,food and pharmaceutical *** studies must be carried out in order to elucidate the activity of nutshell extracts within in vivo systems.

This review provides a recompilation of the most important and recent strategies employed to increase the efficiency of metal-organic framework(MOF)-based systems toward the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution(PHE)reaction through specific strategies:tailoring the photocatalytic activity of bare MOFs and guest@MOF composites,formation of heterojunctions based on MOFs and various photocatalysts,and inorganic photocatalysts derived from *** to the data reported in this mini-review,the most effective strategy to improve the PHE of MOFs relies on modifying the linkers with new secondary building units(SBUs).Although several reviews have investigated the photocatalytic activity of MOFs from a general point of view,many of these studies relate this activity to the physicochemical and catalytic properties of ***,they did not consider the interactions between the components of the photocatalytic *** study highlights the effects of strength of the supramolecular interactions on the photocatalytic performance of bare and MOF-based materials during PHE.A thorough review and comparison of the results established that metal-nanoparticle@MOF composites have weak van der Waals forces between components,whereas heterostructures only interact with MOFs at the surface of bare *** material derivatives from MOFs,we found that pyrolysis destroyed some beneficial properties of MOFs for ***,we conclude that adding SBUs to organic linkers is the most efficient strategy to perform the PHE because the SBUs added to the MOFs promote synergy between the two materials through strong coordination bonds.

This study combines the thermodynamic analysis of a polygeneration system along with the numerical modelling of the thermal behavior of geothermal reservoirs in Mexico to exploit their *** reservoir was modeled as a porous medium assuming a five-spot well configuration and local thermal *** heat conduction-convection along with the Laplace equations were solved to compute temperature distributions,the useful life and the optimum distance between injection-extraction *** predicted temperature and pressure of the geothermal fluid at the outlet of the reservoir were exploited in the polygeneration system consisting of:(1)a Rankine cycle,(2)an absorption refrigeration cycle,and(3)a heat *** developed approach allows calculating both the optimal distance between injection-extraction wells and the global(utilization)efficiency of six arrangements(each composed by a reservoir connected to a polygeneration system)by assuming that reservoirs have a lifespan of 30 *** also show that:(a)due to the low efficiency of the Rankine cycle,very little thermal energy is converted into electrical one;(b)not only the temperature and the size are important when evaluating the power production performance of reservoirs,but also the permeability plays a fundamental role;(c)the first law efficiency of the polygeneration system ranges from 41.9%to 43.7%;(d)the utilization efficiency of the six arrangements lies in the range between 25.8%and 31%.

Using the transfer matrix method we calculate the frequency dependence of the transmission of longitudinal elastic waves for a layered structure where the specific acoustic impedance of the layers with odd numbering follows a Gaussian distribution, while the inserted even layers have the same impedance as the propagation medium. The structure presents intervals of low-pass, band-stop, and band-pass. The characteristics of the bands depend on the number of layers, on the contrast between the maximum and minimum impedances of the structure, and on the ratio of the width of the inserted layers to the width of the layers with a Gaussian distribution of impedances.
