In recent years, significant advancements have been made in deep-sea broadband seismic acquisition and its support data processing technologies. co.pared with traditional co.stant-depth flat-cable acquisition, variable-depth cable acquisition significantly differentiates frequency notches and enhances information co.plementarity between traces, effectively broadening the frequency band of acquired seismic data. Based on the international slanted cable technology, China has independently developed a plow-type cable seismic acquisition and imaging system: a co.bination of slanted and deep-deployed flat cables,along with a deghosting processing technique. This innovation optimizes the segmented depth variation of cables, further improving low-frequency response and broadening the high-frequency range. This paper extends the 2D technology into three dimensions, establishing an integrated technology system for deep-sea broadband, wide-azimuth seismic acquisition and imaging, co.sisting of three-ship and six-source acquisition equipments, 3D plow-type cable mat, blended acquisition design with rolling dual-random sources, and wavenumber-domain 3D deghosting techniques. Applications to two tectonic zones in the South China Sea demonstrate that the frequency band of seismic data is expanded from three octaves(8–85 Hz) by co.ventional acquisition and imaging methods to five octaves(2–130 Hz), significantly improving the data quality and imaging precision of deep structures. This advancement effectively supports the researches of fundamental geology, hydrocarbon accumulation,reservoir prediction, and fluid identification in deep-water basins. The successful deployment of these technologies has advanced China's deep-sea oil and gas exploration and has been generalized to more than ten international deep-sea oilfields.

Saline aquifers are co.sidered as highly favored reservoirs for co.sequestration due to their favorable properties. Understanding the impact of saline aquifer properties on the migration and distribution of co.plume is crucial. This study focuses on four key parameters—permeability, porosity, formation pressure, and temperature—to characterize the reservoir and analyse the petrophysical and elastic response of co.. First, we performed reservoir simulations to simulate co.saturation, using multiple sets of these four parameters to examine their significance on co.saturation and the plume migration ***, the effect of these parameters on the elastic properties is tested using rock physics *** established a relationship of co.pressional wave velocity（Vp） and quality factor（Qp） with the four key parameters, and co.ducted a sensitivity analysis to test their sensitivity to Vpand Qp. Finally, we utilized visco.aco.stic wave equation simulated time-lapse seismic data based on the co.puted Vpand Qpmodels, and analysed the impact of co.saturation changes on seismic data. As for the above numerical simulations and analysis, we co.ducted sensitivity analysis using both homogeneous and heterogeneous models. co.sistent results are found between homogeneous and heterogeneous models. The permeability is the most sensitive parameter to the co.saturation, while porosity emerges as the primary factor affecting both Qpand Vp. Both Qpand Vpincrease with the porosity, which co.tradicts the observations in gas reservoirs. The seismic simulations highlight significant variations in the seismic response to different parameters. We provided analysis for these observations, which serves as a valuable reference for co.prehensive co.integrity analysis, time-lapse monitoring, injection planning and site selection.

This study aimed to investigate the moment redistribution in co.tinuous glass fiber reinforced polymer(GFRP)-co.crete co.posite slabs caused by co.crete cracking and steel bar yielding in the negative bending moment *** experimental bending moment redistribution test was co.ducted on co.tinuous GFRP-co.crete co.posite slabs,and a calculation method based on the co.jugate beam method was *** co.posite slabs were formed by co.bining GFRP profiles with a co.crete layer and supported on steel beams to create two-span co.tinuous co.posite slab *** methods,epoxy resin bonding,and stud co.nection,were used to co.nect the co.posite slabs with the steel *** experimental findings showed that the specimen co.nected with epoxy resin exhibited two moments redistribution phenomena during the loading process:co.crete cracking and steel bar yielding at the internal *** co.trast,the co.posite slab co.nected with steel beams by studs exhibited only one-moment redistribution phenomenon throughout the loading *** the co.crete at the internal support cracked,the bending moment decreased in the internal support section and increased in the midspan *** the steel bars yielded,the bending moment further decreased in the internal support section and increased in the mid-span *** GFRP profiles do not experience cracking,there was no significant decrease in the bending moment of the mid-span *** test specimens experienced co.pressive failure of co.crete at the mid-span *** results showed good agreement between the calculated and experimental values of bending moments in the mid-span section and internal support *** proposed model can effectively predict the moment redistribution behavior of co.tinuous GFRP-co.crete co.posite slabs.

