The Yinggehai Basin is a unique NNW-trending petroliferous basin in the northwestern South China *** paper mainly utilized stratigraphic,tectonic and seismic data by characterizing the geological structures and conducting the geo-mechanical analysis to study the formation,evolution and dynamics of the Yinggehai *** study indicates that the Ailaoshan-Truong Son extruded terrane is composed of multiple secondary extruded *** Red River fault zone,located within the Qiangtang-Simao-Yinggehai mantle flow channel and basin zone,experienced transform-type sinistral strike-slip motion before the basin forming stage and formed a NW-trending extruded mantle uplift,which activated the Yinggehai *** experiencing the rift depression,fault depression,and fault subsidence,the basin eventually formed large-scale,thick sedimentation features with ideal hydrocarbon-forming conditions at the end of the ***,the basin dynamically transformed and entered a period of tectonic superposition,reworking,and thermal *** of the NNW thrust sinistral strike-slip fault zone on the northern Hanoi sub-basin complicated the basin *** the Pliocene,the southern Yinggehai main basin has been transformed into an extensional dextral strike-slip environment that hosted numerous mud *** thin crust and high geothermal gradient provide favorable conditions for the large-scale accumulation of natural gas.

As part of their efforts to cope with climate change, many municipal governments have considered the improvement of urban resilience as an important strategy. In this study, we take the megacity of Beijing as an example and conduct a mixed-methods research using both qualitative and quantitative methods to explore linkage between resilience and development. First, based on expert consultation, we develop an analytical framework and propose reference indicators for measuring urban resilience. Second, we conduct an exploratory factor analysis to justify this analytical framework and rank the urban resilience index for 16 districts in Beijing. Results indicate that urban resilience at the district level is distinguished by the characteristics of the district's functional zones. This implies that the development focus of each district influences the driving factors of urban resilience. This article provides evidence that development and adaptation can be complementary. We showcase in Beijing that urban generic resilience is highly dependent on socio-economic development and urbanization, whereas specific resilience to climatic extremes can be attributed to natural endowment and environmental investment. In conclusion, using this study's findings as a guideline, mega-cities are urged to adopt development-oriented adaptation as a strategy of proactive risk planning in the context of rapid urbanization and global climate change in China.

Saltmarsh vegetation and social environment influence flexible seasonal vigilance strategies for two sympatric migratory curlew species in adjacent coastal habitats

Background:Animals need to adjust their vigilance strategies when foraging between physically contrasting veg-etated and non-vegetated *** habitats may pose a greater risk for some if vegetation characteristics function as a visual obstruction but benefit others if they serve as protective *** in group size,presence of similar species,along with variation in environmental conditions and anthropogenic disturbance can also influence vigilance ***:In this study,we quantified the vigilance behaviour of two large-bodied,sympatric migratory curlew species-Far Eastern Curlew(Numenius madagascariensis)and Eurasian Curlew(***)-in vegetated Suaeda salsa saltmarsh and non-vegetated mudflat habitat in Liaohekou National Nature Reserve,*** used linear mixed models to examine the effects of habitat type,season,tide time,flock size(conspecific and heterospecific),and human disturbance on curlew vigilance ***:Both species spent a higher percentage of time under visual obstruction in *** habitat compared to mudflat habitat but in response,only Far Eastern Curlew increased their percentage of vigilance time,indicating that visual obstruction in this habitat is only a concern for this *** was no evidence that *** vegetation served as a form of cryptic background colouration since neither species decreased their vigilance effect in *** habitat in spring compared to the autumn migration *** effect of curlew social environment(*** size)was habitat dependent since percentage of vigilance time by curlews in saltmarsh increased with both the number of individual curlews and number of other birds present,but not in mudflat ***:We conclude that both migratory curlew species exhibit a flexible vigilance adjustment strategy to cope with the different environmental and social conditions of adjacent and sharply contrasting coastal habitats,and that the trade-off between the ris

Establishment of an indicator framework for the transmission risk of the mountain-type zoonotic visceral leishmaniasis based on the Delphi-entropy weight method

Background: Visceral leishmaniasis (VL) is one of the most important neglected tropical diseases. Although VL was controlled in several regions of China during the last century, the mountain-type zoonotic visceral leishmaniasis (MT-ZVL) has reemerged in the hilly areas of China in recent decades. The purpose of this study was to construct an indicator framework for assessing the risk of the MT-ZVL in China, and to provide guidance for preventing ***: Based on a literature review and expert interview, a 3-level indicator framework was initially established in November 2021, and 28 experts were selected to perform two rounds of consultation using the Delphi method. The comprehensive weight of the tertiary indicators was determined by the Delphi and the entropy weight ***: Two rounds of Delphi consultation were conducted. Four primary indicators, 11 secondary indicators, and 35 tertiary indicators were identified. The Delphi-entropy weight method was performed to calculate the comprehensive weight of the tertiary indicators. The normalized weights of the primary indicators were 0.268, 0.261, 0.242, and 0.229, respectively, for biological factors, interventions, environmental factors, and social factors. The normalized weights of the top four secondary indicators were 0.122, 0.120, 0.098, and 0.096, respectively, for climatic features, geographical features, sandflies, and dogs. Among the tertiary indicators, the top four normalized comprehensive weights were the population density of sandflies (0.076), topography (0.057), the population density of dogs, including tethering (0.056), and use of bed nets or other protective measures (0.056).Conclusions: An indicator framework of transmission risk assessment for MT-ZVL was established using the Delphientropy weight method. The framework provides a practical tool to evaluate transmission risk in endemic areas.
