Multi boron-doping effects in hard carbon toward enhanced sodium ion storage

Hard carbon （HC） has been co.sidered as promising anode material for sodium-ion batteries （SIBs）.The optimization of hard carbon’s microstructure and solid electrolyte interface （SEI） property are demonstrated effective in enhancing the Na+storage capability,however,a one-step regulation strategy to achieve simultaneous multi-scale structures optimization is highly ***,we have systematically investigated the effects of boron doping on hard carbon’s microstructure and interface chemistry.A variety of structure characterizations show that appropriate amount of boron doping can increase the size of closed pores via rearrangement of carbon layers with improved graphitization degree,which provides more Na+storage ***-situ Fourier transform infrared spectrosco.y/electrochemical impedance spectrosco.y （FTIR/EIS） and X-ray photoelectron spectrosco.y （XPS） analysis demonstrate the presence of more BC3and less B–C–O structures that result in enhanced ion diffusion kinetics and the formation of inorganic rich and robust SEI,which leads to facilitated charge transfer and excellent rate *** a result,the hard carbon anode with optimized boron doping co.tent exhibits enhanced rate and cycling *** general,this work unravels the critical role of boron doping in optimizing the pore structure,interface chemistry and diffusion kinetics of hard carbon,which enables rational design of sodium-ion battery anode with enhanced Na+storage performance.

Study on the hydrogen absorption properties of a YGdTbDyHo rare-earth high-entropy alloy

This study investigated the microstructure and hydrogen absorption properties of a rare-earth high-entropy alloy(HEA),*** indicated that the YGdTbDyHo alloy had a microstructure of equiaxed grains,with the alloy elements distributed *** hydrogen absorption,the phase structure of the HEA changed from a solid solution with an hexagonal-close-packed(HCP)structure to a high-entropy hydride with an faced-centered-cubic(FCC)structure without any seco.dary phase *** alloy demonstrated a maximum hydrogen storage capacity of 2.33 H/M(hydrogen atom/metal atom)at 723 K,with an enthalpy change(ΔH)of-141.09 kJ·mol^(-1)and an entropy change(ΔS)of-119.14 J·mol^(-1)·K^(-1).The kinetic mechanism of hydrogen absorption was hydride nucleation and growth,with an apparent activation energy(E_(a))of 20.90 kJ·mol^(-1).Without any activation,the YGdTbDyHo alloy co.ld absorb hydrogen quickly(180 s at 923 K)with nearly no incubation period *** reason for the obtained value of 2.33 H/M was that the hydrogen atoms occupied both tetrahedral and octahedral *** results demonstrate the potential application of HEAs as a high-capacity hydrogen storage material with a large H/M ratio,which can be used in the deuterium storage field.

Preparation by Wet-spinning and Properties Polyaniline-Polyethersulfone Fibers for Flexible Supercapacitor Electrodes

Flexible PANI-Polyethersulfone (PES) fibers were fabricated using the wet-spinning *** particles were uniformly distributed within the matrix and micropores formed by the phase separation of PES,which prevented PANI particles aggregation and facilitated the formation of co.tinuous ion transport *** experimental results reveals that the electrochemical performance of the fiber electrode material is optimal when the co.centration of PES in the spinning solution is 15wt%.The assembled supercapacitor exhibits a co.mendable specific area capacitance of 162.75 mF·cm^(-2) at a current density of 0.5 mA·cm^(-2) and achieves an energy density of 14.47 mWh·cm^(-2) at a power density of 321.69 mW·cm^(-2).The capacitor retains 98.1% of its capacitance after 1 000 bending ***,the prepared fibers have good electrochemical properties and flexibility,and this simple and efficient preparation method is promising for the scalable production of flexible electrodes.

Thermal stability of nanocrystalline in surface layer of magnesium alloy AZ91D

Isothermal and isochronal annealing was co.ducted to study the thermal stability of the nanocrystalline in the surface layer of Mg alloy AZ91D induced by high-energy shot peening(HESP) .Field emission scanning electron microsco.e(FESEM) and X-ray diffractometer were used to characterize the *** showed that nanocrystalline produced by HESP on the surface layer of the magnesium alloy AZ91D was 60-70 nm on *** nanocrystalline co.ld remain stable at about 100℃,and grew up slowly between 100℃ and 200℃.When the annealing temperature reached 300℃,the growth rate of the nanocrystalline increased *** kinetic co.fficient n of the nanocrystalline growth was calculated to be 2-3 and the grain growth activation energy Q=39.7 kJ/mol,far less than the self-diffusion activation energy of magnesium atoms in the co.rse polycrystalline material.

Electromagnetic and microwave absorbing properties of Feco. powder co.posites

The electromagnetic and microwave absorbing properties of Feco. powder co.posites prepared by sin- gle-roller melt-spinning and mechanical milling processes were investigated in this paper. The result indicates that the flake-like powders are obtained. As milling time increases, the flake-like powder particles tend to agglomerate, causing the flake-like powders decrease gradually. The milling time plays an important role in the electromagnetic parameters which relates to the shape and size of the powder particles. The calculation shows that the sample milled for 6 h co.ld achieve an optimal reflection loss of -11.5 dB at 5.8 GHz, with mass fraction of 83 % and a matching thickness of 1.8 mm. The result also indicates that the microwave absorbing properties of the Feco. powder co.posites are adjustable by changing their thickness, and can be applied as a thinner microwave absorbing material in the range of 2-8 GHz.

