The rational design of metal single-atom catalysts（SACs） for electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction（NRR） is challenging. Two-dimensional metal–organic frameworks（2DMOFs） is a unique class of promising SACs. Up to now, the roles of individual metals, coordination atoms, and their synergy effect on the electroanalytic performance remain unclear. Therefore, in this work, a series of 2DMOFs with different metals and coordinating atoms are systematically investigated as electrocatalysts for ammonia synthesis using density functional theory calculations. For a specific metal, a proper metalintermediate atoms p-d orbital hybridization interaction strength is found to be a key indicator for their NRR catalytic activities. The hybridization interaction strength can be quantitatively described with the p-/d-band center energy difference（Δd-p）, which is found to be a sufficient descriptor for both the p-d hybridization strength and the NRR performance. The maximum free energy change（ΔGmax） and Δd-p have a volcanic relationship with OsC4（Se）4located at the apex of the volcanic curve, showing the best NRR performance. The asymmetrical coordination environment could regulate the band structure subtly in terms of band overlap and *** work may shed new light on the application of orbital engineering in electrocatalytic NRR activity and especially promotes the rational design for SACs.

The Yellow River Basin is an important food production area and an ecological challenge for China, where environmental protection and water scarcity are the major constraints. For the upper reaches of the Yellow River Basin,optimizing the adoption of chemicals in agricultural production and integrating crops with livestock are the key strategies for protecting the *** dryland agriculture in the middle and upper reaches, this study summarizes four aspects of efficient precipitation techniques in terms of collection,storage, conservation, and use, which have greatly improved crop yields and supported dryland crop production. Irrigated agriculture in the middle and lower reaches is the core area of China's grain production, where the area under water-saving irrigation reached 13.0 Mha in 2018, greatly improving water use. Compared with 1998, cereal production in 2018 increased by 62.2 Mt under similar total water withdrawals(49.7 billion to 51.6 billion m~3),and the annual soil erosion at the Tongguan Hydrological Observatory reduced by 584 million m~3 in 2018, achieving great success in environmental protection and efficient water use. The Chinese government has set a goal for the Yellow River Basin to become the national leader in environmental protection and efficient water use by 2035. Such a high demand requires the combined efforts of the whole community, as well as the adoption of new technologies,coordinated basin-wide development, and adequate policy support.

The prevention and control of rice bacterial leaf blight(BLB)disease has not yet been achieved due to the lack of effective agrochemicals and available ***,we develop a series of novel bissulfones and a novel target with a unique mechanism to address this *** developed bissulfones can control Xanthomonas oryzae ***(Xoo),and 2-(bis(methylsulfonyl)methylene)-N-(4-chlorophenyl)hydrazine-1-carboxamide(B_(7))is more effective than the commercial drugs thiodiazole copper(TC)and bismerthiazol(BT).Pyruvate kinase(PYK)in Xoo has been identified for the first time as the target protein of our bissulfone B_(7).PYK modulates bacterial virulence via a CRP-like protein(Clp)/two-component system regulatory protein(reg R)*** elucidation of this pathway facilitates the use of B_(7)to reduce PYK expression at the transcriptional level,block PYK activity at the protein level,and impair the interaction within the PYK-Clp-reg R complex via competitive inhibition,thereby attenuating bacterial biology and *** study offers insights into the molecular and mechanistic aspects underlying anti-Xoo strategies that target *** believe that these valuable discoveries will be used for bacterial disease control in the future.

Developing and excavating new agrochemicals with highly active and safe is an important tactic for protecting crop health and food *** this paper,to discover the new bactericide candidates,we designed,prepared a new type of1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-β-carboline(THC)derivatives and evaluated the in vitro and in vivo bioactivities against the Xanthomonas oryzae ***(Xoo),Xanthomonas axonopodis ***(Xac),and Pseudomonas syringae ***(Psa).The in vitro bioassay results exhibited that most title molecules possessed good activity toward the three plant pathogenic bacteria,the compound A17 showed the most active against Xoo and Xac with EC50 values of 7.27 and 4.89 mg mL^(-1)respectively,and compound A8 exhibited the best inhibitory activity against Psa with EC50value of 4.87 mg mL^(-1).Pot experiments showed that compound A17 exhibited excellent in vivo antibacterial activities to manage rice bacterial leaf blight and citrus bacterial canker,with protective efficiencies of 52.67 and 79.79%at 200 mgmL^(-1),***,compound A8 showed good control efficiency(84.31%)against kiwifruit bacterial canker at 200 mg mL^(-1).Antibacterial mechanism suggested that these compounds could interfere with the balance of the redox system,damage the cell membrane,and induce the apoptosis of Xoo *** together,our study revealed that tetrahydro-β-carboline derivatives could be a promising candidate model for novel broadspectrum bactericides.

Application of surfactant for improving leaching process of weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores

Weathered crust elution-deposited rare earth ores(WREOs)in China are the main source of medium and heavy rare earths in the *** order to improve the seepage and the mass transfer of traditional ammonium salt leaching process of WREOs,surfactants were added in the ammonium sulfate leaching solution and the ammonium chloride leaching *** leaching kinetics,the mass transfer process,and the adhesion work reduction factor calculated from the interfacial properties were studied to reveal the strengthening mechanism of *** the presence of the tested five surfactants,cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB),dodecyl trimethyl ammonium bromide(DTAB),sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS),sodium oleate and oleic acid,the permeability of WREOs is improved,the rare earth(RE)leaching efficiency increase and the impurity aluminum(Al)leaching efficiency decrease,indicating its promotional effect on the leaching process of ***,CTAB shows a better leaching enhancement,and the optimal addition dosage is 0.4 g/L for the two ammonium salt leaching agent *** kinetics analysis shows the internal diffusion controls model of RE and Al leaching process,and the leaching kinetics equations of RE and Al related to CTAB concentration were obtained for the two ammonium salt leaching *** to the chromatographic plate theory,the mass transfer efficiency of RE increases with the CTAB concentration increasing until 0.4 g/L,which confirms that the optimal CTAB addition is 0.4 g/*** adhesion work and adhesion work reduction factor indicate more favorable permeation as well as the leaching process.

Crafting host materials for narrowband blue OLEDs with low efficiency roll-off by the medium-ring strategy

The pursuit of high-performance narrowband blue organic light-emitting diodes（OLEDs） is of paramount importance in both academic research and industrial *** obvious strides have been made in the design of narrowband blue emitters,the development of appropriate host materials has evidently trailed ***,we introduce a medium-ring strategy for crafting host molecules based on the heptagonal tribenzo[b,d,f]azepine（TBA） *** twisted three-dimensional（3D） architecture of the TBA framework not only endows the host molecules with fast hole-transporting pathways but also effectively reduces exciton *** with two TBA units,DTBA,synthesized with ease,demonstrates a huge horizontal orientation factor(Θ//) of 93.5%and a broad emission spectrum for accelerating the energy transfer process in the emitting layer,which contributes to enhancing device *** have fabricated high-performance narrowband blue OLEDs using DTBA as the host,FIrpic as the phosphor sensitizer,and the widely used boron-nitrogen-containing multiple resonance emitter *** devices exhibit a maximum external quantum efficiency(EQEmax) as high as 31.0% with an impressively lowefficiency *** at a high luminance level of 10,000 cd m-2,the EQE value remains noteworthy at 20.3%,marking a significant advancement in BCz-BN-based devices.
