This paper presents a comprehensive model for selecting optimal sites for geothermal heated greenhouses in the agricultural *** research involves two main components:assessing the geothermal energy resource using geological,geochemical and geophysical indicators;and developing a siting model based on fuzzy logic that considers technical,env.ronmental and socio-economic fac*** study focuses on East Azerbaijan province in Iran-a cold *** results indicate that~3.24%of the total area of the province is suitable for constructing geothermal greenhouses,resulting in potential savings of~148000 and 745978 m3 of natural gas in areas with high and very high suitability,respectively.

本研究旨在模拟不同狭窄程度和脉搏率的颈动脉搏动血流。采用流-固耦合(FSI)和任意拉格朗日-欧拉(ALE)方法研究了不同狭窄程度、脉搏率和动脉壁性质对周围流体的影响。分别应用Carreau-Yasuda非牛顿超弹性模型和修正Mooney-Rivin超弹性模型于具有非牛顿行为的血液和超弹性血管壁。结果得到血液的壁面径向位移、压力分布、轴向速度分布和壁面剪切应力。通过增加狭窄的严重程度,轴向速度、血压变化、最大壁面剪切应力和壁面径向位移均呈增长趋势。当脉率在狭窄程度为75%时,最大流量矩、壁面径向位移、压力、轴向速度和壁面剪应力的最大值均增大。此外,与弹性和刚性模型相比,将动脉壁视为超弹性模型,将其周围流体视为非牛顿和非定常,可以使模拟更加真实。在严重程度高达50%的狭窄中,红细胞受到轻微损害,而在严重程度为75%的狭窄中观察到溶血。通过改善动脉粥样硬化,弹性模量从500 k Pa提高到2 MPa,在60 bpm脉率和狭窄程度75%下,剪切应力最大值增长65%。与刚性和弹性动脉壁相比,动脉壁的超弹性模型导致较低的轴向速度、较低的血压、较低的剪切应力和较高的径向位移。

Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)-based control shows enhanced performance in the management of integrated energy systems when compared with Rule-Based Controllers(RBCs),but it still lacks scalab.lity and generalisation due to the necessity of using tailored models for the training *** Learning(TL)is a potential solution to address this ***,existing TL applications in building control have been mostly tested among buildings with similar features,not addressing the need to scale up advanced control in real-world scenarios with diverse energy *** paper assesses the performance of an online heterogeneous TL strategy,comparing it with RBC and offline and online DRL controllers in a simulation setup using EnergyPlus and *** study tests the transfer in both transductive and inductive settings of a DRL policy designed to manage a chiller coupled with a Thermal Energy Storage(TES).The control policy is pre-trained on a source building and transferred to various target buildings characterised by an integrated energy system including photovoltaic and battery energy storage systems,different building env.lope features,occupancy schedule and boundary conditions(e.g.,weather and price signal).The TL approach incorporates model slicing,imitation learning and fine-tuning to handle diverse state spaces and reward functions between source and target *** show that the proposed methodology leads to a reduction of 10% in electricity cost and between 10% and 40% in the mean value of the daily average temperature violation rate compared to RBC and online DRL ***,online TL maximises self-sufficiency and self-consumption by 9% and 11% with respect to ***,online TL achieves worse performance compared to offline DRL in either transductive or inductive ***,offline Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)agents should be trained at least for 15 episodes to reach the same level of performance as the online

Changing climate intensifies heat stress,resulting in a greater risk of workplace productivity decline in timber office buildings with low internal thermal *** impact of climate change induced heat exposure on indoor workplace productivity in timber office buildings has not been extensively ***,further investigation to reduce the work capacity decline towards the end of the century is ***,heat exposure in a net zero-carbon timber building near Brussels,Belgium,was evaluated using a reproducible comparative approach with different internal thermal mass *** analysis indicated that strategies with increased thermal mass were more effective in limiting the effects of heat exposure on workplace *** medium and high thermal mass strategies reduced workplace productivity loss to 0.1%in the current,0.3%and 0.2%in the midfuture,and 4.9%and 3.9%for future *** comparison,baseline with low thermal mass yielded a decline of 2.3%,3.3%,and 8.2%.The variation in maximum and minimum wet-bulb globe temperatures were also lower for medium and high thermal mass strategies than for low thermal mass *** study findings lead to the formulation of design guidelines,identification of research gaps,and recommendations for future work.

