The multi-factor recombination and processes superimposition model for hydrocarbon accumulation is put forward in view of the hydrocarbon geological characteristics of multiple episodes of structural evolution, multiple sets of source-reservoir-seal assemblage, multiple cycles of hydrocarbon accumulation and multiple episodes of readjustment and reconstruction in the complex superimposed basins in China. It is a system including theories and methods that can help to predict favorable exploration regions. According to this model, the basic discipline for hydrocarbon generation, evolution and distribution in the superimposed basins can be summarized in multi-factor recombination, processes superimposition, multiple stages of oil filling and latest stage preservation. With the Silurian of the Tarim basin as an example, based on the reconstruction of the evolution history of the four factors （paleo-anticline, source rock, regional cap rock and kinematic equilibrium belt） controlling hydrocarbon accumulation, this model was adopted to predict favorable hydrocarbon accumulation areas and favorable exploration regions following structural destruction in three stages of oil filling, to provide guidance for further exploration ofoil and gas in the Silurian of the Tarim basin.

Aquifer connectivity could greatly affect groundwater flow and further control the contaminant transport in fractured ***,assessing connectivity of fractured aquifer at regional scales is still a challenge because such connectivity is difficult to be measured *** study proposes a framework for assessing connectivity of a fractured aquifer,with Qitaihe area,Heilongjiang Province,northeastern China as an illustrating study *** 3-D finite difference numerical models were established to interpret the results of three multi-well pumping tests and inversely estimate the distribution of hydraulic conductivity(K)in the fractured aquifer.A static connectivity metric of the minimum hydraulic resistance(MHR)was calculated,based on the optimized K-field,to evaluate the hydraulic connectivity in the aquifer,and the corresponding least resistance paths(LRPs)were *** results indicate a better horizontal connectivity in the fractured aquifer in the northeastern and middle parts than in the southwestern part of the study *** identified LRP indicated that the preferential flow channels at regional scales were controlled mainly by aquifer connectivity instead of local high-K *** results of this study can provide a method for aquifer connectivity estimation at regional scales.

State of the climate in the Three Gorges Region of the Yangtze River basin in 2020

In 2020,the average air temperature in the Three Gorges Region(TGR)of the Yangtze River basin was 17.2℃,which was close to normal,there were exceptionally fewer days than normal with high temperatures,and the high-temperature events mainly occurred in ***,the average precipitation was 1530.8 mm,which was a remarkable 29%more than usual,and the second-highest since *** precipitation was obviously above-normal in summer,and the precipitation in both June and July was the second-highest of the same period in *** average number of rainstorm days was higher than normal,and the second-highest since *** average wind speed in the TGR was apparently higher than normal;the average relative humidity was slightly higher than normal;and there were no instances of acid rain,with the rain acidity showing a significant weakening trend over the previous 15 *** the summer of 2020,the TGR experienced heavy rainstorms and flood *** shows that the frequent southward movement of cold air and abundant warm water vapor from the southwest were the direct causes of the abnormally high precipitation in the TGR from June to *** the spring of 2020,the continuously high sea surface temperature in the Indian Ocean led to a continuously strong western Pacific subtropical high and its average location being situated more to the south than normal,which might have been an important cause for the abnormal climate conditions in the Yangtze River basin from June to July.

Organic solvent nanofiltration(OSN)membranes have a great application prospect in organic solvent separation,but the development of OSN membranes is mainly restricted by trade-off between permeability and rejection *** this work,a TA/Fe^(3+)polymer was introduced into polyetherimide(PEI)ultrafiltration membranes crosslinked with hexamethylene diamine as the intermediate layer,and OSN membranes with high separation performance and solvent permeability were obtained through interfacial polymerization and solvent *** interlayer with high surface hydrophilicity and a fixed pore structure controlled the adsorption/diffusion of the amine monomer during interfacial polymerization,forming a smooth(average surface roughness<5.5 nm),ultra-thin(separation layer thickness reduced from 150 to 16 nm)and dense surface structure polyamide(PA)*** PA-Fe^(3+)_3-HDA/PEI membrane retained more than 94%of methyl blue(BS)in 0.1 g·L^(-1)BS ethanol solution at 0.6 MPa,and the ethanol permeation reached 28.56 L^(-1)·m^(-2)·h^(-1).The average flux recovery ratio(FRR)of PA-Fe^(3+)_(3)-HDA/PEI membrane was found to be 84%,which has better fouling resistance than PA-HDA/PEI membrane,and it was found to have better stability performance through different solvent immersion experiments and continuous operation in 0.1 g·L^(-1)BS ethanol *** with thin-film composite nanofiltration membranes,the PA-Fe^(3+)_(3)-HDA/PEI membrane can be manufactured from an economical and environment-friendly method and overcomes the trade-off between permeability and rejection rate,showing great application potential in organic solvent separation systems.

