Preparation of co.S co.doped carbon catalysts for excellent methylene blue degradation

S and co.co.doped carbon catalysts were prepared via pyrolysis of MOF-71 and thiourea mixtures at 800℃at a mass ratio of MOF-71 to thiourea of 1:0.1 to effectively activate peroxymonosulfate(PMS)for methylene blue(MB)*** effects of two different mixing routes were identified on the MB degradation ***,the catalyst obtained by the alco.ol solvent evaporation(MOF-AEP)mixing route co.ld degrade 95.60%MB(50 mg/L)within 4 min(degradation rate:K=0.78 min^(-1)),which was faster than that derived from the direct grinding method(MOF-DGP,80.97%,K=0.39 min^(-1)).X-ray photoelectron spectrosco.y revealed that the co.S co.tent of MOF-AEP(43.39at%)was less than that of MOF-DGP(54.73at%),and the proportion of C-S-C in MOF-AEP(13.56at%)was higher than that of MOF-DGP(10.67at%).Density functional theory calculations revealed that the adsorption energy of co.for PMS was -2.94 eV when sulfur was doped as C-S-C on the carbon skeleton,which was higher than that when sulfur was doped next to co.alt in the form of co.S bond(-2.86 eV).Thus,the C-S-C sites might provide more co.tributions to activate PMS co.pared with ***,the degradation parameters,including pH and MOF-AEP dosage,were ***,radical quenching experiments and electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)measurements revealed that ^(1)O_(2)might be the primary catalytic species,whereas·O~(2-)might be the seco.dary one in degrading MB.

Study on the hydrogen absorption properties of a YGdTbDyHo rare-earth high-entropy alloy

This study investigated the microstructure and hydrogen absorption properties of a rare-earth high-entropy alloy(HEA),*** indicated that the YGdTbDyHo alloy had a microstructure of equiaxed grains,with the alloy elements distributed *** hydrogen absorption,the phase structure of the HEA changed from a solid solution with an hexagonal-close-packed(HCP)structure to a high-entropy hydride with an faced-centered-cubic(FCC)structure without any seco.dary phase *** alloy demonstrated a maximum hydrogen storage capacity of 2.33 H/M(hydrogen atom/metal atom)at 723 K,with an enthalpy change(ΔH)of-141.09 kJ·mol^(-1)and an entropy change(ΔS)of-119.14 J·mol^(-1)·K^(-1).The kinetic mechanism of hydrogen absorption was hydride nucleation and growth,with an apparent activation energy(E_(a))of 20.90 kJ·mol^(-1).Without any activation,the YGdTbDyHo alloy co.ld absorb hydrogen quickly(180 s at 923 K)with nearly no incubation period *** reason for the obtained value of 2.33 H/M was that the hydrogen atoms occupied both tetrahedral and octahedral *** results demonstrate the potential application of HEAs as a high-capacity hydrogen storage material with a large H/M ratio,which can be used in the deuterium storage field.

With the enhancement of environmental protection awareness of the international co.munity and the co.tinuous promotion of green and sustainable development of manufacturing industry,water lubrication instead of mineral oil has beco.e the future development trend due to its green,pollution-free,clean,safe,and sustainable advantages especially in ships,marine,co.l mining,and other *** recent years,with the rapid development of water lubrication research,significant progress has been made in related research knowledge domain and discipline.A systematic and extensive assessment of water lubrication research has beco.e increasingly *** objective of this research is to reveal the research status,research hotspots,and development trends in the field of water ***,CiteSpace was used to co.duct a systematic bibliometric and scientometrical analysis of 1,792 publications from Web of Science co.e co.lection database(1997–2021).The results show that China and USA are the most productive co.ntries in the field of water lubrication and have made outstanding *** the analysis of hot key words and co.citation references,this paper reviews the research status of water lubrication in three aspects:(1)lubricating medium modification;(2)material preparation;(3)surface *** has beco.e a research hotspot to promote the superlubricity co.tact interface and the application of *** results of this study can make a significant co.tribution to the development of water lubrication by providing a co.prehensive understanding of the research status and research hotspots in this *** understanding and discussion of research hotspots and research status are expected to provide insights into future research *** addition,this study will provide valuable references and guidelines for researchers who are interested in this field.

Although solar steam generation strategy is efficient in desalinating seawater,it is still challenging to achieve co.tinuous solar-thermal desalination of seawater and catalytic degradation of organic ***,dynamic regulations of hydrogen bonding networks and solvation structures are realized by designing an asymmetric bilayer membrane co.sisting of a bacterial cellulose/carbon nanotube/co.(2)(OH)_(2)co.(3)nanorod top layer and a bacterial cellulose/co.(2)(OH)_(2)co.(3)nanorod(BCH)bottom ***,the hydrogen bonding networks inside the membrane can be tuned by the rich surface–OH groups of the bacterial cellulose and co.(2)(OH)_(2)co.(3)as well as the ions and radicals in situ generated during the catalysis ***,both SO_(4)^(2−)and HSO_(5)−can regulate the solvation structure of Na^(+)and be adsorbed more preferentially on the evaporation surface than Cl^(−),thus hindering the de-solvation of the solvated Na^(+)and subsequent nucleation/growth of ***,the heat generated by the solar-thermal energy co.version can accelerate the reaction kinetics and enhance the catalytic degradation *** work provides a flow-bed water purification system with an asymmetric solar-thermal and catalytic membrane for synergistic solar thermal desalination of seawater/brine and catalytic degradation of organic pollutants.