Advanced DriverAssistance Systems(ADAS)technologies can assist drivers or be part of automatic driving systems to support the driving process and improve the level of safety and comfort on the *** Sign Recognition System(TSRS)is one of themost important components *** the challengeswith TSRS is being able to recognize road signs with the highest accuracy and the shortest processing ***,this paper introduces a new real time methodology recognizing Speed Limit Signs based on a trio of developed ***,the Speed Limit Detection(SLD)module uses the Haar Cascade technique to generate a new SL detector in order to localize SL signs within captured ***,the Speed Limit Classification(SLC)module,featuring machine learning classifiers alongside a newly developed model called DeepSL,harnesses the power of a CNN architecture to extract intricate features from speed limit sign images,ensuring efficient and precise *** addition,a new Speed Limit Classifiers Fusion(SLCF)module has been developed by combining trained ML classifiers and the DeepSL model by using the Dempster-Shafer theory of belief functions and ensemble learning’s voting *** rigorous software and hardware validation processes,the proposedmethodology has achieved highly significant F1 scores of 99.98%and 99.96%for DS theory and the votingmethod,***,a prototype encompassing all components demonstrates outstanding reliability and efficacy,with processing times of 150 ms for the Raspberry Pi board and 81.5 ms for the Nano Jetson board,marking a significant advancement in TSRS technology.

Graphs that are used to model real-world entities with vertices and relationships among entities with edges,have proven to be a powerful tool for describing real-world problems in *** most real-world scenarios,entities and their relationships are subject to constant *** that record such changes are called dynamic *** recent years,the widespread application scenarios of dynamic graphs have stimulated extensive research on dynamic graph processing systems that continuously ingest graph updates and produce up-to-date graph analytics *** the scale of dynamic graphs becomes larger,higher performance requirements are demanded to dynamic graph processing *** the massive parallel processing power and high memory bandwidth,GPUs become mainstream vehicles to accelerate dynamic graph processing ***-based dynamic graph processing systems mainly address two challenges:maintaining the graph data when updates occur(i.e.,graph updating)and producing analytics results in time(i.e.,graph computing).In this paper,we survey GPU-based dynamic graph processing systems and review their methods on addressing both graph updating and graph *** comprehensively discuss existing dynamic graph processing systems on GPUs,we first introduce the terminologies of dynamic graph processing and then develop a taxonomy to describe the methods employed for graph updating and graph *** addition,we discuss the challenges and future research directions of dynamic graph processing on GPUs.

Container-based virtualization isbecoming increasingly popular in cloud computing due to its efficiency and *** isolation is a fundamental property of *** works have indicated weak resource isolation could cause significant performance degradation for containerized applications and enhanced resource ***,current studies have almost not discussed the isolation problems of page cache which is a key resource for *** leverage memory cgroup to control page cache ***,existing policy introduces two major problems in a container-based ***,containers can utilize more memory than limited by their cgroup,effectively breaking memory ***,the Os kernel has to evict page cache to make space for newly-arrived memory requests,slowing down containerized *** paper performs an empirical study of these problems and demonstrates the performance impacts on containerized *** we propose pCache(precise control of page cache)to address the problems by dividing page cache into private and shared and controlling both kinds of page cache separately and *** do so,pCache leverages two new technologies:fair account(f-account)and evict on demand(EoD).F-account splits the shared page cache charging based on per-container share to prevent containers from using memory for free,enhancing memory *** EoD reduces unnecessary page cache evictions to avoid the performance *** evaluation results demonstrate that our system can effectively enhance memory isolation for containers and achieve substantial performance improvement over the original page cache management policy.