Global Rainstorm Disaster Risk Monitoring Based on Satellite Remote Sensing

Methods of rainstorm disaster risk monitoring(RDRM)based on retrieved satellite rainfall data are *** to significant regional differences,the global rainstorm disasters are not only affected by geography(such as topography and surface properties),but also by climate *** is necessary to study rainstorm disaster-causing factors,hazard-formative environments,and hazard-affected incidents based on the climate distribution of precipitation and rainstorms *** to a global flood disaster dataset for the last 20 years,the top four flood disaster causes(accounting for 96.8%in total)related to rainstorms,from most to least influential,are heavy rain(accounting for 61.6%),brief torrential rain(16.7%),monsoonal rain(9.4%),and tropical cyclone/storm rain(9.1%).A dynamic global rainstorm disaster threshold is identified by using global climate data based on 3319 rainstorm-induced floods and rainfall data retrieved by satellites in the last 20 *** the 7-day accumulated rainfall,3-and 12-h maximum rainfall,24-h rainfall,rainstorm threshold,and others as the main parameters,a rainstorm intensity index is *** and global mapping of hazard-formative environmental factor and hazard-affected body factor of rainstorm disasters are performed based on terrain and river data,population data,and economic ***,a satellite remote sensing RDRM model is developed,incorporating the above three factors(rainstorm intensity index,hazard-formative environment factor,and hazard-affected body factor).The results show that the model can well capture the rainstorm disasters that happened in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River in China and in South Asia in 2020.

In this study, we report zircon U-Pb age and geochemical data on the Middle Permian siliceous clastics and basalt samples of Lugu Formation collected in the Yaqu region from central Qiangtang. Combined with the published data, we establish the spatial and temporal evolution of the rift in central Qiangtang from the Early to Late Permian. Zircon U-Pb dating by LA-ICP-MS yields a concordant age with a weighted mean 206 Pb/238 U age of 266.6±2.8 Ma(n=6, MSWD=0.55) for the basalt. The results of detrital zircons from the siliceous clastics exhibit a prominent population of 257–270 Ma with a maximum depositional age of 265.4±2.6 Ma(n=19, MSWD=2.7) and three minor populations with peak ages of 450, 700–800, 1 800 Ma, as well as one older age of 2 039 Ma, generally coinciding with the geological events that occurred at different epochs in Qiangtang. The basalts display enrichments in highfield-strength elements(HFSE) such as Th, Ta and Hf, but show relative depletion in large-ion-lithophile elements(LILE) such as Ba, K and Sr, as well as slight depletion in Nb and exhibiting no Eu anomalies. All the samples are distributed in the within-plate setting on the Zr vs. Zr/Y and Th/Hf vs. Ta/Hf discrimination diagrams. The integration of these new data together with the regional geological background indicates that the Lugu Formation was formed in a continental rift-related setting of the central Qiangtang terrane during the Middle Permian. We propose a temporal and spatial framework that the continental rift opened as a result of the break-up of Gondwana during the Early Permian, ran to its peak in the Middle Permian and closed in the Late Permian(290–257 Ma), which could be a key constraint on the Permian evolution of Qiangtang.