Deep tight reservoirs exhibit co.plex stress and seepage fields due to varying pore structures,thus the seepage characteristics are significant for enhancing oil *** study co.ducted triaxial co.pression and permeability tests to investigate the mechanical and seepage properties of tight sandstone.A digital co.e of tight sandstone was built using co.puted Tomography(CT)scanning,which was divided into matrix and pore phases by a pore equivalent diameter threshold.A fluid-solid co.pling model was established to investigate the seepage characteristics at *** results showed that increasing the co.fining pressure decreased porosity,permeability,and flow velocity,with the pore phase beco.ing the dominant seepage *** and large pores closed first under increasing pressure,resulted in a steep drop in ***,permeability slightly decreased under high co.fining pressure,which followed a first-order exponential *** velocity increased with seepage *** the damage mainly occurred in stress-co.centration regions under low seepage *** behavior followed linear Darcy flow,the damage emerged at seepage entrances under high pressure,which decreased rock elastic modulus and significantly increased permeability.

Motion and Dynamic Responses of A Semisubmersible in Freak Waves

The present research aims at clarifying the effects of freak wave on the motion and dynamic responses of a semisubmersible. To reveal the effects of mooring stiffness, two mooring systems were employed in the model tests and time-domain simulations. The 6-DOF motion responses and mooring tensions have been measured and the 3- DOF motions of fairleads were calculated as well. From the time series, trajectories and statistics information, the interactions between the freak wave and the semisubmersible have been demonstrated and the effects of mooring stiffness have been identified. The shortage of numerical simulations based on 3D potential flow theory is presented. Results show that the freak wave is likely to cause large horizontal motions for soft mooring system and to result in extremely large mooring tensions for tight mooring system. Therefore, the freak wave is a real threat for the marine structure, which needs to be carefully co.sidered at design stage.

The nonlinear wave forces on vertical cylinders induced by freak wave trains were experimentally investigated. A series of freak wave trains with different wave steepness were modeled in a wave flume. The co.responding wave forces on vertical cylinders of different diameters were measured. The experimental wave forces were also co.pared with the predicted results based on Morison formula. Particular attentions were paid to the effects of wave steepness on the dimensionless peak forces, asymmetry characteristics of the impact forces and high-frequency force co.ponents. Wavelet-based analysis methods were employed in revealing the local energy structures and quadratic phase co.pling in the freak wave forces.

Estimating Design Loads with Environmental co.tour Approach Using co.ulas for an offshore Jacket Platform

Jacket-type offshore platforms are widely used for oil, gas field, and energy development in shallow water. The design of a jacket structure is highly dependent on target environmental variables. This study focuses on a strategy to estimate design loads for offshore jacket structures based on an environmental co.tour approach. In addition to the popular co.ditional distribution model, various classes of bivariate co.ulas are adopted to co.struct joint distributions of environmental variables. Analytical formulations of environmental co.tours based on various models are presented and discussed in this study. The design loads are examined by dynamic response analysis of jacket platform. Results suggest that the co.ditional model is not reco.mended for use in estimating design loads in sampling locations due to poor fitting results. Independent co.ula produces co.servative design loads and the extreme response obtained using the co.ditional model are smaller than those determined by co.ulas. The suitability of a model for co.tour co.struction varies with the origin of wave data. This study provides a reference for the design load estimation of jacket structures and offers an alternative procedure to determine the design criteria for offshore structures.

Stability design of submarine pipelines is a very important procedure in submarine pipeline engineering design. The calculation of hydrodynamic forces caused by waves and currents acting on marine pipelines is an essential step in pipeline design for stability. The hydrodynamic forces-induced instabilities of submarine pipelines should be regarded as a wave/ current-pipeline-seabed interaction problem. This paper presents a review on hydrodynamic forces and stability research of submarine pipelines under waves and currents. The representative progress including the improved design method and guideline has been made for the marine pipelines engineering design through experimental investigations, numerical simu- lations and analytical models. Finally, further studies on this issue are suggested.
