This paper investigates the solitary wave solutions of the (2+1)-dimensional regularized long-wave (2DRLG) equation which is arising in the investigation of the Rossby waves in rotating flows and the drift waves in plasmas and (2+1) dimensional Davey-Stewartson (DS) equation which is governing the dynamics of weakly nonlinear modulation of a lattice wave packet in a multidimensional lattice. By using extended mapping method technique, we have shown that the 2DRLG-2DDS equations can be reduced to the elliptic-like equation. Then, the extended mapping method is used to obtain a series of solutions including the single and the combined non degenerative Jacobi elliptic function solutions and their degenerative solutions to the above mentioned class of nonlinear partial differential equations (NLPDEs).

The iron doped brushite(Fe-DCPD) nano particles were synthesized via co-precipitation method with Fe concentrations(0 ≤x≤ 1) in steps 0.2. The influence of iron concentration on the crystallinity, particle shape,morphology, optical, magnetic and electrical properties was investigated. The results showed that iron doping content is the crucial factor in the variation of physical properties. The particle shape changed from spheres at x=0.2 to be fiber network at x = 0.8. The saturation magnetization(Ms) increased from 0.4(emu/g) at x = 0.2 to 1.6(emu/g) at x = 0.8 which is considered more than four times with a considerable decrease of coercive field.

In the present study,the solitary wave solutions of modified Degasperis-Procesi equation are *** the standard Degasperis-Procesi equation,where multi-peakon solutions arise,the modification caused a change in the characteristic of these peakon solutions and changed it to bell-shaped *** using the extended auxiliary equation method,we deduced some new soliton solutions of the fourthorder nonlinear modified Degasperis-Procesi equation with constant *** solutions include symmetrical,non-symmetrical kink solutions,solitary pattern solutions,weiestrass elliptic function solutions and triangular function *** discuss the stability analysis for these solutions.

Background: The most frequent spinal fracture is the thoracolumbar fracture. Minimally invasive percutaneous fixation of cases having thoracolumbar vertebral fractures without neurological impairments has remained controversial. The advantages of minimally invasive percutaneous fixation are decreasing muscle and soft tissue injury, decreasing blood loss and infection rate, in addition to shortening hospital stay and recovery times. In comparison to the open technique, percutaneous fixation is adequate for treating thoracolumbar (TL) fractures without causing neurological impairments & with satisfactory outcomes in terms of kyphosis decline. Elevated radiation exposure to the surgeon &the patient, lack of decompression and fusion via bone graft, & a steep learning curve are all disadvantages of percutaneous fixation of vertebral fractures. Methods: This study was retrospectively conducted on forty-eight patients, age ranging from 16 to 65 years old, with a thoracolumbar (TL) fracture without causing neurological impairments who were meeting the eligibility criteria for fixation in the period from July 2019 to January 2024. Results: We included the forty-eight patients who met the inclusion criteria (34 males and 14 females) their ages ranged from 16 to 65 years. The most common pathology was L1 fracture in 38 patients. No major complications were experienced, only wound infection in five patients which was treated efficiently with repeated dressings and broad-spectrum antibiotics. Four patients experienced misdirected screws, only in one patient the screw encroach into the spinal canal with no deficit experienced, while the other three showed minimally laterally deviated screws. Desupersaturation is a complex cooling operation that involves hydrodynamic,thermal and mechanical *** process requires continuous agitation to avoid fouling problems and sludge *** current work aims to investigate the well mixedness in the desupersaturation tank for optimal *** this purpose,a multi-fluid CFD study was conducted based on the Euler–Euler modeling approach,considering a multiphase flow involving a liquid phase(phosphoric acid)and a poly-dispersed solid phase,i.e.a sludge with three different sizes where each size is considered as a separate ***,the hydrodynamic behavior of the flow within the agitated desupersaturator is analyzed through the investigation of the velocity fields as well as the power and pumping numbers,to determine both the agitator capacity to pump the flow and its power consumption during the ***,in order to assess the mixture homogeneity,we evaluated the solid suspension in the desupersaturation reactor following conventional methods and two new proposed methodologies:the first approach is to evaluate the suspension quality in the mixing system by compartment and the second consists on the assessment of the uniform convergence of the solid ***,we calculated the time required to achieve a full suspension at different solid *** other hand,we conducted a detailed analysis of the solid distribution dependency on the impeller rotational speed at different solid volume fraction,which allows a good understanding of the parameters controlling the homogenization in the desupersaturator.