As petroleum exploration advances and as most of the oil-gas reservoirs in shallow layers have been explored, petroleum exploration starts to move toward deep basins, which has become an inevitable choice. In this paper, the petroleum geology features and research progress on oil-gas reservoirs in deep petroliferous basins across the world are characterized by using the latest results of worldwide deep petroleum exploration. Research has demonstrated that the deep petroleum shows ten major geological features. （1） While oil-gas reservoirs have been discovered in many different types of deep petroliferous basins, most have been discovered in low heat flux deep basins. （2） Many types of petroliferous traps are developed in deep basins, and tight oil-gas reservoirs in deep basin traps are arousing increasing attention. （3） Deep petroleum normally has more natural gas than liquid oil, and the natural gas ratio increases with the burial depth. （4） The residual organic matter in deep source rocks reduces but the hydrocarbon expulsion rate and efficiency increase with the burial depth. （5） There are many types of rocks in deep hydrocarbon reservoirs, and most are clastic rocks and carbonates. （6） The age of deep hydrocarbon reservoirs is widely different, but those recently discovered are pre- dominantly Paleogene and Upper Paleozoic. （7） The porosity and permeability of deep hydrocarbon reservoirs differ widely, but they vary in a regular way with lithology and burial depth. （8） The temperatures of deep oil-gas reservoirs are widely different, but they typically vary with the burial depth and basin geothermal gradient. （9） The pressures of deep oil-gas reservoirs differ significantly, but they typically vary with burial depth, genesis, and evolu- tion period. （10） Deep oil-gas reservoirs may exist with or without a cap, and those without a cap are typically of unconventional genesis. To understand the effect of regime shift in Caohai Lake in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau,SW China from submerged macrophyte dominance to phytoplankton dominance on the specification and distribution of phosphorus and on ecological and environmental states,changes in phosphorus specification in the sediments and water were *** form,composition,and distribution of phosphorus in sediment were sampled in July 2020(before regime shift)and July 2021(after regime shift)were *** reveal that phosphorus content in sediment was lower than that those of Erhai Lake and Dianchi Lake,Yunnan,SW China,on the same plateau,and was lower than those of Taihu Lake,Chaohu Lake,and Poyang Lake in the middle-lower Changjiang(Yangtze)River *** phosphorus(Or-P)was the main form(up to 60%),followed by inactive phosphorus(Ina-P),and the active phosphorus(Act-P),the least,which is opposite to those of Taihu Lake and Poyang Lake in the middle-lower Changjiang River Plain in the eastern ***-P content was high,indicating a high potential risk of phosphorous *** the regime shift,the total phosphorus in sediment decreased from 0.87±0.13 to 0.70±0.13 g/*** proportion of Or-P and Act-P decreased from 68.23% to 65.32% and from 5.35% to 4.69%,*** contrast,the proportion of Ina-P increased from 26.42% to 29.99%.The Moran’s I index revealed that the heterogeneity of the spatial distributions of the total phosphorus(S-TP)and Act-P in the sediments before regime shift was significant(P0.05).The regime shift aggravated the eutrophication of the lake,the trophic level index(TLI)increased from 48.42 to 54.49(P<0.01),and the previously mesotrophic lake became a mildly eutrophic *** results of this study revealed the impact of regime shift in the lake from submerged macrophyte dominance to phytoplankton dominanc

This paper mainly replies to the discussion by Li et al （2009） on the calculation of the detachment depths in the Kuqa Depression. We think that viscous material flowing into or out of the cross section can affect the validity of the calculation method, yet the number of detachment levels does not bring any drawbacks to the calculation. In the Kuqa Depression, the salt flow influenced the structural deformation to some extent, and affected slightly the accuracy of the calculated depths of the true detachment levels. However, it does not mean that the calculation method loses effectiveness in the study area. Therefore, the calculation results are still relatively believable.

Chlorination is usually an economical method for treating clogging in drip emitters during sewage application. Appropriate assessment of the responses of soil and crop is essential for determining an optimal chlorination scheme. During 2008 to 2009, field experiments were conducted in a solar-heated greenhouse for tomato drip irrigated with secondary sewage effluent, to investigate the influences of chlorine injection intervals and levels on soil chemical properties and nitrogen uptake. Injection intervals ranging from two to eight weeks and injection concentrations ranging from 2 to 50 mg L-1 were used. A salinity factor and a nutrient factor were extracted from the pool of the nine soil chemical constituents using factor analysis method. The results demonstrated that chlorination practices increased the residual Cl in the soil, resulting in an increased salinity factor, especially for the frequent chlorination at a high injection concentration. Chlorination weakened the accumulation of nutrients factor in the upper soil layer. Nitrogen uptake of the tomato plants also was inhibited by the increased salinity in the upper soil layer caused by high chlorination levels. In order to reduce the unfavorable effect on soil chemical properties and nitrogen uptake, chlorination scheme with concentrations of lower than 20 mg L-1 was recommended.
