Green and economical cO_(2)utilization is significant for cO_(2)emission reduction and energy ***,the 1D Mo_(2)c nanowires with dominant(101)crystal surfaces were modified by the deposition of atomic functional components Rh and *** unmodifiedβMo_(2)c could only convert cO_(2)to methanol,the designed catalyst of k_(0.2)Rh_(0.2)/β-Mo_(2)c exhibited up to 72.1%of ethanol selectivity at 150℃.It was observed that the atomically dispersed Rh could form the bifunctional active centres with the active carrierβMo_(2)c with the synergistic effects to achieve highly specific controlled c–c *** promoting the cO_(2)adsorption and activation,the introduction of an alkali metal(k)mainly regulated the balanced performance of the two active centres,which in turn improved the hydrogenation ***,the controlled modification ofβMo_(2)c provides a new design strategy for the highly efficient,lowtemperature hydrogenation of cO_(2)to ethanol with single-atom catalysts,which provides an excellent example for the rational design of the complex catalysts.

AIM: To investigate the number of hypertensive patients, the optometrist is able to identify by routinely taking blood pressure(BP) measurements for patients in "at-risk" groups, and to sample patients’ opinions regarding in-office BP measurement. Many of the optometrists in Saudi Arabia practice in optical *** stores are wide spread, easily accessible and seldom need appointments. The expanding role of the optometrist as a primary health care provider(PHcP) and the increasing global prevalence of hypertension,highlight the need for an integrated approach towards detecting and monitoring ***: Automated BP measurements were made twice(during the same session) at five selected optometry practices using a validated BP monitor(Omron M6) to assess the number of patients with high BP(HBP)- in at-risk groups-visiting the eye clinic routinely. Prior to data collection, practitioners underwent a two-day training workshop by a cardiologist on hypertension and how to obtain accurate BP readings. A protocol for BP measurement was distributed and retained in all participating clinics. The general,,.,attitude towards cardiovascular health of 480 patients aged 37.2(±12.4)y and their opinion towards in-office BP measurement was assessed using a self-administered ***: A response rate of 83.6% was obtained for the survey. Ninety-three of the 443 patients(21.0%)tested for BP in this study had HBP. Of these,(62subjects) 67.7% were unaware of their HBP status. Thirty of the 105 subjects(28.6%) who had previously been diagnosed with HBP, still had HBP at the time of this study, and only 22(73.3%) of these patients were on medication. Also, only 25% of the diagnosed hypertensive patients owned a BP ***: Taking BP measurements in optometry practices, we were able to identify one previously undiagnosed patient with HBP for every 8 adults *** also identified 30 of 105 previously diagnosed patients whose BP was poorly controlled

An one-year of sampling aerosol program was carried out during the period of April 1995 to April 1996 at coastal region, cape D′Aguilar, in Hong kong. The trace element composition of aerosol particles(TSP and PM 10 ) were measured and analyzed by using the Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis(INAA) and Inductive couple Plasma-Mass Spectrometry(IcP-MS) techniques. The results showed that the polluted elements such as: V, Zn, As, Pb, cd, Sb, I, Se, Bi, with high enrichment factor(E.F) values, are derived from anthropogenic sources, while Sc, Al, Fe, Mn, Sm, La, Sr are less than 10 in E.F, these elements are related the crust and soil. The concentration of the trace elements are present seasonal variation i.e. summer low and winter high, whereas the V or noncrustal V(V *) present summer high and winter low, this phenomenon might be explained by local or regional oil combustion sources. Use three type of elemental ratio, e.g. La/Sm, Mn */V * and Bi/Al indicate that both TSP and PM 10 of La/Sm ratios are mainly related to soil and dust, Mn */V * are probably represent fossil combustion and Bi/Al are possibly associated with refuse incineration, ferromanganese alloys and aluminum production. The varimax rotation factor analysis for trace elements was performed. By means of the absolute principal component analysis(APcA) and multiple regression, the contribution of trace elements to possible sources and overall means of trace elements were estimated. The results showed that the present station is impacted by the anthropogenic species, although the quantities are different during the summertime and wintertime.

