Metallographic microsco.y,scanning electron microsco.y and TiN growth thermodynamic and kinetic equations were used to investigate the morphology,quantity,and size of TiN in the center of high-titanium high-strength steels under different solidification co.ling *** results showed that TiN in the center of the experimental steels mainly existed in three forms:single,co.posite(Al2O3-TiN),and multi-particle *** began precipitating at around 1497℃(solidification fraction of 0.74).From the end of melting to solidification for 180 s,the co.ling rates in the center of the experimental steels for furnace co.ling,air co.ling,refractory mold co.ling,and cast iron mold co.ling tended to stabilize at 0.17,0.93,1.65,and 2.15℃/s,*** size of TiN in the center of the experimental steel co.led using furnace co.ling was mainly co.centrated in the 5-15 pm *** co.trast,the size of TiN in the center of the experimental steels co.led using air co.ling,refractory mold co.ling,and cast iron mold co.ling were mainly co.centrated in the 1-5 pm *** addition,their density of TiN in the center of the experimental steels is signif-icantly higher than that of the furnace-co.led experimental *** and kinetic precipitation models of TiN established predicted the growth size of TiN in a high-titanium high-strength steel when the solidification co.ling rates are not below 0.93℃/s.

The causes of tiny spot defects on the surface of hot-dip galvanized automotive steel sheets were studied using scanning electron microsco.y(SEM)and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS),and effective co.trol measures were *** results show that rubbing against the top roller after galvanizing is easy due to the local thickness of tiny spot defect location co.ting;therefore,the surface morphology is different from the normal *** kinds of defects,namely zinc slag,small slivers,and pitting,are likely to cause local thickening of the co.ting after galvanizing,leading to the formation of tiny ***,resolving the three types of defects can effectively co.trol the generation of tiny spot *** them,due to the hereditary nature of the small sliver defect,focusing on its co.trol and supervision is necessary.

In this work,the microstructure and mechanical properties of large cross-sectioned Mg-9Gd-3Y-1.2Zn-0.5Zr(VWZ931)samples produced by the small extrusion ratio has been *** as-extruded VWZ931 sample with diameter of~30 mm can exhibit the high yield strength(YS)of 339 MPa,ultimate tensile strength(UTS)of 387 MPa and elongation of 8.2%,*** peak-aged,the YS and UTS of the Mg samples were significantly increased to 435 MPa and 467 *** small extrusion ratio leads to the low fraction of dynamic recrystallized(DRX)grains in VWZ931 sample,and the texture hardening effect can be fully utilized to achieve high *** co.bined effect of precipitation strengthening due to the long-period stacking ordered phases and theβ′phase,grain boundary strengthening due to the fine DRX grains,heterogeneous deformation-induced strengthening caused by bimodal microstructure,can together co.tribute to the high strength of present Mg *** findings can shed light on designing other large-sized Mg wrought alloys with high mechanical performance.

The springing up of large language models(LLMs)has shifted the co.munity from single-task-orientated natural language processing(NLP)research to a holistic end-to-end multi-task learning *** this line of research endeavors in the area,LLM-based prompting methods have attracted much attention,partially due to the technological advantages brought by prompt engineering(PE)as well as the underlying NLP principles disclosed by various prompting *** supervised learning usually requires training a model based on labeled data and then making *** co.trast,PE methods directly use the powerful capabilities of existing LLMs(e.g.,GPT-3 and GPT-4)via co.posing appropriate prompts,especially under few-shot or zero-shot *** the abundance of studies related to the prompting and the ever-evolving nature of this field,this article aims to 1)illustrate a novel perspective to review existing PE methods within the well-established co.munication theory framework,2)facilitate a better/deeper understanding of developing trends of existing PE methods used in three typical tasks,and 3)shed light on promising research directions for future PE methods.

Understanding the co.ing behaviors has been co.sidered to be really essential for developing better vacuum residue processing technologies.A battery of thermal cracking tests of typical vacuum residue at 410℃ with various reaction time were performed to evaluate the co.e formation *** total yields of ideal co.ponents including naphtha,atmospheric gas oil(AGO)and vacuum gas oil(VGO)of thermal cracking reactions increased from 10.89%to 40.81%,and the co.version ratios increased from8.05%to 43.33%with increasing the reaction time from 10 to 70 *** asphaltene co.tent increased from 12.14%to a maximum of 22.39%and then decreased,and this maximum of asphaltene co.tent occurred at the end of the co.ing induction *** asphaltenes during the co.ing induction period,at the end and after co.ing induction period of those tested thermal cracking reactions were characterized to disclose the structure changing rules for co.e formation process,and the co.e formation pathways were discussed to reveal the co.e formation process at molecular level.
