Electricity is now the major form of energy used in residential buildings and has seen a significant increase in usage over the past *** of the main features of electricity use in residential buildings is the diversity of total electricity consumption and use patterns among *** models may not be able to simulate and generate electricity use curves or reflect the variations *** fill this gap,this research simulates electricity use curves in residential buildings with a clustering-based probability distribution *** model extracts feature parameters to represent the electricity use level and patterns and then conducts a two-step cluster analysis to identify the distinctions of both electricity use levels and *** on the clustering results,probability distributions are fitted for all feature parameters within each *** model is then validated with three validation *** electricity consumption in households of the Jiangsu Province,China,was studied to test the performance of the ***,this paper discusses the application of this model under different spatial resolutions and analyzes the temporal-relevant model features.

Moisture and total sugar content are two important internal qualities of *** order to explore their correlation with external qualities,a novel method of moisture and total sugar content analysis was proposed based on surface ***,five geometric features and seven texture features of Huizao were obtained to be the external quality indexes by digital image processing ***,the wrinkle degree as an important index was extracted by marked watershed segmentation *** to the external quality the Huizao samples were grouped,and the moisture and total sugar content were determined through physical and chemical ***,the moisture and total sugar content and twelve external indexes were all processed by step discriminatory ***,the regression models of moisture content with short diameter,contrast,and wrinkle degree and total sugar with wrinkle degree were *** coefficients of the model were 0.9992 and 0.9978 respectively,and all the significance was less than 0.01,which show that the regression equation and regression coefficient effect are highly *** results indicate that the moisture and total sugar content of Huizao are greatly correlated with the wrinkle *** moisture and total sugar content are the highest when the wrinkle degree is at 2 to 3 grade,and they decrease gradually with the wrinkle degree *** content shows positive correlation with the size of *** results of model analysis agree well with the experimental results,which can provide valuable reference for improving Huizao grade diversity.

The spatial relationships between traffic accessibility and supply and demand(S&D)of ecosystem services(ESs)are essential for the formulation of ecological compensation policies and ESs *** this study,an ESs matrix and coupling analysis method were used to assess ESs S&D based on land-use data for 2000,2010,and 2020,and spatial regression models were used to analyze the correlated impacts of traffic *** results showed that the ESs supply and balance index in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration(MRYRUA)continuously decreased,while the demand index increased from 2000 to *** Gini coefficients of these indices continued to increase but did not exceed the warning value(0.4).The coupling degree of ESs S&D continued to increase,and its spatial distribution patterns were similar to that of the ESs demand index,with significantly higher values in the plains than in the montane areas,contrasting with those of the ESs supply *** results of global bivariate Moran’s I analysis showed a significant spatial dependence between traffic accessibility and the degree of coupling between ESs S&D;the spatial regression results showed that an increase in traffic accessibility promoted the coupling *** present results provide a new perspective on the relationship between traffic accessibility and the coupling degree of ESs S&D,representing a case study for similar future research in other regions,and a reference for policy creation based on the matching between ESs S&D in the MRYRUA.

Indoor environmental quality(IEQ)significantly affects human health and ***,continuous IEQ monitoring and feedback is of great concern in both the industrial and academic ***,most existing studies only focus on developing sensors that cost-effectively promote IEQ measurement while ignoring interactions between the human side and IEQ *** this study,an intelligent IEQ monitoring and feedback system-the Intelligent Built Enviroment(IBEM)-is ***,the IBEM hardware instrument integrates air temperature,relative humidity,CO_(2),particulate matter with an aerodynamic diameter no greater than _(2.5)μm(PM_(2.5)),and illuminance sensors within a small *** accuracy of this integrated device was tested through a co-location experiment with reference sensors;the device exhibited a strong correlation with the reference sensors,with a slight deviation(R^(2)>0.97 and slopes between 1.01 and 1.05).Secondly,a wireless data transmission module,a cloud storage module,and graphical user interfaces(i.e.,a web platform and mobile interface)were built to establish a pathway for dataflow and interactive feedback with the occupants of the indoor ***,the IEQ parameters can be continuously monitored with a high spatiotemporal resolution,interactive feedback can be induced,and synchronous data collection on occupant satisfaction and objective environmental parameters can be *** has been widely applied in 131 buildings in 18cities/areas in China,with 1188 sample *** these applications,we report on the targeted IEQ diagnoses of two individual buildings and the exploration of relationships between subjective and objective IEQ data in detail *** work demonstrates the great value of IBEM in both industrial and academic research.