Aim:This study was conducted to assess the in vivo and in vitro anti-tumor effects of diallyl disulfi de(DADS)against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(EAC)and to suggest its probable mechanism of ***:EAC was induced in female mice by intraperitoneal injection of EAC-cells from stock ***-bearing mice were orally treated with 100 mg/kg body weight for 2 weeks beginning from the 1st day of EAC intraperitoneal *** effects of DADS against EAC-cells in vitro were investigated at different concentrations(0,6.25,12.5,25,50,and 100μg/mL)of DADS using trypan blue exclusion ***:Data from this study exhibited a signifi cant decrease in EAC-aliquot volume as well as total and alive EAC-cell number and a marked increase in dead EAC-cell number and percent in EAC-bearing mice treated with DADS as compared with EAC-bearing *** changes were consistent with increased number of cells which exhibited phenotypic apoptotic signs marked by a decrease in the expression of anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2,an increase of pro-apoptotic and cell cycle arrest mediator p53 and an elevation of DNA fragmenting indicator terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase in EAC-bearing mice treated with *** addition,the tumor marker sialic acid level was markedly decreased in plasma and Ehrlich ascites in EAC-bearing mice treated with *** vitro,DADS also produced anti-proliferative and anti-tumor cytotoxic potentials against ***:DADS may have anti-cancer effects which may be mediated via modulation of apoptosis and cell cycle arrest.

A Meta-Analysis of the Effectiveness of Vitamin C in the Prevention and Treatment of Childhood Upper Respiratory Tract Infections

Background:The effectiveness of vitamin C in the prevention and treatment of pediatric upper respiratory tract infections was evaluated in a ***:A total 2,573 children with upper respiratory tract infections were included in the meta-analysis,1,280 of whom received vitamin C and 1,293 who received control *** analysis of findings related to the studies included was done through random or fixed effects model to determine whether vitamin C supplementation could stop and control upper respiratory tract infections in children using mean difference(MD)with 95%confidence intervals(CIs).Results:On average,vitamin C-treated children had fewer upper respiratory tract infection bouts,their illness lasted shorter(MD-0.84;95%CI-1.47 to-0.20,P=0.009),and they were less contagious than the ***:The number of episodes and illness duration of upper respiratory tract-infected pediatric subjects were considerably reduced in the intervention group(vitamin C)compared to the *** to the small sample size in four of 11 studies and the limited number of studies included for comparison,the outcomes should be carefully examined.

Objective:To evaluate the effects of rituximab versus mycophenolate mofetil or cyclophosphamide as control in lupus nephritis by ***:A systematic search was carried out up to January 2022,obtaining 7 studies involving 645 participants with lupus nephritis at the commencement of the investigation;198 of them were treated with rituximab,while 447 were treated with mycophenolate mofetil or *** determined the odds ratio(OR)and mean difference(MD)with 95%confidence index(CI)to compare rituximab’s efficacy to that of mycophenolate mofetil or cyclophosphamide as control in lupus nephritis using random-or fixed-effects model by dichotomous or continuous ***:The rituximab group showed significantly higher complete renal remission rate(OR=2.52;95%CI 1.30-4.91,P=0.006)and total renal remission rates(OR=2.22;95%CI 1.36-3.63,P=0.001)than the control ***,there was no significant difference in terms of end Systemic Lupus Erythematosus Disease Activity Index(SLEDAI)score(MD-1.16;95%CI-2.88-0.57,P=0.19),proteinuria(MD-0.31;95%CI-0.70-0.09,P=0.013),and serum creatinine(MD 0.01;95%CI-0.04-0.07,P=0.64)between the rituximab group and the ***:Rituximab exhibited significantly greater complete renal remission rate and total renal remission rates,with no significant difference in terms of shorter-end SLEDAI,proteinuria,and serum creatinine,compared with the control in individuals with lupus nephritis.

Thoracic Epidural Analgesia versus Dexmedetomidine Infusion in Traumatic Flail Chest

Background: Traumatic flail chest is a serious injury that can impair ventilation and affect patient outcome. Thoracic epidural analgesia is the gold standard to provide adequate analgesia in flail chest, however, it may be unavailable in some patients due to coagulopathy, failure or difficult insertion. We compared between parenteral dexmedetomidine and thoracic epidural block with plain local anesthetic in flail chest cases. Patients and methods: fifty eight trauma patients with flail chest randomly allocated into either Group E (n = 29): epidural group, patients received mid-thoracic epidural analgesia using 6 ml mixture of 0.125% bupivacaine and 2 μg/ml fentanyl, which followed by continuous infusion of 6 ml/hour;Group D (n = 29): dexmedetomidine group, patients received loading dose of dexmedetomidine 1 μg/kg over 30 min, after a continuous infusion at a rate of 0.5 μg/kg/hr. The primary outcomes were to assess the effect of analgesic type on ventilation (PaO2/FIO2 ratio, PaCO2). The secondary outcomes were to compare analgesic effect, hemodynamics, the need for ventilation and ICU stay. Result: PaO2/FIO2 ratio was significantly higher in epidural group and PaCO2 was significantly lower in epidural group (p value < 0.05). The incidence of mechanical ventilation was significantly lower in epidural group than in dexmedetomidine group (6 patients group versus 13 patients, p value < 0.04). Mean arterial blood pressure was significantly lower in dexmedetomidine group than in epidural group (94.3 ± 6.84 mmHg versus 102 ± 5.72 mmHg, p value < 0.001). Moreover, heart rate was significantly lower in dexmedetomidine group than epidural group (89.97 ± 6.22 bpm versus 96.07 ± 9.3 bpm, p value = 0.004). VAS was significantly lower in epidural group (p value < 0.001). Throughout different measuring points, RAMSAY score was significantly higher in dexmedetomidine group.
