Manipulating Nb-doped SrFeO_(3−δ)with excellent performance for proton-conducting solid oxide fuel cells

Nb-doped SrFeO_(3−δ)(SFO)is used as a cathode in proton-conducting solid oxide fuel cells(H-SOFCs).First-principles calculations show that the SrFe0.9Nb0.1O_(3−δ)(SFNO)cathode has a lower energy barrier in the cathode reaction for H-SOFCs than the Nb-free SrFeO_(3−δ)*** experimental studies show that Nb doping substantially enhances the performance of the SrFeO_(3−δ)***,oxygen vacancies(VO)were introduced into SFNO using the microwave sintering method,further improving the performance of the SFNO *** mechanism behind the performance improvement owing to VO was revealed using first-principles calculations,with further optimization of the SFNO cathode achieved by developing a suitable wet chemical synthesis route to prepare nanosized SFNO *** method significantly reduces the grain size of SFNO compared with the conventional solid-state reaction method,although the solid-state reaction method is generally used for preparing Nb-containing *** a result of defect engineering and synthesis approaches,the SFNO cathode achieved an attractive fuel cell performance,attaining an output of 1764 mW·cm−2 at 700℃ and operating for more than 200 *** manipulation of Nb-doped SrFeO_(3−δ)can be seen as a“one stone,two birds”strategy,enhancing cathode performance while retaining good stability,thus providing an interesting approach for constructing high-performance cathodes for H-SOFCs.

As the scale of federated learning expands,solving the Non-IID data problem of federated learning has become a key challenge of *** existing solutions generally aim to solve the overall performance improvement of all clients;however,the overall performance improvement often sacrifices the performance of certain clients,such as clients with less *** fairness may greatly reduce the willingness of some clients to participate in federated *** order to solve the above problem,the authors propose Ada-FFL,an adaptive fairness federated aggregation learning algorithm,which can dynamically adjust the fairness coefficient according to the update of the local models,ensuring the convergence performance of the global model and the fairness between federated learning *** integrating coarse-grained and fine-grained equity solutions,the authors evaluate the deviation of local models by considering both global equity and individual equity,then the weight ratio will be dynamically allocated for each client based on the evaluated deviation value,which can ensure that the update differences of local models are fully considered in each round of ***,by combining a regularisation term to limit the local model update to be closer to the global model,the sensitivity of the model to input perturbations can be reduced,and the generalisation ability of the global model can be *** numerous experiments on several federal data sets,the authors show that our method has more advantages in convergence effect and fairness than the existing baselines.

Deubiquitinases(DUBs)are a class of enzymes that are able to reverse the process of ubiquitination.1 Extensive research has revealed that there are more than 100 DUBs found in humans,which are classified into seven main families:ubiquitin-specific proteases(USPs),ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolases,the Machado-Joseph disease domain superfamily,the otubain/ovarian tumor-domain containing proteins,the ZUFSP(Zinc finger with UFM1-specific peptidase domain protein)family,the JAB1/MPN/MOV34 proteases,and the novel motif interacting with ubiquitin-containing DUB *** DUBs are cysteine proteases,except the JAB1/MPN/MOV34 proteases,which are Zn^(2+) metalloproteases.

Electric vehicle(EV)is an ideal solution to resolve the carbon emission issue and the fossil fuels scarcity problem in the ***,a large number of EVs will be concentrated on charging during the valley hours leading to new load peaks under the guidance of static time-of-use ***,this paper proposes a dynamic time-of-use tariff mechanism,which redefines the peak and valley time periods according to the predicted loads using the fuzzy C-mean(FCM)clustering algorithm,and then dynamically adjusts the peak and valley tariffs according to the actual load of each time *** on the proposed tariff mechanism,an EV charging optimization model with the lowest cost to the users and the lowest variance of the grid-side load as the objective function is ***,a weight selection principle with an equal loss rate of the two objectives is proposed to transform the multi-objective optimization problem into a single-objective optimization ***,the EV charging load optimization model under three tariff strategies is set up and solved with the mathematical solver *** results show that the EV charging load optimization strategy based on the dynamic time-of-use tariff can better balance the benefits between charging stations and users under different numbers and proportions of EVs connected to the grid,and can effectively reduce the grid load variance and improve the grid load curve.