The relationship between design and science in architecture continually receives attention from scholars,but to our knowledge,no substantial and systematic literature reviews have been undertaken to generate insights into how the relationship between the two has developed in recent *** most of the related debate remains theoretical,this paper presents evidence acquired through content analysis of selected 782 peer-reviewed papers published in the last four decades,a period in which design requirements continue to grow in complexity and research efforts increasingly concentrate on design *** response,this study departs from the two keywords,architectural science and building science,and develops search strings to support examination of the relationship between science and architectural design since the 1980s,when research that addresses the building environment started to *** analysis employs tools based on machine learning algorithms for text analytics in combination with traditional content analysis *** presented research method is fully replicable and stands as one of the contributions of this *** findings capture the expansion of the research context concerned with the built environment through a careful selection of defining terms,and generate an informed discussion on how the role of science in the architectural design process has changed.

Objective The occurrence of chickenpox in rapidly developing areas poses substantial seasonal risk to ***,certain factors influencing local chickenpox outbreaks have not been ***,we examined the relationship between spatial clustering,heterogeneity of chickenpox outbreaks,and socioeconomic factors in Southern *** We assessed chickenpox outbreak data from Southern China between 2006 and 2021,comprising both relatively fast-growing parts and slower sub-regions,and provides a representative sample of many developing *** analyzed the spatial clustering attributes associated with chickenpox outbreaks using Moran’s I and local indicators of spatial association and quantified their socioeconomic determinants using Geodetector q *** There were significant spatial heterogeneity in the risk of chickenpox outbreaks,with strong correlations between chickenpox risk and various factors,particularly demographics and living ***,interactive effects among specific are factors,such as population density and per capita residential building area,percentage of households with toilets,percentage of rental housing,exhibited q statistics of 0.28,0.25,and 0.24,*** This study provides valuable insights into the spatial dynamics of chickenpox outbreaks in rapidly developing regions,revealing the socioeconomic factors affecting disease *** implications extend the formulation of effective public health strategies and interventions to prevent and control chickenpox outbreaks in similar global contexts.

Gondwana deposits are extensively found across the continents. Here we study the Mid- dle Permian Barakar Formation from the marginal Gondwana Basin, eastern India, being deposited in a normal fault setting. Availability of extensive cores as well as geophysical log suites （gammaresistivity-density from drilled wells） from the study area helped us achieving high resolution interpretation. Core study identifies fluvial sedimentary architectures, which were correlated with the geophysical logs and modeled field-wide to understand vertical and horizontal facies disposition. The facies analysis has been used to establish a sequence stratigraphic model of the cyclic Barakar deposition. Four major fining upward depositional sequences were identified, each sequence comprises of low accommodation system tract （LAST） at base and high accommodation system tract （HAST） at top. LAST is characterized by vertically stacked, multistory amalgamated channel sandstone dominated facies, while floodplain dominated facies characterizes HAST, reflecting a gradual shift from braided to meandering depositional system from bottom to top of each cycle. Study reveals depocenter to be in the western part, supported by eastward thinning of sediment packets, all being deposited in a halfgraben setting.

Thermoelectric Properties of Mg_2Si_(1-x)Sn_x Synthesized by Bulk Mechanical Alloying

Bulk mechanical alloying （BMA） has been successfully applied to solid-state synthesis of p-type and n-type thermoelectric materials Mg2Si1-xSnx （x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 1） from element-powders at the room temperature in a relatively short time. The electrical conductivity, the Seebeck coefficient and the thermal conductivity of the Mg2Si1-xSnx are quite sensitive to the x-content. With the x-content rising, the electrical conductivity increases. When x = 0.6, it reaches the lowest and Mg2Si shows an n-type of semi-conducting However, when x = 0.2 and T 〉525 K, the Seebeck coefficient of the samples will change the opposite way. While x≥0.4, the samples present a p-type of semi-conducting. The figure of merit, Z of Mg2Si1-xSnx will be obtained in the range from 300 K to 700 K. When x = 0.6, Z proves to be higher than that of other samples at 300 K≤ T≤650 K.
