Enhanced wear prediction of tunnel boring machine disc cutters for accurate remaining useful life estimation using a hybrid model

In tunnel construction with tunnel boring machines(TBMs),accurate prediction of the remaining useful life(RUL)of disc cutters is critical for timely maintenance and replacement to avoid delays and cost *** paper introduces a novel hybrid model,integrating fundamental and data-driven approaches,to enhance wear prediction of TBM disc cutters and enable accurate RUL *** fundamental model is improved by incorporating composite wear mechanisms and load estimation techniques,showcasing superior prediction accuracy compared to single-mechanism ***,the hybrid model innovatively incorporates a data-driven supplementary residual term into the improved fundamental model,leading to a high-performance wear prediction *** actual field data from a highway tunnel project in Shenzhen,the performance of the hybrid model is rigorously tested and compared with pure fundamental and data-driven *** hybrid model outperforms the other models,achieving the highest accuracy in predicting TBM disc cutter wear(mean absolute error(MAE)=0.53,root mean square error(RMSE)=0.64).Furthermore,this study thoroughly analyzes the hybrid model’s generalization capability,revealing significant impacts of geological conditions on prediction *** model’s generalization capability is also improved by expanding and updating the data *** RUL estimation results provided by the hybrid model are straightforward and effective,making it a valuable tool by which construction staff can monitor TBM disc cutters.

This paper focuses on the laminar flame instability of three high molecular weight n-alkanes,namely n-hexane,n-octane,and *** experiment was carried out in a constant volume combustion bomb to get the flame *** critical radius under different conditions was extracted using the image processing *** with the existing critical Peclet number theory,the dominant factors of flame instability under current conditions for three n-alkanes can be figured ***,the average cell size(equivalent cell radius,R_(cell))was extracted to provide quantitative analysis of the flame cellular structure,based on the method developed in this *** theoretical R_(cell)were also calculated and compared with the experimental results to validate the proposed method.

Fibroblast growth factor21(FGF21)is a hormone that can balance nutrient fluctuations,control metabolic processes,and maintain energy *** FGF21 is produced by a variety of cell types,including hepatocytes,adipocytes,bone cells,myocardial cells,and pancreas cells,and act on various effector tissues such as brain,adipose tissue,liver,heart,and skeletal muscle.1 The target that FGF21 interacts with is the cell-surface receptor composed of FGF receptors in complex with the single-pass transmembrane proteinβ-*** receptors are abundantly expressed,both in peripheral tissues and some regions of the CNS,such as the hypothalamus and amygdala and the locus coeruleus(LC).2 Physiologically,FGF21 can be induced by various metabolic stresses,including hunger,protein deficiency,monosaccharides,and alcohol,by acting onβ-Klotho receptor in corresponding tissues,ultimately exerting regulatory effects(Fig.1)

A Bus Planning Algorithm for FPC Design in complex Scenarios

Flexible printed circuit(FPC) design in complex scenarios has a list of pin concentration areas, which lead to extremely congested intersection regions while connecting the pins. Currently, it is challenging to explore the routability and to find topologically non-crossing and routable paths manually for the nets timely. The existing bus planning methods cannot offer optimal solutions concerning the special resource distribution of the FPC design. To investigate an effective way to shorten the routing time of FPC and achieve enhanced performance, a bus planning algorithm is proposed to tackle complex area connection problems. On the basis of the pin location information, the routing space is partitioned and generally represented as an undirected graph, and the topological non-crossing relationship between different regions is obtained using the dynamic pin sequence. considering the routability and electrical constraints, a heuristic algorithm is proposed to search the optimal location of the crossing point on the region boundary. Experimental results on industrial cases show that the proposed algorithm realize better performance in terms of count and routability in comparison with numerous selected state-of-the-art router and methods.

Efficiency-oriented vehicle relocation of shared autonomous electric fleet in station-based car-sharing system

Long waiting delays for users and significant imbalances in vehicle distribution are bothering traditional station-based one-way electric car-sharing system operators. To address the problems above, a “demand forecast-station status judgement-vehicle relocation”multistage dynamic relocation algorithm based on the automatic formation cruising technology was proposed in this study. In stage one, a novel trip demand forecast model based on the long short-term memory network was established to predict users' car-pickup and car-return order volumes at each station. In stage two, a dynamic threshold interval was determined by combining the forecast results with the actual vehicle distribution among stations to evaluate the status of each station. Then vehicle-surplus, vehicleinsufficient, vehicle-normal stations, and the number of surplus or insufficient vehicles for each station were counted. In stage three, setting driving mileage and carbon emission as the optimization objectives, an integer linear programming mathematical model was constructed and the optimal vehicle relocation scheme was obtained by the commercial solver Gurobi. Setting 43 stations and 187 vehicles in Jiading District, Shanghai, China, as a case study, results showed that rapid vehicle rebalancing among stations with minimum carbon emissions could be realized within 15 min and the users' car-pickup and car-return demands could be fully satisfied without any refusal.