Direct growth of graphene on vertically standing glass by a metal-free chemical vapor deposition method

A new method to directly grow graphene on quartz glass substrate by atmospheric-pressure chemical vapor deposition （CVD） without using any catalyst was developed. The prime feature of this method is to build a vertical-glass model in the quartz tube to significantly increase the co.lision probability of the carbon precursors and reactive fragments between each other with the glass surface. The growth rate of high-quality graphene on glass remarkably increases co.pared with the co.ventional gas flow CVD technique. The optical transmittance and sheet resistance of the graphene glass can be readily adjusted by regulating growth time. When growth time is 35 rain, the graphene glass presents an intriguing sheet resistance of about 1.48 kΩ sq^-1 at a transmittance of 93.08%and exhibits an excellent hydrophobic performance. The method is simple and scalable, and might stimulate various potential applications of transparent and co.ductive graphene glass in practical fields.

Mechanism of extracting palladium(Ⅱ) with cyclic sulfoxide derivatives

The extraction ability of palladium(Ⅱ) from acidic media with cyclic sulfoxide derivatives-α Dodecyl tetrahydrothiophene 1 Oxide (DTMSO), α octyl tetrahydrothiophene 1 Oxide (OTMSO) and α butyl tetrahydrothiophene 1 Oxide (BTMSO) was investigated. The extracting efficiency of cyclic sulfoxide derivatives decreased with the increasing of acidity in the lower acidity, and the efficiency became stable with the change of acidity in the higher acidity. The extraction reaction of palladium(Ⅱ)with DTMSO is exothermic, and extraction reaction of palladium(Ⅱ)is endothermic when OTMSO or BTMSO were used as extracting reagents. The co.rdination number was studied by slope method. The results indicate that co.rdination number is 2, and the co.position of co.plex is (PdCl 2)·2RTMSO. FT IR spectra were used to analyze the structure of co.plex and co.rdinated atom in co.plex, Pd is co.rdinated with both oxygen and sulfur atom in S=O group in sulfoxide derivatives.

co.e loss analysis of Finemet type nanocrystalline alloy ribbon with different thickness

Nanocrystalline soft magnetic materials are widely used in power electronic applications due to their high permeability,magnetization and low co.e *** this paper,Fe;Cu;Nb;Si;B;（at%）nanocrystalline alloy ribbons,with ultra-thin thickness of 14μm,and also 18 and 22μm,were prepared by a planar flow casting method with a single roller *** magnetic properties of these ribbons were analyzed after nanocrystallization *** experiments were co.ducted on toroidal samples using IWATSU B-H Analyzer over a frequency range of 10–100 kHz,at induction amplitudes of 100–500 m T,at room *** was found that the excess eddy current loss P;was the dominant factor in the overall co.e loss above 10 k *** toroidal samples made of the 14μm thickness ribbon exhibit very low total co.e loss of 48 W/kg at a frequency of100 kHz and magnetic flux density of 300 *** ratio of the P;was up to 89%at 100 *** ribbon with lower thickness exhibits lower P;and therefore lower total co.e *** domain structure evidences were *** indicates that the ribbons with small thickness are preferable for application in high frequency co.dition.

Model Algorithm Research on co.ling Path co.trol of Hot-rolled Dual-phase Steel

With the development of advanced high strength steel,especially for dual-phase steel,the model algorithm for co.ling co.trol after hot rolling has to achieve the targeted co.ling temperature co.trol at the location of downco.ler whilst maintaining the co.ling path co.trol based on strip microstructure along the whole co.ling section.A co.ling path co.trol algorithm was proposed for the laminar co.ling process as a solution to practical difficulties associated with the realization of the thermal cycle during co.ling *** heat co.duction equation co.pled with the carbon diffusion equation with moving boundary was employed in order to simulate temperature change and phase transformation kinetics,making it possible to observe the temperature field and the phase fraction of the strip in real *** this basis,an optimization method was utilized for valve settings to ensure the minimum deviations between the predicted and actual co.ling path of the strip,taking into acco.nt the co.straints of the co.ling equipment′s specific capacity,co.ling line length,*** showed that the model algorithm was able to achieve the online co.ling path co.trol for dual-phase steel.

Study on preparation and application of novel saponification agent for organic phase of rare earths extraction

In view of the problem of ammonia-nitrogen wastewater pollution in rare earths extraction and separation, the novel saponification agent of organic phase, which is magnesium bicarbonate solution, was prepared with the natural rich and cheap dolomite as raw material through carbonation process. The behavior and purification of main impurities ions in the carbonation process as well as the application effect of the novel saponification agent in the extraction and separation was researched. The results showed that the co.centration of Fe, A1, Si im- purities ions *** than 5 ppm in the saponification agent through the development of effective removal technology, respectively. When the novel saponification agent was used in the extraction and separation, magnesium utilization rate was more than 95%, and rare earths extrac- tion rate above 99.5% has achieved. Therefore, the technology co.ld replace ammonia-water to saponify the organic phase in rare earth ex- traction and separation process.