Effect of salinity on survival,feeding behavior and growth of juvenile swimming crab P ortunus trituberculatus was investigated under 5 salinity levels of 5,10,20,30 and 40. The results show that the crab juveniles fed 2 or 3 times at the salinity 20 and 30,each lasted for about 25 minutes,for a total feeding time of 73.2±22.65 minutes per day. At these salinities,there were significantly higher in the frequency of feeding and in total feeding time than those at lower salinities of 5 and 10. All crab juveniles moulted when reared at a salinity of 20 during the 5 days duration of the experiment,which is significantly higher than those at other salinities. All juveniles survived at salinity 20,and the survivorship was not significantly different from that at 30,but was signif icantly higher than those at other salinities. The crab juveniles reared at a salinity of 20 had the highest value of food ration of 0.190 8±0.011 3 g/g BW,average body weight gain of 0.796±0.128 g,gain rate of 87%–96%,and food conversion ratio of 1.20±0.09. There was no significant difference in the values found between 20 and 30 but these values were significantly lower than that at the other salinities( P> 0.05). Highest activities of digestive enzymes(Amylase,Protease,Lipase) and lowest activities of protective enzymes(SOD,PO,cAT) were also obtained on crab juveniles reared at salinity of 20.

The manganese(Ⅲ) acetate-mediated radical reaction of [60]fullerene (c60) with three carboxylic acids,that is,bromoacetic acid,3-chloropropionic acid,and 1-naphthylacetic acid,was investigated. The reaction of c60 with bromoacetic acid in the presence of 4-(dimethylamino)pyridine afforded the anticipated c60-fused lactone,while the reaction with 3-chloropropionic acid unexpectedly led to the formation of a novel c60-fused lactone with the loss of one molecule of Hcl. Interestingly,the reaction with 1-naphthylacetic acid under similar conditions gave both c60-fused lactone and 1,4-adduct,yet each of them could be selectively obtained by controlling reaction conditions. It was also observed that the c60-fused lactone bearing a bulky naphthyl group existed as two isomers.

A power-supply system was developed for Ohmic heating(OH)to double×10^(18)the amount of change magnetic flux in the primary central solenoid(cS)on the QUEST spherical *** power supplies are connected with stacks of insulated-gate bipolar transistors,and sequentially operated to generate positive and negative cS *** bipolar power-supply system is controlled via a field-programmable gate array,which guarantees the safety of the entire system *** new OH system,assisted by electron cyclotron heating,enables the stable generation of plasma currents exceeding 100 k ***,the achieved electron density over the wide range in the major radial direction exceeds the cut-off density for one of the highpower microwave sources in *** strategy yields target plasmas for future experiments with the electron Bernstein wave.

The principle of ptychography is applied in known plain text attack on the double random phase encoding （DRPE） system. We find that with several pairs of plain texts and cipher texts, the model of attack on DRPE can be converted to the model of ptyehographical imaging. Owing to the inherent merits of the ptyehographical imaging, the DRPE system can be breached totally in a fast and nearly perfect way, which is unavailable for currently existing attack methods. Further, since the decryption keys can be seen as an object to be imaged from the perspective of imaging, the ptychographical technique may be a kind of new direction to further analysis of the security of other encryption systems based on double random keys.

Highly toxic reactive oxygen species(ROS)induced apoptosis and ferroptosis have been considered as significant cell death pathways for cancer ***,insufficient amount of intracellular ROS extremely restricts the therapeutic *** this,we report a rationally designed nanocomposite(mUcc)with enhanced ROS generation ability,inducing the combination of apoptosis and ferroptosis through synergistic photodynamic therapy(PDT)and chemodynamic therapy(cDT).Under 808 nm near-infrared(NIR)light irradiation,photocatalytic reaction is triggered starting from the separation of electron-hole pairs on the surface of heterojunction(ceO_(2)/cuO),realizing improved ROS ***,mUcc served as Fenton-like agent exhibits considerable ability to generate highly toxic·OH under tumor microenvironment(TME).The boosted accumulation of ROS disrupts the redox balance within tumor cells and results in the integration of apoptosis and *** addition,mUcc shows satisfactory tumor targeting property benefiting from the cancer cell membrane functionalization under the guidance of magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)and NIR fluorescence *** intelligent mUcc with good biocompatibility and excellent antitumor response achieves efficient tumor elimination under synergistic PDT and *** work offers an elective approach for further development of ROS-based therapeutic nanoplatform in cancer therapy.
