Objective To study the circulation, distribution, and genomic diversity of HPVs in common warts in beijing area of China. Methods Forty eight patients with pathologically diagnosed common warts were screened for the presence of HPV with HPV type-specific PCR and direct sequencing analysis. The genomic diversity of HPVs prevalent in Chinese patients was analyzed based on LCR. Results Forty one （85.5%） samples were positive for HPV DNA, 13（31.7%）-HPV-57, 12（29.3%）-HPV-la, 7（17%）-HPV-27 and 5（12.2%）-HPV-2a. Four cases were infected with two different HPV types, two （4.9%） with HPV-la and HPV-27, one （2.4%） with HPV-1 and HPV-57 and one （2.4%） with HPV-27 and HPV-57. In contrast to the prevalence of single strain of novel HPV-57 variant and HPV-1 prototype, two HPV-2 and three HPV-27 novel variants were found to circulate in beijing. Conclusion HPV-1, -2, -27 and -57 are predominantly prevalent in patients with common warts in beijing.

This study combined the real-time monitoring and investigation of traffic flows to comprehensively analyze the road traffic flow and vehicle structure in downtown beijing.A dynamic emission inventory of motor vehicle air pollutants in downtown beijing in 2021 was established,and the impact of these emissions on air quality was simulated and quantified,and different emission reduction control scenarios were proposed to evaluate their environmental improvement effects and explore measures to mitigate the impact of pollution emissions.The results show that the high traffic flow and the structure of the motor vehicle emissions in downtown beijing are the main causes of severe motor vehicle pollution.Monitoring data shows that traffic flow in central beijing is dominated by small passenger vehicles,while the vehicle mix is better than in other regions,with 72.0%of vehicles meeting"National V"or higher emission standards.However,to achieve higher air quality goals,further reducing vehicle emissions is necessary.Based on dynamic traffic flow,the average daily emissions of nitrogen oxides(NOX),particulate matters(PM_(2.5))and volatile organic compounds(VOC)from motor vehicles in central beijing are 17.7 tons,0.6 tons and 14.0 tons,respectively,accounting for 23.0%of the city’s average daily motor vehicle emissions.If a zero-emission zone for motor vehicles were implemented in central beijing,the annual average emission level of pollutants will be reduced by 10.4%to 21.0%.The designation of ultra-low emission zones for motor vehicles could be effective in improving the air quality in the center of beijing.

Objective To study the two metal catalysts Ag/Al2O3 and Cu/Al2O3 that interdict the transmission pathway for SARS and other respiratory infectious diseases. Methods Two metal catalysts Ag/Al2O3 and Cu/Al2O3 were pressed into wafers. One hundred μL 106 TCID50/mL SARS-CoV, 100 μL 106 PFU/mL recombinant baculovirus expressing hamster's prion protein (haPrP) protein and roughly 106 E. coli were slowly dropped onto the surfaces of the catalyst wafers and exposed for 5 and 20 min, respectively. After eluted from the surfaces of wafers, the infectivity of viruses and propagation of bacteria were measured. The expression of PrP protein was determined by Western blot. The morphological changes of bacteria were observed by electronic microscopy. Results After exposure to the catalysts surfaces for 5 and 20 min, the infectivity of SARS-CoV in Vero cells and baculovirus in Sf9 cells dropped down to a very low and undetectable level, and no colony was detected using bacteria culture method. The expression of haPrP protein reduced to 21.8% in the preparation of Sf9 cells infected with recombinant baculovirus exposed for 5 min and was undetectable exposed for 20 min. Bacterial membranes seemed to be cracked and the cytoplasm seemed to be effluent from cell bodies. Conclusion Exposures to the surfaces of Ag/Al2O3 and Cu/Al2O3 destroy the replication and propagation abilities of SARS-CoV, baculovirus and E. coli. Inactivation ability of metal catalysts needs to interact with air, utilizing oxygen molecules in air. Efficiently killing viruses and bacteria on the surfaces of the two metal catalysts has a promising potential for air-disinfection in hospitals, communities, and households.

Objective To establish a stable PrP^Sc panel from brain tissues of experimental hamsters infected with scrapie agent 263K for evaluating diagnostic techniques of human and animals＇ prion diseases. Methods Thirty brain tissue samples from hamsters intracerebrally infected with scrapie strain 263K and another 30 samples from normal hamsters were selected to prepare 10%, 1%, and 0.5% brain homogenates, which were aliquoted into stocks. PrP^Sc in each brain homogenate was determined by proteinase K digestions followed by Western blot assay and partially by immunohistochemistry. Stability and glycoforms of PrP^Sc were repeatedly detected by prp^SC-specific Western blots in half a year and 3 years later. Results PrPsc signals were observed in all 10% brain homogenates of infected hamsters. Twenty out of 30 stocks and 19 out of 30 stocks were PrPsc positive in 1% and 0.5% brain homogenatesof infected hamsters, respectively. TWenty-seven out of 30 stocks presented three positive bands in 10% brain homogenates, whereas none of 1% and 0.5% homogenates contained 3 bands. The detection of prpSc-specific signals stored in half a year and 3 years later demonstrated that the ratio of PrPsc positive samples and glycoforms was almost unchanged. All normal hamsters＇ brain homogenates were PrP^Sc negative. Conclusion A PrP^Sc panel of prion disease can be established, which displays reliably stable prp^Sc-specific signals and glycoforms.

