In this paper, a multi-compartment 0D model of the blood flow is considered to study the vessel abnormalities (stenoses and aneurysms) in the human systemic circulation (SC). In the complete SC, different levels of stenosis and aneurysms are artificially created by decreasing and increasing the vessel diameters respectively and their effects on pressure and flow are studied using sensitivity analysis (SA). Normalized local sensitivity analysis (LSA) is used to study the impact of stenosis and aneurysms on pressure and flow wave pattern. Furthermore, global sensitivity analysis (GSA), Sobol's method is used to quantify the overall influence of stenoses and aneurysms in the complete SC. The results of global sensitivity analysis revealed that the impact of both stenoses and aneurysms is strong within the individual structures (arm. legs, carotid bifurcation, aorta), while, aortic stenoses and aneurysms have effect on almost all downstream nodes. Moreover, the study could be useful for medical doctors, teachers and students to observe the hemodynamical changes in the SC with respect to vessel abnormalities, which could further help in making any clinical decision for patients having different levels of vessel abnormalities in any part or structure of the SC.

Let S be an inverse AG-groupoid （Abel-Grassmann groupoid） and define a relation γ on S by aγb if and only if there exist some positive integers n and m such that bm∈ （Sa）S and an∈ （Sb）S. We prove that S/γ is a maximal semilattice homomorphic image of S. Thus, every inverse AG-groupoid S is uniquely expressible as a semilattice Y of some Archimedean inverse AG-groupoids Sα （α∈ Y）. Our result can be regarded as an analogy of the well known Clifford theorem in semigroups for AG-groupoids.

A structural interpretation of the Ziarat block in the Balochistan region （a part of the Suleiman Fold and Thrust Belt） has been carried out using seismic and seismological data. Seismic data consists of nine 2.5D pre-stack migrated seismic lines, whereas the seismological data covers the Fault Plane Solution and source parameters. Structural interpretation describes two broad fault sets of fore and back thrusts in the study area that have resulted in the development of pop-up structures, accountable for the structural traps and seismicity pattern in terms of seismic hazard. Seismic interpretation includes time and depth contour maps of the Dungan Formation and Ranikot group, while seismological interpretation includes Fault Plane Solution, that is correlated with a geological and structural map of the area for the interpretation of the nature of the subsurface faults. Principal stresses are also estimated for the Ranikot group and Dungan Formation. In order to calculate anisotropic elastic properties, the parameters of the rock strength of the formations are first determined from seismic data, along with the dominant stresses （vertical, minimum horizontal, and maximum horizontal）. The differential ratio of the maximum and minimum horizontal stresses is obtained to indicate optimal zones for hydraulic fracturing, and to assess the potential for geothermal energy reservoir prospect generation. The stress maps indicate high values towards the deeper part of the horizon, and low towards the shallower part, attributed to the lithological and structural variation in the area. Outcomes of structural interpretation indicate a good correlation of structure and tectonics from both seismological and seismic methods.

In this paper coset diagrams, propounded by Higman, are used to investigate the behavior of elements as words in orbits of the action of the Picard group F = PSL（2, Z[i]） on Q（i, √3）. Graphical interpretation of amalgamation of the components of F is also given. Some elements a＋b√3/c of Q（i, √3） and their conjugates a-b√3/c a c over Q（i） have different signs in the orbits of the biquadratic field Q（i, √3） when acted upon by F. Such real quadratic irrational numbers are called ambiguous numbers. It is shown that ambiguous numbers in these coset diagrams form a unique pattern. It is proved that there are a finite number of ambiguous numbers in an orbit Fa, and they form a closed path which is the only closed path in the orbit Гa. We also devise a procedure to obtain ambiguous numbers of the form a-b√3/c, where b is a positive integer.

Low power and real time very large scale integration （VLSI） architectures of motion estimation （ME） algorithms for mobile devices and applications are presented. The power reduction is achieved by devising a novel correction recovery mechanism based on algorithms which allow the use of reduced bit sum of absolute difference （RBSAD） metric for calculating matching error and conversion to full resolution sum of absolute difference （SAD） metric whenever necessary. Parallel and pipelined architectures for high throughput of full search ME corresponding to both the full resolution SAD and the generalized RBSAD algorithm are synthe- sized using Xilinx Synthesis Tools （XST）, where the ME designs based on reduced bit （RB） algorithms demonstrate the reduction in power consumption up to 45% and/or the reduction in area up to 38%.

A heuristic technique is developed for a nonlinear magnetohydrodynamics （MHD） Jeffery-Hamel problem with the help of the feed-forward artificial neural net- work （ANN） optimized with the genetic algorithm （GA） and the sequential quadratic programming （SQP） method. The twodimensional （2D） MHD Jeffery-Hamel problem is transformed into a higher order boundary value problem （BVP） of ordinary differential equations （ODEs）. The mathematical model of the transformed BVP is formulated with the ANN in an unsupervised manner. The training of the weights of the ANN is carried out with the evolutionary calculation based on the GA hybridized with the SQP method for the rapid local convergence. The proposed scheme is evaluated on the variants of the Jeffery-Hamel flow by varying the Reynold number, the Hartmann number, and the an- gles of the walls. A large number of simulations are performed with an extensive analysis to validate the accuracy, convergence, and effectiveness of the scheme. The comparison of the standard numerical solution and the analytic solution establishes the correctness of the proposed designed methodologies.

We report the sudden appearance of distillability between two statistically independent reservoirs modelled as qutrit-qutrit systems. This feature of bipartite quantum systems is different from the previously observed phenomenon of entanglement sudden birth. It is found that the states of reservoirs first become bound entangled, thus exhibiting entanglement sudden birth, consequently followed by the sudden birth of distillability, and it is shown that whenever distillability is lost abruptly from principal system, it also necessarily appears abruptly among reservoirs＇ degrees of freedom. This surprising observation reflects yet another peculiarity of dynamical aspects of quantum entanglement.

The entropy squeezing of an atom with a k-photon in the Jaynes Cummings model is investigated. For comparison, we also study the corresponding variance squeezing and atomic inversion. Analytical results show that entropy squeezing is preferable to variance squeezing for zero atomic inversion. Moreover, for initial conditions of the system the relation between squeezing and photon transition number is also discussed. This provides a theoretical approach to finding out the optimal entropy squeezing.
