A pilot field-scale study on biotrickling filter treatment of NH_3-containing odorous gases from organic waste composting plants

The use of a biotrickling filter was investigated for a pilot field-scale elimination of NH3 gas and other odorous gases from a composting plant in Tongzhou District, beijing. The inlet gas flow rate was 3500 m3/h and NH3 concentration fluctuated between 2.76–27.84 mg/m3, while the average outlet concentration was 1.06 mg/m3 with an average of 94.9% removal. Critical volumetric loading (removal efficiency=100%) was 11.22 g-N/(m3·h). The odor concentration removal was 86.7%. NH3 removal efficiency decreased as the free ammonia (FA) in the trickling liquid increased. The pressure drop was maintained at about 50 Pa/m and was never more than 55 Pa/m. During the experiment, there was neither backflushing required nor any indication of clogging. Overall, the biotrickling filter was highly efficient and cost-effective for the simultaneous biodegradation of NH3 and other odorous gases from composting, suggesting the possibility of treating odorous gases at the industrial level.

C60 High Performance Concrete (HPC) was prepared by limiting cement content and adopting compositesuperplasticizer, low-alkalinity expansive agent and high-quality line mixture. The results showed that the performance of the prepared C60 HPC was excellent. By adopting some advanced construction techniques such as usingsecondary vibration and secondary face compaction, controlling temperature difference and paying special attentionto early curing in the construction process, the prepared C60 HPC had been successfully applied in the monolithicstructure of huge building.

With the challenge from services diversity grows greatly,the service-oriented supporting ability is required to current high-speed passive optical network(PON) .Aimed to enhance the quality of service(Qo S) brought by diversified-services,this paper proposes an Simplified Echo State Network(SESN) Based Services Awareness scheme in High-Speed PON(Passive Optical Network) .In this proposed scheme,the ring topology is adopted in the reservoir of SESN to reduce the complexity of original Echo State Network,and system dynamics equation is introduced to keep the accuracy of *** to the network architecture of 10G-EPON,a SESN Master is running in the OLT and a number of SESN Agents work in *** SESN Master plays the main function of service-awareness from the total view of various kinds services in 10G-EPON system,by fully SESN ***,the reservoir information of well-trained SESN in OLT will be broadcasted to all ONUs and those SESN Agents working in ONUs are allowed to conducts independent service-awareness ***,resources allocation and transport policy are both determined just only in *** results show that the proposed mechanism is able to better supporting ability for multiple services.

In this study,to address the low efficiency for conventional ultrasonic-assisted drlling(UAD)of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic and titanium alloy(CFRP/Ti)stacks,feasibility experiments of non-separation UAD,in which continuous cutting between the tool and the workpiece occurs at a high feed rate,are carried *** experimental results indicate that,compared to conventional separation UAD,the non-separation UAD effectively reduces the cutting forces by 24.2%and 1.9%for CFRP stage and 22.1%and 2.6%for the Ti stage at the feed rates of 50 and 70μm/r,***,the non-separation UAD significantly improves hole quality,including higher hole diameter accuracy,lower hole surface roughness,and less hole *** addition,the non-separation UAD can decrease adhesive tool *** study demonstrates that,compared to conventional drilling(CD),the non-separation UAD can effectively improve drilling quality and tool life while maintaining high efficiency.

Naive Echo-State-Network Based Services Awareness Algorithm of Software Defined Optical Networks

As internet services newly emerge with diversity and complexity, great challenges and demands are presented to the Open Flow controlled software defined optical networks(SDON) to achieve better match between services and SDON. With this aim, this paper proposes a naive Echo-State-Network(Naive-ESN) based services awareness algorithm of the software defined optical network, where the naive ESN model adopts the ring topology structure and generates the probability output result to determine the Qo S policy of SDON. Moreover, the Naive-ESN engine is also designed in controller node of SDON to perform services awareness by obtaining service traffic features from data plan, together with some necessary extension of the Open Flow protocol. Test results show that the proposed approach is able to improved services-oriented supporting ability of SDON.

