Optical experimental solution for the multiway number partitioning problem and its application to co.puting power scheduling

Quantum co.puting is an emerging technology that is expected to realize an exponential increase in co.puting power. Recently,its theoretical foundation and application scenarios have been extensively researched and explored. In this work, we propose efficient quantum algorithms suitable for solving co.puting power scheduling problems in the cloud-rendering domain, which can be viewed mathematically as a generalized form of a typical NP-co.plete problem, i.e., a multiway number partitioning *** our algorithm, the matching pattern between tasks and co.puting resources with the shortest co.pletion time or optimal load balancing is enco.ed into the ground state of the Hamiltonian;it is then solved using the optical co.erent Ising machine, a practical quantum co.puting device with at least 100 qubits. The experimental results show that the proposed quantum scheme can achieve significant acceleration and save 97% of the time required to solve co.binatorial optimization problems co.pared with classical algorithms. This demonstrates the co.putational advantages of optical quantum devices in solving co.binatorial optimization problems. Our algorithmic and experimental work will advance the utilization of quantum co.puters to solve specific NP problems and will broaden the range of possible applications.

Displays play an extremely important role in modern information society,which creates a never-ending demand for the new and better products and *** latest requirements for novel display technologies focus on high resolution and high co.or *** emerging technologies that include organic light-emitting diode(OL ED),micro light-emiting diode(micro-LED),quantum dot light-emitting diode(QLED),laser display,holographic display and others,QLED is promising owing to its intrinsic high co.or gamut and the possibility to achieve high resolution with photolithography ***,previously demonstrated photolthography techniques suffer from reduced device performance and co.or Impurities in subpixels from the *** this study,we demonstrated a sacrificial layer assisted patterming(SLAP)approach,which can be applied in co.junction with photolithography to fabricate high-resolution,full-co.o quantum dot(QD)*** this approach,the negative photoresist(PR)and sacrificial layer(SL)were uilized to determine the pixels for QD deposition,while at the same time the SL helps protect the QD layer and keep it intact(named PR-SL approach).To prove this method's viability for QLED display manufacture,a 500-ppi,full-co.or passive matrix(PM)-QLED prototype was fabricated via this *** show that there were no co.or impurities in the subpixels,and the PM-QL ED has a high co.or gamut of 114%National Television Standards co.mittee(NTSC).To the best of our knowledge,this is the first ull-olor QLED prototype with such a high *** anticipate that this innovative patteming technique will open a new horizon for future display technologies and may lead to a disruptive and innovative change in display industry.

Camera-equipped mobile devices are enco.raging people to take more photos and the development and growth of social networks is making it increasingly popular to share photos online. When objects appear in overlapping Fields Of View(FOV), this means that they are drawing much attention and thus indicates their popularity. Successfully disco.ering and locating these objects can be very useful for many applications, such as criminal investigations, event summaries, and crowdsourcing-based Geographical Information Systems(GIS).Existing methods require either prior knowledge of the environment or intentional photographing. In this paper, we propose a seamless approach called 'Spotlight', which performs passive localization using crowdsourced *** a graph-based model, we co.bine object images across multiple camera views. Within each set of co.bined object images, a photographing map is built on which object localization is performed using plane geometry. We evaluate the system’s localization accuracy using photos taken in various scenarios, with the results showing our approach to be effective for passive object localization and to achieve a high level of accuracy.

Embedded real-time systems employ a variety of operating system platforms. co.sequently, for automatic co.e generation, co.siderable redevelopment is needed when the platform changes. This results in major challenges with respect to the automatic co.e generation process of the architecture analysis and design language (AADL). In this paper, we propose a method of template-based automatic co.e generation to address this issue. Templates are used as carriers of automatic co.e generation rules from AADL to the object platform. These templates can be easily modified for different platforms. Automatic co.e generation for different platforms can be acco.plished by formulating the co.responding generation rules and transformation templates. We design a set of co.e generation templates from AADL to the object platform and develop an automatic co.e generation tool. Finally, we take a typical data processing unit (DPU) system as a case study to test the tool. It is demonstrated that the autogenerated co.es can be co.piled and executed successfully on the object platform.
