Objective:To analyze the effect of combining transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation(TEAS)with rehabilitation training in patients with upper limb dysfunction after stroke(ULDAS).Methods:A total of 130 ULDAS patients who were hospitalized and rehabilitated in Wuxi Xinwu District rehabilitation Hospital from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected and randomly divided into Group A(65 cases,rehabilitation training)and Group B(65 cases,rehabilitation training+TEAS).The effects of the two groups were ***:After treatment,the upper limb functional indexes of Group B were better than those of Group A(Prehabilitation training.

Magnetic flower-like α-Fe2O3@N-C particles were synthesized by hydrothermal self-assembly method and oxygen-limited carbonisation in a glycerol and ethanol solution system using glucose as the carbon source,iron nitrate as the magnetic source and particle skeleton and urea as the nitrogen *** hydrothermal temperatures of 120℃,140℃,160℃ and 180℃ were used to modulate the adsorbent *** temperature of 140℃,solution pH=7,and a dosage of 0.06 g are the optimum *** adsorption capacity of 2,4-dichlorophenol(2,4-DCP) onto MC-2 was determined as 108.556 mg g-1at 25℃.Experiments show that the adsorbents all fitted well to the Langmuir isothermal adsorption model and the quasi-secondary kinetic model,and the adsorption behaviour was dominated by monolayer *** adsorption process was heat absorbing and *** and XRD analysis showed that the adsorbent had a stableα-Fe2O3skeleton and carbon *** and XPS analysis showed that the adsorbent had hydrogen bonding,electrostatic interaction and π-π bonding to 2,4-dichlorophenol.

As a variant of Finite mixture model(FMM), finite Inverted Dirichlet mixture model(IDMM)can not avoid the conventional challenges, such as how to select the appropriate number of mixture components based on the observed data. Towards easing these issues,we propose a variational inference framework for learning IDMM which has been proved to be an efficient tool for modeling vectors with positive elements. Compared with the conventional Expectation maximization(EM) algorithm commonly used for learning FMM, the proposed approach prevents over-fitting well. Furthermore, it is able to do automatic determination of the number of mixture components and parameters estimation, *** results on both synthetic and real data of object detection confirm significant improvements on flexibility and efficiency being achieved.

Background: Clubfoot is a debilitating pathology and a source of abnormal gait in children. Treatment with the Ponseti method is the treatment used in the management of congenital clubfoot in children under 9 years old. This study aims to identify the proportion of children with clubfoot supported by the Ponseti method and to evaluate their effectiveness. Materials and Method: A multicenter retrospective descriptive study for six (06) months from June 1st to November 30th, 2019 concerning the evaluation of the Ponseti method in the management of clubfoot in Madagascar was conducted. Results: One hundred ninety-one (191) children with club feet were screened during the study period. One hundred and fifty children, or 226 congenital equine varus clubfoot were treated with the Ponseti method during the study period. The male gender was the most affected compared to the female gender with a sex ratio of 1.75. The clubfoot was bilateral in 50.66% of cases and idiopathic in 92.66%. The initial Pirani score was on average (±SD) 5.04/4.98 (±1.22/1.20). A proportion of 23.33% of cases of recurrence was recorded at 3 months of use of brace abduction splint. Conclusion: In Madagascar, the incidence of congenital clubfoot remains relatively low but clubfoot is still the main limitation of walking and a lack of footwear in children. Ponseti method is the gold standard in the management of this pathology. However, it requires a long-term follow-up.

A simple treatment plan for manual therapists is presented based on current evidence-based literature, it is designed to lessen chronic pain and inflammation in the Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). A chronic continuous or intermittent gastrointestinal tract dysfunction, IBS appears due to dysregulation of brain-gut-microbe communication. An overview of its management using Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) is described. In IBS OMT focuses on the nervous and circulatory systems, spine, viscera, thoracic and pelvic diaphragms in order to restore homeostatic balance, normalize autonomic activity in the intestine, promote lymphatic flow and address somatic dysfunction. Lymphatic and venous congestion is treated by the Lymphatic Pump Techniques and stimulation of Chapman’s Reflex Points. The food itself, food allergies and intolerance could contribute to symptom onset or even cause IBS. Furthermore the “microbiota” greatly impacts on the bi-directional brain-gut axis communication. This paper also provides appropriate dietary modifications for patients with IBS.

Cerebellar hemorrhage (CH) has a higher early mortality rate compared with other types of intracranial hemorrhage and the survivors often suffer from momentous disability. Hence, the prognostic factors of long-term outcome beyond 6 months after CH are clinically valuable, however only three studies were reported in the literature. Sixty-one patients with CH were retrospectively analyzed at least 6 months after hemorrhage. The long-term outcome of all patients and long-term functional status of survivors beyond 6 months (the patients who died within 6 months after hemorrhage were excluded) were assessed using the modified Rankin Scale (mRS): favorable outcome (mRS 0 - 2) and unfavorable outcome (mRS 3 - 6). All of the prognostic factors were analyzed by univariate and multivariate Cox proportional hazards regression models. There were 16 (26.2%) patients in the favorable outcome group and 45 (73.8%) in the unfavorable outcome group with respect of long-term outcome in all patients. The radiological brainstem compression (HR = 3;p = 0.015) was shown to be an independent predictor. On the other hand, 46 out of 61 (75.4%) patients survived beyond 6 months. In total, 16 (34.7%) patients had a favorable functional status, and 65.3% (30/46) had a persistent unfavorable functional status. Moreover, only age 365 years (HR = 3;p = 0.019) was an independent predictor. Radiological brainstem compression and age 365 were respectively shown to be a strong prognostic factor for long-term outcome and functional status among survivors beyond 6 months after hemorrhage in patients with CH.