Photocatalysis has emerged as a promising alternative for converting and utilizing co_(2).Polymeric carbon nitride(PCN),typically synthesized through the one-step thermal polycondensation of nitrogen-rich precursors,has shown considerable promise due to its adjustable band structure and inherent *** the past five years,significant literature in this field has identified five primary methods for modifying PCN:morphology modulation,element doping,defect induction,co-catalyst loading,and heterojunction construction.A detailed discussion on how each modification method influences light absorption,charge separation,and surface reaction efficiencies in photocatalysis is *** on these findings,several future directions for the development of PCN-based materials are proposed,such as designing tailored PCN structures for specific photocatalytic reactions and using theoretical calculations to verify and correct results from current characterization *** the challenges associated with the large-scale synthesis of PCN materials with controllable structures and satisfactory performance,this work offers valuable insights for advancing photocatalytic PCN-based systems for large-scale solar fuel production.

On the Preparation of Low-Temperature-Rise and Low-Shrinkage concrete Based on Phosphorus Slag

The effects of different contents of a MgO expansive agent and phosphorus slag on the mechanical properties,shrinkage behavior,and the heat of hydration of concrete were *** slump flow,setting time,dry shrinkage,and hydration heat were used as sensitive parameters to assess the response of the considered *** shown by the results,in general,with an increase in the phosphorus slag content,the hydration heat of concrete decreases for all ages,but the early strength displays a downward trend and the dry shrinkage rate *** 90-d strength and dry shrinkage of concrete could be improved with a phosphorus residue content between 0%-20%,with the best performances in terms of mechanical properties and shrinkage characteristics being achieved for a content of 20 kg/m^(3).On the basis of these results,it can be concluded that appropriate amounts of phosphorus slag and MgO expansive agent can be used to improve the compressive strength of concrete in the later stage by reducing the hydration heat and dry shrinkage rate,respectively.

Effect of the Particle Packing configuration on Fixed Bed Performance

Fixed-bed reactors are generally considered the optimal choice for numerous multi-phase catalytic reactions due to their excellent performance and ***,conventional fixed beds often encounter challenges related to inadequate mass transfer and a high pressure drop caused by the non-uniform void fraction *** enhance the overall performance of fixed beds,the impact of different packing configurations on performance was *** and simulation methods were used to investigate the fluid flow and mass transfer performances of various packed beds under different flow *** was found that structured beds exhibited a significantly lower pressure drop per unit length than conventional packed ***,the packing configurations had a critical role in improving the overall performance of fixed ***,structured packed beds,particularly the H-2 packing configuration,effectively reduced the pressure drop per unit length and improved the mass transfer *** H-2 packing configuration consisted of two parallel strips of particles in each layer,with strips arranged perpendicularly between adjacent layers,and the spacing between the strips varied from layer to layer.

Measurement and correlation of Liquid-liquid Equilibria for 1-Hexene-n-Hexane-3-Methysulfolane

Utilizing solvent extraction to separate alkanes and olefins from catalytic light gasoline is an effective method for maximizing the utility of gasoline *** study presents the determination of liquid-liquid equilibrium data for the ternary system of 1-hexene-n-hexane-3-methylsulfolane at 30℃,40℃,and 50℃under atmospheric *** obtained data facilitated the construction of a ternary phase diagram for the *** results showed that the extraction selectivity of 1-hexene/n-hexane exceeded 1.5 when using 3-methylsulfolane as the extraction ***,the thermodynamic consistency of the experimental data was examined using Hand’s equation and the Othmer-Tobias *** correlation coefficient,R^(2)≥0.9578,indicated the acceptable reliability of the phase equilibrium ***,the NRTL(non-random two liquid)model was used to correlate the liquid-liquid phase equilibrium data and derive the binary interaction ***,the results demonstrated that the root mean square deviation of the NRTL model correlation values from the experimental values did not exceed 2.5%.
