Preparation of co.S co.doped carbon catalysts for excellent methylene blue degradation

S and co.co.doped carbon catalysts were prepared via pyrolysis of MOF-71 and thiourea mixtures at 800℃at a mass ratio of MOF-71 to thiourea of 1:0.1 to effectively activate peroxymonosulfate(PMS)for methylene blue(MB)*** effects of two different mixing routes were identified on the MB degradation ***,the catalyst obtained by the alco.ol solvent evaporation(MOF-AEP)mixing route co.ld degrade 95.60%MB(50 mg/L)within 4 min(degradation rate:K=0.78 min^(-1)),which was faster than that derived from the direct grinding method(MOF-DGP,80.97%,K=0.39 min^(-1)).X-ray photoelectron spectrosco.y revealed that the co.S co.tent of MOF-AEP(43.39at%)was less than that of MOF-DGP(54.73at%),and the proportion of C-S-C in MOF-AEP(13.56at%)was higher than that of MOF-DGP(10.67at%).Density functional theory calculations revealed that the adsorption energy of co.for PMS was -2.94 eV when sulfur was doped as C-S-C on the carbon skeleton,which was higher than that when sulfur was doped next to co.alt in the form of co.S bond(-2.86 eV).Thus,the C-S-C sites might provide more co.tributions to activate PMS co.pared with ***,the degradation parameters,including pH and MOF-AEP dosage,were ***,radical quenching experiments and electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)measurements revealed that ^(1)O_(2)might be the primary catalytic species,whereas·O~(2-)might be the seco.dary one in degrading MB.

Preparation and Application of Bauxite-based Sintered Mullite Homogenized Grog in Ladle Castable

Preparation of bauxite-based sintered mullite homogenized grog was introduced and its application in ladle castable was *** kinds of bauxite-based sintered mullite homogenized grogs were used,named as GA and GB,*** results show that bauxitebased sintered homogenized grog with uniform co.ponents,stable microstructure and mullite as main crystal phase can be prepared using joint process of three-step homogenization,automatic co.ponent batching,wet co.rinding,high-temperature *** also indicates that carbon steel ladle castables with GA or co.posite aggregate of GA and GB as main materials have the same excellent general performance indicators,great erosion resistance,anti-strip performance and longer service life in field applications,and co.pared with castables with single aggregate of GA,the castables with aggregate of GA and GB as main materials had higher co.t performance because of lower bulk density of GB.

Preparation of Single Phase Na-X Zeolite from Oil Shale Ash by Melting Hydrothermal Method

A single phrase Na - X zeolite was synthesized from pretreated oil shale ash by alkaline fusion and hydrotherreal treatment. Eff3cts of the NaOH co.centration, crystallization time ant temperature on the formation of Na-X zeolite were studied in detail. The single phase Na- X zeolite powders can. be prepared by alkaline fusion o.f pretreated oil shale ash at 600 ℃ .for 1 h, and crystalli-zation at 80 - 100 ℃ .for 8 - 10 h with NaOH co.centration of 3 -3. 5 tool · L-1. Na - A zeolite appears when decreasing NaOH co.centration, crystallization time or temperature, ant an unnamed zeolite emerges when prolonging crystallization time or raising crystalli-zation, temperature. SEM micrographs suggest that the aggregates of Na-X zeolite particles have perfect dispersity and uniform granular with about 1.5 μm in size, and most of the Na-X zeolite crystals display a regular octahedral structure with the size of about 500 nm. The specific surface area of the powders with single Na-X zeolite phase reaches the maximum value of 488. 163 2 m2· g -1, larger than that of multiple zeolite powders.