Objective: To explore the impact of interventional nursing on the therapeutic effect, negative emotions, and quality of life of patients undergoing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular interventional therapy. Methods: A total of 106 patients who underwent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular interventional treatment were collected and randomly divided into Group A (control) and Group B (observation), with 53 cases each. Group A received the routine nursing intervention and Group B received the interventional nursing intervention. The clinical efficacy, complications, negative emotions, quality of life, and nursing satisfaction of the two groups of patients were evaluated. Results: The total clinical effective rate of Group B (52/98.12%) was higher than that of Group A (45/84.91%) (χ^(2)= 4.371, P < 0.05). The total incidence of complications in Group B (2/3.78%) was lower than that of Group A (9/16.98%) (χ^(2)= 4.970, P < 0.05). The self-rating anxiety (SAS) score and self-rating depression (SDS) of Group B were lower than those of Group A (P < 0.001). The quality of life of Group B was significantly higher than that of Group A (P < 0.001). The nursing satisfaction of group B (51/96.22%) was higher than that of group A (43/81.13%) (χ^(2)= 6.014, P < 0.05). Conclusion: In the care of patients undergoing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular interventional therapy, interventional nursing intervention effectively improved the patient’s clinical efficacy, reduced the incidence of complications, reduced negative emotions, improved the quality of life, and increased nursing satisfaction.

Objective: To analyze the effect of nursing intervention in preventing complications after whole-brain angiography and reducing the risk of neurological dysfunction, infection, and vascular complications. Methods: One hundred patients who underwent whole-brain angiography in our hospital from December 2022 to December 2023 were selected and randomly divided into control and observation groups of 50 cases each. The control group received routine care, and the observation group received systematic care. The psychological status, complication rate, nursing quality, blood pressure, and nursing satisfaction of the two groups of patients were compared. Results: Before the intervention, there was no significant difference in psychological state between the two groups (P > 0.05). After the intervention, the positive effect (PA) and negative effect (NA) exhibited a significant correlation between the two groups (P 0.05), while during and after surgery, the blood pressure levels of the two groups of patients showed a highly significant correlation (P < 0.05). Conclusion: Nursing intervention exhibited a significant preventive effect after whole-brain angiography. Scientific and reasonable nursing measures can effectively reduce the incidence of complications and improve the surgical safety and recovery of patients.

Objective To expatiate dynamic changes in hamsters infected with scrapie strain 263K, to observe the presence and aggravation of various forms of PrP and PrPSc during incubation period, and to probe primarily the relationship between the onset of clinic manifestations and the presence of different PrPSc forms. Methods Hamster-adapted scrapie strain 263K was intracerebrally inoculated into hamsters. Different forms of PrP and PrPSc were monitored dynamically by Western blot and immuno-histochemical assays. The presence of scrapie-associated fibril (SAF) was assayed by electron microscopy analysis (EM) and immune-golden EM. Results PrPSc was initially detected in the brain tissues of the animals in 20 days post-inoculation by immunohistochemistry and 40 days with Western blot. Quantitative evaluations revealed that the amounts of PrP and PrPSc in brain tissues increased along with the incubation. Several high and low molecular masses of PrP were seen in the brains of the long-life span infected animals. Deglycosylation assays identified that the truncated PrP in the infected brains showed similar glycosylation patterns as the full-length PrP. The presence of short fragments was seemed to relate with the onset of clinical conditions. Conclusion These results indicate that infectious agents exist and accumulate in central nerve system prior to the onset of the illness. Various molecular patterns of PrPSc may indwell in brain tissues during the infection.

Objective To study the possible effect of tetracycline on protease-resistant activity in vitro and infectivity in vivo of a scrapie strain 263K. Methods Scrapie pathogens were incubated with tetracycline at different concentrations for various periods of time and protease-resistant PrP signals were evaluated with proteinase K-treatment and Western blots. The preparations treated with tetracycline were intracerebrally inoculated into golden hamsters and typical TSE manifestations were noted. PrP^5c in brain tissues of the infected animals was detected by PrP specific Western blot assays. Results Protease-resistant PrP was significantly reduced in or removed from the preparations treated with tetracycline in a dose-dependant manner. Compared with the control group after incubated for 53.75±0.50 days, the preparations treated with 5 mmol/L and 20 mmol/L tetracycline prolonged the incubation time of 61.5±1.73 and 59.5±0.58 days （P〈0.05）. Conclusion Treatment of scrapie pathogen 263K with tetracycline reduces or removes its protease-resistant activity in vitro.
