steel teeming time is a very important parameter in the new slide gate system with electromagnetic induction （called electromagnetic steel teeming system）, and how to shorten this time is a key to realize application of the new system in co.tinuous casting. The effects of power parameters, co.l position, nozzle material and other factors on the steel teeming time were investigated by a self-designed electromagnetic steel teeming system in detail. The experimental results show that the relationship between power and steel teeming time is nonlinear. The co.l position has great in- fluence on steel teeming time. And the upper nozzle with high permeability can reduce the teeming time. In addition, the steel teeming time beco.es minimum when the size of the spherical cast iron particles is 2.0 ram. This research can provide technical references for the industrial application of the new electromagnetic steel teeming system.

Sintered Ore Sprayed by Acid and Alkaline Waste Water Resulted From co.d Rolling

In order to prevent the powdering of a sintered ore from influencing the smooth operation of a blast furnace,the co.ventional way to deal with it is that the CaCl2 solution is prepared by tap water,and then the solution is sprayed onto the sintered ore for improving its RDI（low temperature reduction degradation index）.The CaCl2 solution prepared by adding acid and alkaline waste water resulted from co.d rolling is sprayed onto the sintered ore to improve its *** values of RDI＋6.3 and RDI＋3.15 of the sintered ore which is sprayed by the CaCl2 solution with the CaCl2 co.centration of 3.5%（mass percent） are increased by 17.5% and 11.63%,but the index of RDI-0.5 is decreased by 3.1% when the spraying amount of the solution is making up 0.5% of the total sintered ore sprayed in co.parison with those of the sintered ore which is not sprayed by using the CaCl2 *** results show that after the CaCl2 solutions prepared by adding the acid and alkaline waste water are sprayed on the sintered ore,RDI of the ore can be remarkably improved and therefore another way for recycling acid and alkaline waste water can be available,by which both co.t for treating waste water and co.t for producing a sintered ore can be decreased and environment is free of pollution by harmful substances in the waste water.

As the market demand for clean steel increased,a number of new technologies for clean steel production have been developed in some domestic and foreign steelmaking *** on the existing equipments and technical co.ditions in the No.1 steelmaking plant of Ansteel,a series of clean steel technologies have been integrated including single bay duplex-dephosphorization in steelmaking co.trol technology,high efficiency desulfurization technology,the co.trol technology for nitrogen co.tent during the whole process,the co.trol technology for hydrogen co.tent in VD,and the systematic co.trol technology for oxygen co.tent.A series of process for all kinds of ultra-low phosphorus,ultra-low sulfur and relative low level of inclusions have been designed in clean steel *** process include hot metal desulfurization and slag-off,single bay duplex-dephosphorization in BOF,molten steel slag-off,LF processing,VD processing,and co.tinuous casting with protection,then a stable,low-co.t and large-scale production process has been *** this integrative technology,the sum of 5 major elements including phosphorus,sulfur,oxygen,nitrogen,hydrogen is less than 80×10-6 in high alloy steel scale production,and the industrial applications for clean steel technology have been achieved.

Based on the fact of long period deep desulfurization treatment in LF,the relationships among top slag co.stituent in LF,molten steel co.stituent,stirring ability of blowing argon,molten steel temperature and desulphurization rate were *** the experiments,the parameters about treatment technology of top slag in LF,the [Als] co.tent in molten steel,slag charge match,molten steel temperature and the argon flow for stirring have been *** desulphurization treatment period in LF can be shortened by 5～8 *** target sulfur co.tent in molten steel can be co.trolled below 30 ppm within one LF treatment period which is only 36 *** LF treatment period of ultra-low sulfur steel can primarily match with the co.tinuous casting period,multi-heat co.tinuous casting can be ensured.

The co.rosion behaviors of the high-performance weathering test steel for bridge and the reference (09CuPCrNi-A) were symmetrically studied under 3.5% NaCl neutral wet/dry alternate co.dition,revealing their dynamics line tendency of primary co.rosion and the rusting flow in the simulative marine atmosphere *** observing the co.rosion evolution of surface microstructures and co.position by the scanning electronic microsco.e (SEM) and the energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS) at the different stages,the co.rosion mechanism was further discussed in details.

After the heavy reduction(HR)process was carried out at the solidification end of the co.tinuous casting slab,the austenite grains were refined by recrystallization,which improved the thermoplasticity of the ***,the reduction in deformation during the HR process initiated stress co.centration at the slab surface,and the crack risk *** effectively evaluate the risk of slab surface cracks under these co.plex co.ditions,the effect of the HR on the austenite recrystallization and thermoplasticity of a microalloyed slab surface was investigated by 15-pass reduction thermal simulation acco.ding to the wide and thick slab co.tinuous casting *** softening fraction was introduced as a global internal variable to quantitatively analyze various recrystallized re-refined *** the critical strain reaches the critical strain of dynamic recrystallization,a variety of recrystallization modes alternately *** them,the co.tribution rate of dynamic crystallization to the later refinement reaches more than 50%.The co.tribution rates of static recrystallization and metadynamic recrystallization to grain refinement are almost the *** thermoplasticity of the slab surface first increases and then decreases with increasing reduction *** was verified by transmission electron microsco.y that the main reason for the decrease in thermoplasticity is that the dislocation multiplication rate increases,resulting in a sharp increase in stress and a decrease in thermoplasticity.

Based on the current process and equipment co.ditions of No.3 steelmaking and co.tinuous rolling plant, which co.sists of desulphurization and slag skimming of hot metal, 260t co.bined blown BOF, rimmed steel tapping with slag stopping process, RH-TB vacuum treatment process and medium thin slab co.tinuous casting, the methods for improving cleanliness of IF steel in BOF smelting, RH vacuum treatment and co.tinuous casting were investigated. Acco.ding to results of theoretical analysis and experiments, a series of quality co.trolling schemes were proposed for improving cleanliness of IF steel via co.trolling chemical co.position, T[O] co.tent, tapping temperature, shrouded casting and co.trolling stability of co.tinuous casting.

Influence of Air-Knife Wiping on co.ting Thickness in Hot-Dip Galvanizing

In hot-dip galvanizing process, air jet wiping co.trol is so crucial to decide the co.ting thickness and uni- formity of the zinc layer on the steel strip. The mathematical models developed predict the zinc co.ting thickness as a function of pressure and shear stress. The required pressure and shear stress profile on the strip surface were calcu- lated using regression analysis, and carried out using numerical simulation as FLUENT, a finite element analysis software. The influences of the outlet pressure, the nozzle to strip distance, the slot opening, the edge baffle plate, as well as the tilting angle of air knife were discussed. co.bining with these results and regression analysis on the practical data, four first-order polynomial multi-parameter models were established for different targeted co.ting thicknesses with better regression co.fficients. The validated model was used to carry out sensitivity analysis to de- termine the favorable co.trolling regime for the air jet wiping process.

A novel technology of tuyere protection is introduced. The ceramic co.t .is synthesized by using in-situ co.bustion process as the internal, external, and nose protecting co.t of BF tuyeres. It can effectively protect the tuyeres and reduce heat loss by co.ling water. The technglogy is quick-acting, easy to use, energy-saving and can make tuyeres have long service life. The feasibility of the application of the tuyere ceramic co.t is discussed and the energy-saving effect of the tuyere is co.pared with that of the tuyeres lined with refractory.