This study reports the isolation of four newβ-carboline alkaloids(1−4)and six previously identified alkaloids(5−10)from the roots of Peganum harmala *** these compounds,1 and 2 were characterized as rareβ-carboline-quinazoline dimers exhibiting axial *** 3 possessed a unique 6/5/6/7 tetracyclic ring system with an azepine ring,and compound 4 was a novel annomontineβ-*** structures of these compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic data and quantum mechanical *** biosynthetic pathways of 1−3 were ***,the cytotoxicity of some isolates against four cancer cell lines(HL-60,A549,MDA-MB-231,and DU145)was ***,compound 4 exhibited significant cytotoxicity against HL-60,A549,and DU145 cells with IC_(50) values of 12.39,12.80,and 30.65μmol·L^(−1),***,compound 2 demonstrated selective cytotoxicity against HL-60 cells with an IC_(50) value of 17.32μmol·L^(−1).

The escalating demand for fast-charging lithium-ion batteries(LIBs) has mirrored the rapid proliferation and widespread adoption of electric vehicles and portable electronic devices. Nonetheless, the sluggish diffusion kinetics of lithium ions and electrode degradation in conventional graphite-based anodes pose formidable hurdles in achieving optimal fast-charging capabilities for LIBs. To overcome these challenges, the innovative concept of fast-charging composite anodes, a paradigm shift from traditional single-component designs, has emerged as a promising avenue to enhance the overall performance of LIBs under rapid charging conditions. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the recent advancements in fast-charging composite anodes for LIBs, with a pivotal emphasis on the design principles and material selection strategies employed in various composite anode formulations. Furthermore, it outlines the future prospects and research trajectories in this burgeoning field, offering insights into potential breakthroughs and directions for further exploration.

Electronic nose(eNose) is a modern bioelectronic sensor for monitoring biological processes that convert CO_(2) into valueadded products, such as products formed during photosynthesis and microbial fermentation. eNose technology uses an array of sensors to detect and quantify gases, including CO_(2), in the air. This study briefly introduces the concept of eNose technology and potential applications thereof in monitoring CO_(2) conversion processes. It also provides background information on biological CO_(2) conversion processes. Furthermore, the working principles of eNose technology vis-à-vis gas detection are discussed along with its advantages and limitations versus traditional monitoring methods. This study also provides case studies that have used this technology for monitoring biological CO_(2) conversion processes. eNose-predicted measurements were observed to be completely aligned with biological parameters for R~2 values of 0.864, 0.808, 0.802, and 0.948. We test eNose technology in a variety of biological settings, such as algae farms or bioreactors, to determine its effectiveness in monitoring CO_(2) conversion processes. We also explore the potential benefits of employing this technology vis-à-vis monitoring biological CO_(2) conversion processes, such as increased reaction efficiency and reduced costs versus traditional monitoring methods. Moreover, future directions and challenges of using this technology in CO_(2) capture and conversion have been discussed. Overall, we believe this study would contribute to developing new and innovative methods for monitoring biological CO_(2) conversion processes and mitigating climate change.

Following 30years of high economic growth, China ＂s economy is in the midst of a classic transition from an industrial to a post-industrial economy. In this transition period, the mismatch between supply and demand is growing, while the country ＂s economic growth engine is weakening. Stimulus policies have aimed to maintain the country＇s economic growth momentum but they have come at the price of sharply increased financial fragility and resource misallocation, both of which are harmful to economic growth. China ＂s ＂economic transition syndrome ＂refers to the vicious cycle of slowing GDP growth, combined with increasing demand for stimulus policies, and increasing financial fragili（y and resource misallocation.