Aimed to enhance the supporting ability for diversified services, this paper proposes a hierarchy echo state network（HESE） based service-awareness（SA）（HESN-SA） mechanism in 10 Gbit/s Ethernet passive optical network（10G-EPON）. In this HESN-SA, hierarchy architecture is adopted to realize echo state network（ESN） classification based SA. According to the network architecture of 10G-EPON, the parent-ESN（p-ESN） module works in the optical line terminal（OLT）, while the sub-ESN（s-ESN） module is embedded in optical network units（ONUs）. Thus, the p-ESN plays the main function of SA with a total view of this system, and s-ESN in each ONU conducts the SA function under the control of p-ESN. Thus, resources allocation and transport policy are both determined by the proposed mechanism through cooperation between OLT and ONUs. Simulation results show that the HESN-SA can improve the supporting ability for multiple services.

Commercial Application of the MIP-CGP Technology for Olefin Reduction in FCC Unit

The refinery of Yanshan Petrochemical company has twice retrofitted a 2.0-Mt/a RFCC unit with the MIP-CGP technology aimed at maximization of isoparaffins/clean gasoline and increased output of propylene. By modifying the riser reactor with addition of the second reaction zone coupled with an added external catalyst cooler outside the regenerator and adoption of the CGP catalyst to control the cracking depth the refiners have realized the target of reducing olefin content in gasoline and increasing the yield of LPG. The results of retrofitting the RFCC unit have revealed that after revamp of FCC unit the yield of LPG was increased by 7.31%, the conversion rate was increased by 9.06%, and the total liquid yield was decreased by 0.3%. After revamp of the RFCC unit the olefin content in gasoline was reduced by 19.5 v%, and the RON rating of gasoline was increased by 0.7 units to meet the demand of beijing municipality for manufacture of the Olympic clean gasoline.

Doubly-fed induction generator(DFIG)-based wind farm has the characteristic of transient fault with low voltage ride through(LVRT)capability.A new three-phase fault direction identification method for the outgoing transmission line of the wind farm is *** ability of the new directional relay to differentiate between a three-phase fault in one direction or the other is obtained by using the increment of phase angle difference between the memory voltage signal and the fault current signal within a certain time,and using the amplitude variation of the fault *** can be inferred that the fault current is supplied by the wind farm whether the phase angle differs or the current amplitude varies *** fault locations at the outgoing transmission line have been simulated by PSCAD/EMTDC to evaluate the reliability and sensitivity of the proposed *** show that the new directional relay is of faster response when a three-phase fault occurs at the outgoing transmission line of a DFIG-based wind farm.

Deep Learning-Based Secure Transmission Strategy with Sensor-Transmission-Computing Linkage for Power Internet of Things

The automatic collection of power grid situation information, along with real-time multimedia interaction between the front and back ends during the accident handling process, has generated a massive amount of power grid data. While wireless communication offers a convenient channel for grid terminal access and data transmission, it is important to note that the bandwidth of wireless communication is limited. Additionally, the broadcast nature of wireless transmission raises concerns about the potential for unauthorized eavesdropping during data transmission. To address these challenges and achieve reliable, secure, and real-time transmission of power grid data, an intelligent security transmission strategy with sensor-transmission-computing linkage is proposed in this paper. The primary objective of this strategy is to maximize the confidentiality capacity of the system. To tackle this, an optimization problem is formulated, taking into consideration interruption probability and interception probability as constraints. To efficiently solve this optimization problem, a low-complexity algorithm rooted in deep reinforcement learning is designed, which aims to derive a suboptimal solution for the problem at hand. Ultimately, through simulation results, the validity of the proposed strategy in guaranteed communication security, stability, and timeliness is substantiated. The results confirm that the proposed intelligent security transmission strategy significantly contributes to the safeguarding of communication integrity, system stability, and timely data delivery.
