P[3]rotavirus(RV)has been identified in many species,including human,simian,dog,and *** glycans,including sialic acid,histo-blood group antigens(HBGAs)are reported as RV attachment *** glycan binding specificity of different P[3]RV VP8*s were investigated in this *** HCR3 A and dog P[3]RV VP8*s recognized glycans with terminal sialic acid and hemagglutinated the red blood cells,while bat P[3]VP8*showed neither binding to glycans nor ***,the bat P[3]VP8*mutant of C189 Y obtained the ability to hemagglutinate the red blood cells,while human P[3]HCR3 A/M2-102 mutants of Y189 C lost the *** alignment and structural analysis indicated that residue 189 played an important role in the ligand recognition and may contribute to the cross-species *** superimposition exhibited that bat P[3]VP8*model was quite different from the simian P[3]Rhesus rotavirus(RRV)P[3]VP8*,indicating that bat P[3]RV was relatively distinct and partially contributed to the no binding to tested *** results promote our understanding of P[3]VP8*/glycans interactions and the potential transmission of bat/human P[3]RVs,offering more insight into the RV infection and prevalence.

On December 29,2019,the health authorities in Hubei Province and Wuhan City received a report of a cluster of pneumonia cases of unknown etiology from a local hospital,and all four patients were employees of the Wuhan Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market(HN market for short)(1).By January 8,2020,Chinese authorities had identified a new virus 2019 novel coronavirus(2019-nCoV)linked with the outbreak of disease,which has been named novel coronavirusinfected pneumonia(NCIP)(2).On 15 January,the National Health Commission(NHC)issued guidelines for the diagnosis,treatment,prevention,and control of *** guidelines directed case monitoring,reporting,diagnosis,treatment,management,close contact management,and laboratory testing.

Expression of pIgR in the tracheal mucosa of SHIV/SIV-infected rhesus macaques

Polymeric immunoglobulin receptors（pIgR） are key participants in the formation and secretion of secretory Ig A（S-Ig A）, which is critical for the prevention of microbial infection and colonization in the respiratory system. Although increased respiratory colonization and infections are common in HIV/AIDS, little is known about the expression of pIgR in the airway mucosa of these patients. To address this, the expression levels of pIgR in the tracheal mucosa and lungs of SHIV/SIV-infected rhesus macaques were examined by real-time RTPCR and confocal microscopy. We found that the levels of both PIGR m RNA and pIgR immunoreactivity were lower in the tracheal mucosa of SHIV/SIVinfected rhesus macaques than that in non-infected rhesus macaques, and the difference in pIgR immunoreactivity was statistically significant. IL-17 A, which enhances pIgR expression, was also changed in the same direction as that of pIgR. In contrast to changes in the tracheal mucosa, pIgR and IL-17 A levels were higher in the lungs of infected rhesus macaques. These results indicated abnormal pIgR expression in SHIV/SIV, and by extension HIV infections, which might partially result from IL-17 A alterations and might contribute to the increased microbial colonization and infection related to pulmonary complications in HIV/AIDS.