Effect of Andalusite Addition on Properties of Chrome-co.undum Bricks

In order to improve the thermal shock resistance of chrome-co.undum bricks,different amounts of andalusite were added to the formulation of chrome-co.undum bricks to replace the equivalent white fused co.undum with the same particle *** mixing,shaping,drying and firing,the density,the co.d strength,the co.d wear resistance,the hot modulus of rupture and the thermal shock resistance were ***,SEM and elemental surface scanning were used to characterize the *** results show that:(1)the volume expansion of andalusite mullitization reduces the apparent porosity of chrome-co.undum bricks;(2)the density and the hardness of mullite are lower than those of co.undum so the decrease of the co.undum co.tent in brick leads to the decrease of the bulk density,the strength and the co.d wear resistance;(3)the cross-distributed co.umnar mullite in the matrix can effectively improve the hot modulus of rupture and the thermal shock resistance of the specimens;(4)co.sidering co.prehensively,the andalusite addition shall not exceed 18%.

Properties of New Mullite-SiC Bricks for CDQ Shafts

Currently the service life of CDQ shafts in China is mainly restricted by the properties of the inclined flue *** this work,based on the systematic analysis of the damage mechanism of inclined flue refractories,high performance mullite-SiC bricks were *** bricks were produced by co.undum,andalusite,SiC and other high purity raw *** silico. and alumina ultra micropowder were added to form dispersion multi-phase structure,fortifying the matrix and improving the *** products have excellent properties such as low porosity,high density,good wear resistance,high refractoriness under load,and good thermal shock *** products can replace the ordinary mullite-SiC bricks and obtain a good service life.

Strength Acquisition Mechanism of High Temperature Resistant Materials Prepared by Waste Architectural Ceramics

In order to realize the large-scale and high-value utilization of waste architectural ceramics,high-temperature resistant materials based on waste architectural ceramics were prepared with sodium silicate as the binder,clay/bauxite and metakaolin/bauxite as co.ting materials,and the co.d strength obtaining mechanism was *** phase co.position,the microstructure and the mechanical properties of the high temperature resistant materials based on waste architectural ceramics were tested and *** results showed that when the heat treatment temperature was between 110-1000℃,the strength of the samples mainly came from the physical adhesion of sodium silicate and fine *** the temperature rose to 1100℃,the strength of the sample was improved since the internal low-melting-point co.ponents melted and promoted *** addition of clay and bauxite can effectively enhance the flexural strength of the samples when the heat treatment temperature is 1000℃.When the heat treatment temperature rises from 900 to 1000℃,the flexural strength of the samples will be enhanced owing to the formation of silica alumina spinel and mullite from metakaolin.

Investigation on Synthesis of Sintered Mullite from Low-medium Grade Kyanite

Sintered mullite is prepared by kyanite powder with Al_2O_3 co.tent of 45% and 50%(Yinshan, Nanyang City, China),and the industrial alumina is added to co.trol the chemical co.position. The different series of sintered mullite acco.ding to the Al_2O_3 co.tent(45%-70%) are designed. The raw materials are mixed and co.pacted, and then sintered at different temperatures. Physical properties, phase co.position, microstructure and refractoriness under load of the synthesized samples are characterized by physical property test, XRD, SEM and RUL test, in order to co.firm the quality of sintering and the relationship between temperature and mullitization reaction. The results show that the sintered mullite from low-medium grade kyanite has well developed mullite crystals and a co.tinuous staggered network structure is formed, which has a significant co.tribution to increasing the high temperature performance of mullite.

Influence of Flotation Magnesia Particles and Al_(2)O_(3) Fines on Properties of Periclase-spinel Bricks

Periclase-spinel bricks were prepared using sintered magnesia,flotation magnesia,fused magnesium aluminate spinel and calcined Al_(2)O_(3)fines as the starting materials and calcium lignosulfonate as the binder,mixing,shaping and firing at 1650℃.Flotation magnesia particles were used to replace ordinary sintered magnesia particles and different amounts of calcined Al_(2)O_(3)fines were extra-added(0%,3%and 5%,by mass)to investigate their effects on the properties of periclase-spinel *** results show that:the periclase-spinel bricks prepared with flotation magnesia particles have reduced apparent porosity and co.d co.pressive strength,and enhanced bulk density,thermal shock resistance,hot strength and hot *** the calcined Al_(2)O_(3)fines addition increases,the apparent porosity and the co.d co.pressive strength decrease,and the bulk density,the thermal shock resistance,the hot strength and the hot toughness are improved.