Role of iron ore in enhancing gasification of iron co.e:Structural evolution,influence mechanism and kinetic analysis

The utilization of iron co.e provides a green pathway for low-carbon *** unco.er the influence mechanism of iron ore on the behavior and kinetics of iron co.e gasification,the effect of iron ore on the microstructure of iron co.e was ***,a co.parative study of the gasification reactions between iron co.e and co.e was co.ducted through non-isothermal thermogravimetric *** findings indicate that co.pared to co.e,iron co.e exhibits an augmentation in micropores and specific surface area,and the micropores further extend and *** provides more adsorption sites for co.(2) molecules during the gasification process,resulting in a reduction in the initial gasification temperature of iron *** the heating rate in non-isothermal gasification can enhance the reactivity of iron *** metallic iron reduced from iron ore is embedded in the carbon matrix,reducing the orderliness of the carbon structure,which is primarily responsible for the heightened reactivity of the carbon *** kinetic study indicates that the random pore model can effectively represent the gasification process of iron co.e due to its rich pore ***,as the proportion of iron ore increases,the activation energy for the carbon gasification gradually decreases,from 246.2 kJ/mol for co.e to 192.5 kJ/mol for iron co.e 15wt%.

Singular formalism and admissible control of spacecraft with rotating flexible solar array

This paper is co.cerned with the attitude control of a three-axis-stabilized spacecraft which co.sists of a central rigid body and a flexible sun-tracking solar array driven by a solar array drive assembly. Based on the linearization of the dynamics of the spacecraft and the modal identities about the flexible and rigid co.pling matrices,the spacecraft attitude dynamics is reduced to a formally singular system with periodically varying parameters,which is quite different from a spacecraft with fixed appendages. In the framework of the singular control theory,the regularity and impulse-freeness of the singular system is analyzed and then admissible attitude controllers are designed by Lyapunov’s method. To improve the robustness against system uncertainties,an H1optimal control is designed by optimizing the H1norm of the system transfer function *** numerical experiments are performed to verify the theoretical results.

Applications of advanced control methods in spacecrafts:progress, challenges, and future prospects

We aim at examining the current status of advanced control methods in spacecrafts from an engineer's perspective. Instead of reviewing all the fancy theoretical results in advanced control for aerospace vehicles, the focus is on the advanced control methods that have been practically applied to spacecrafts during flight tests, or have been tested in real time on ground facilities and general testbeds/simulators built with actual flight data. The aim is to provide engineers with all the possible control laws that are readily available rather than those that are tested only in the laboratory at the moment. It turns out that despite the blooming developments of modern control theories, most of them have various limitations, which stop them from being practically applied to spacecrafts. There are a limited number of spacecrafts that are controlled by advanced control methods, among which H_2/H_∞ robust control is the most popular method to deal with flexible structures, adaptive control is co.monly used to deal with model/parameter uncertainty, and the linear quadratic regulator(LQR) is the most frequently used method in case of optimal control. It is hoped that this review paper will enlighten aerospace engineers who hold an open mind about advanced control methods, as well as scholars who are enthusiastic about engineering-oriented problems.

Characteristic model-based co.sensus of networked heterogeneous robotic manipulators with dynamic uncertainties

In this paper, we address the characteristic model-based discrete-time co.sensus problem of networked robotic manipulators with dynamic uncertainties. The research objective is to achieve joint-position co.sensus of multiple robotic agents interco.nected on directed graphs co.taining a spanning tree. A novel characteristic model-based distributed adaptive control scenario is proposed with a state-relied projection estimation law and a characteristic model-based distributed controller. The performance analysis is also unfolded where the uniform ultimate boundedness(UUB) of co.sensus errors is derived by resorting to the discrete-time-domain stability analysis tool and the graph theory. Finally, numerical simulations illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed theoretical strategy.

Sampled-data feedback and stability for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems based on characteristic modeling method

In this paper, we investigate the tracking problem for a class of seco.d-order uncertain nonlinear systems using sampled-data output feedback. Our controller is designed based on the characteristic modeling method. We first derive the co.responding characteristic model and then give the sampled-data feedback control law, which is referred to as "golden-section adaptive control based on characteristic models". The closedloop system is shown to be stable and, co.currently, it is demonstrated that the tracking error can be made arbitrarily small by taking a sufficiently small sampling period. Our results improve upon the findings of previous work by removing the persistent excitation co.dition, and also lay certain theoretical foundations for practical applications of golden-section adaptive control.
