Background:Participation in physical activity supports greater cardiorespiratory fitness(CRF),a correlate of cognitive ***,the relationship between muscular fitness(MF)and cognitive control is less *** present study investigated the differential relationship of CRF and MF with cognitive control in older ***:This cross-sectional study involved students(1517 years old,n=541,43%female)from 20 secondary schools who completed tests of inhibition(modified flanker task),working memory(n-back task),CRF(Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Endurance Run),and MF(standing long jump and push-up test).Multilevel analyses tested the association between CRF or MF and cognitive outcomes while accounting for the influence of the other fitness variable and relevant demographic ***:CRF predicted response accuracy during incongruent flanker trials,the condition requiring greater *** the working memory task,CRF predicted greater target accuracy and greater d’scores on the 1-back task,requiring lesser amounts of working *** the 2-back task,which requires greater amounts of working memory,CRF also predicted greater target and non-target accuracy and d’***,MF did not predict any cognitive outcomes after adjustment for ***:CRF was selectively related to better performance during task conditions that require greater amounts of inhibition and working *** finding suggests that CRF,but not MF,may benefit cognitive control in older *** selective influence of CRF on older adolescents’cognition highlights the value of aerobic physical activity.

Objective: To describe the quantity and type of school health services provide d by nurses in boston public schools. Setting: In 2001, the 63024 students enrol led predominantly belonged to minority groups (48%black, 28%Hispanic, and 9%A sian)-and were eligible for a free or reduced-price lunch (71%). Main Outcome Measure: Analysis of the 2001-2002 boston public schools Health Services datab ase. Results: A total of 63 024 students generated 721291 individual encounters with 93.5 full-time equivalent school nurses, including episodic care (57.8% ), medication administration (31.5%), procedures (6.2%), and screening (5.1 %). A total of 2420 students had an individual health care plan for the adminis tration of medications and procedures during the school day. Students with indiv idual health care plans averaged 117.9 encounters per year with school nurses, and students without averaged 7.2 encounters per year. Outcomes of encounters i ncluded school dismissal (3.0%); verbal communication with parents (10.6%), school staff (3.9%), and community agencies or health care providers (1.1%); and referral to a primary care provider (4.6%) or emergency services ( boston public schools. We estimate that these children a re 8 times more likely to see a school nurse than a pediatric health care provid er. These school nurses were involved in the care of children with mental health and chronic he alth care needs. Despite the extensive amount of care, little is known about the efficacy of the care provided or the effect of these services on health care us e.

Purpose Educational technology(“EdTech”)served a pivotal role in keeping schools functioning during the beginning of the COVID-19 *** is known about EdTech leaders’roles in shaping this *** study explores EdTech leaders’perspectives and backgrounds,their response to the pandemic,how they envision their roles as educators,and their perspectives about how technology facilitates educational ***/Approach/Methods This study uses a qualitative,phenomenological approach to understand how 11 EdTech leaders experienced the *** were recruited for interviews in summer 2021 via purposive sampling to include diverse backgrounds and *** were analyzed *** The findings show that a four-category typology can be used to describe EdTech leaders’diverse backgrounds and *** emphasized equity and open collaboration in their pandemic responses,by expanding access to their tools and adapting their products as users’needs *** leaders anticipate streamlined user experiences,improvements in online learning,and increased adoption of artificial intelligence and simulated learning ***/Value This study addresses a gap in the research concerning EdTech leaders’perspectives on their efforts to support educators and their experiences during the *** hope this study sparks additional research on EdTech leaders’experiences and roles in education.

本研究对6203名参与过不同形式的社会服务实践的中学生进行调查,考察了中学生参与社会服务实践的现状及其对公民行动意向的影响机制。结果发现:(1)我国中学社会服务实践的质量各维度差异较大,内外调控、深化与拓展、课程关联和自主性得分依次显著降低。(2)中学生参与的社会服务实践在城乡、学校类型、年级上存在显著差异,学校类型和年级的交互作用显著。城市、示范学校、低年级的学生参与的社会服务实践的质量较好,示范学校的优势主要体现在低年级阶段。(3)中学生的社会服务实践经历影响其公民行动意向,而社会服务观念在其中起到部分中介作用。高质量的社会服务实践经历有助于改进中学生的社会服务观念,进而增强其公民行动意向。

This study was conducted to identify the number and density of active licensed acupuncturists(LAcs),as well as the number of accredited schools in acupuncture and Oriental medicine(AOM),as of January 1,2023,in the United States(U.S.).The number of active LAcs as of January 1,2023 was 34,524,potentially33,364 after removing license duplication in multiple states,among which the largest three states were California(with 7317 LAcs[21.19%of the total]),New York(5024[14.55%])and Florida(2644[7.66%]).The total number of LAcs decreased by 8.87%from 2018,and fell short of our projected number of LAcs in 2023 by 9037,or 20.75%.The overall LAc density in the *** as the number of LAcs per 100,000 populationDwas 10.36,less than in *** were 56 active,accredited AOM schools which offered a total of 147 programs(121 at the level necessary for licensing[entry-level],12 for an advanced practicing degree[advanced-level],and 14 for certifications).Broken down further,offerings included 50 master's degrees in acupuncture,40 master's degrees in Oriental medicine,31 entry-level doctorate degrees(10 in acupuncture and 21 in acupuncture plus Chinese herbal medicine),and 12advanced-level doctorate degrees in *** certification programs included one in East-Asian Medical Bodywork and 13 in *** these schools in 2023,institutions in the West and East Coast states comprised 67.86%(decreased from 77.42%in 2018)of the national ***,Florida and Illinois represented 39.29%.There were 48 jurisdictions with acupuncture practice laws in *** data suggests that the acupuncture profession in the *** been significantly impacted during the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic.