Objective:the positioning of secondary hospitals in the community rehabilitation work system and the status of community medical rehabilitation ser-vices for the disabled in Changsha were clarified through investigation and study of the 2019 income of a second-ary general hospital in *** from var-ious parties were integrated to provide feasible ideas for expanding the role of secondary hospitals in community ***:the 2019 income of a secondary general hospital in Changsha was statistically analyzed,a community rehabilitation questionnaire was designed,and a field survey was carried out focusing on 19 issues including rehabilitation service items,rehabilitation facil-ities and equipment,and the satisfaction of rehabilitation ***:in the total hospitalization expenses of a secondary general hospital in Changsha city in 2019,rehabilitation physiotherapy expenses accounted for 7%,and drug treatment expenses accounted for 25%.In addi-tion,in the survey of community rehabilitation service sat-isfaction for the disabled,the difference between the very dissatisfied and very satisfied groups was statistically sig-nificant(Prehabilitation ***,rehabilitation treatment projects to meet the rehabilitation needs of the disabled should be promoted in hospitals.

Effects of professional rehabilitation training on the recovery of neurological function in young stroke patients

Young stroke patients have a strong desire to return to the society, but few studies have been conducted on their rehabilitation training items, intensity, and prognosis. We analyzed clinical data of young and middle-aged/older stroke patients hospitalized in the Department of Neurological rehabilitation, China rehabilitation Research Center, Capital Medical University, China from February 2014 to May 2015. Results demonstrated that hemorrhagic stroke （59.6%） was the primary stroke type found in the young group, while ischemic stroke （60.0%） was the main type detected in the middle-aged/older group. Compared with older stroke patients, education level and incidence of hyperhomocysteinemia were higher in younger stroke patients, whereas, incidences of hypertension, diabetes, and heart disease were lower. The average length of hospital stay was longer in the young group than in the middle-aged/older group. The main risk factors observed in the young stroke patients were hypertension, drinking, smoking, hyperlipidemia, hyperhomocysteinemia, diabetes, previous history of stroke, and heart disease. The most accepted rehabilitation program consisted of physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, acupuncture and moxibustion. Average rehabilitation training time was 2.5 hours/day. Barthel Index and modified Rankin Scale scores were increased at discharge. Six months after discharge, the degree of occupational and economic satisfaction declined, and there were no changes in family life satisfaction. The degrees of other life satisfaction （such as friendship） improved. The degree of disability and functional status improved significantly in young stroke patients after professional rehabilitation, but the number of patients who returned to society within 6 months after stroke was still small.

BACKGROUND：Shoulder pain is a common complication of *** venom acupuncture（BVA）is increasingly used in the treatment of post-stroke shoulder ***：To summarize and evaluate evidence on the effectiveness of BVA in relieving shoulder pain after *** STRATEGY：Nine databases,namely MEDLINE,EMBASE,the Cochrane Library,the China National Knowledge Infrastructure（CNKI）,the Japan Science and Technology Information Aggregator,Electronic（J-STAGE）,and four Korean medical databases,namely,the National Assembly Library,the Research Information service System,the National Discovery for Science Leaders,and OASIS,were searched from their inception through August 2014 without language *** CRITERIA：Randomized controlled trials（RCTs）were included if BVA was used at acupoints as the sole treatment,or as an adjunct to other treatments,for shoulder pain after *** EXTRACTION AND ANALYSIS：Two review authors independently selected trials for inclusion,assessed methodological quality and extracted ***：A total of 138 potentially relevant articles were identifi ed,4 of which were RCTs that met our inclusion *** quality of studies included was generally low,and a preponderance of positive results was *** four trials reported favorable effects of BVA on shoulder pain after *** RCTs assessing the effects of BVA on post-stroke shoulder pain,as opposed to saline injections,were included in the *** was signifi cantly lower for BVA than for saline injections（standardized mean difference on 10-cm visual analog scale：1.46 cm,95%CI=0.30–2.62,P=0.02,n=86）CONCLUSION：This review provided evidence suggesting that BVA is effective in relieving shoulder pain after ***,further studies are needed to confi rm the role of BVA in alleviating post-stroke shoulder *** studies should be conducted with large samples and rigorous study designs.

Spinal cord injury(SCI)is a devastating and disabling medical condition generally caused by a traumatic event(primary injury).This initial trauma is accompanied by a set of biological mechanisms directed to ameliorate neural damage but also exacerbate initial damage(secondary injury).The alterations that occur in the spinal cord have not only local but also systemic consequences and virtually all organs and tissues of the body incur important changes after SCI,explaining the progression and detrimental consequences related to this ***(PNIE)is a growing area of research aiming to integrate and explore the interactions among the different systems that compose the human organism,considering the mind and the body as a *** initial traumatic event and the consequent neurological disruption trigger immune,endocrine,and multisystem dysfunction,which in turn affect the patient's psyche and *** the present review,we will explore the most important local and systemic consequences of SCI from a PNIE perspective,defining the changes occurring in each system and how all these mechanisms are ***,potential clinical approaches derived from this knowledge will also be collectively presented with the aim to develop integrative therapies to maximize the clinical management of these patients.
