A novel self-reco.erable mechanoluminescent phosphor Ca_(5)Ga_(6)O_(14)∶Eu^(3+)was developed by the high-tem-perature solid-state reaction method,and its luminescence properties were ***_(5)Ga_(6)O_(14)∶Eu^(3+)can produce red mechanoluminescence,and importantly,it shows good *** mechanoluminescence of Ca_(5)Ga_(6)O_(14)∶Eu^(3+)re-sults from the piezoelectric field generated inside the material under stress,rather than the charge carriers stored in the traps,which can be co.firmed by the multiple cycles of mechanoluminescence tests and heat treatment *** mechanoluminescence co.or can be turned from red to green by co.doping varied co.centrations of Tb^(3+),which may be meaningful for encrypted letter *** encryption scheme for secure co.munication was devised by harness-ing mechanoluminescence patterns in diverse shapes and ASCII co.es,which shows good encryption *** results suggest that the mechanoluminescence phosphor Ca_(5)Ga_(6)O_(14)∶Eu^(3+),Tb^(3+)may be applied to the optical infor-mation encryption.

The high-temperature oxidation behavior of novel co.Cr-Nb-W carbide-strengthened wear-resistance alloys with different Al co.tents（1wt%, 2wt% and 3wt%）at 950, 1000 and 1050 °C was thoroughly investigated by scanning electron microsco.y, X-ray diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectrosco.y and field emission electron probe analyzer. The porous property of Nb C in-situ oxidation products（Nb2O5, co.Nb2O6and co.Nb2O9） induces a multi-layered oxide scale with micropores and ***-Cr-Nb-W alloy with 1 wt% Al undergoes catastrophic oxidation and spalling above 1000 °C. The outward transportation of Cr and co.is effectively restrained by a co.tinuous Al2O3scale formed around Nb C in-situ oxidation region when Al co.tent reaches 3 wt%. The β-co.Al in co.Cr-Nb-W alloy with 3 wt% Al has an oxidation priority over eutectic carbides and the alloy matrix which are both enriched with Cr, thereby preventing the formation of Cr-depletion area and improving the self-healing ability of the oxide film. A slight change in Al co.tent has a remarkable influence on the co.perative effect of Al and Cr and multiplies the antioxidant capacity of co.Cr-Nb-W alloy above 1000 °C.

Polyolefins such as polyethylene(PE)are one of the largest-scale synthetic plastics and play a key role in modern ***,polyethylene is extremely inert to chemical recycling owing to its lack of chemical functionality and low polarity,making it one of the most challenging environmental hazards ***,we developed a phosphorylated CeO_(2)catalyst by an organophosphate precursor and featured efficient photocatalysis of low-density polyethylene(LDPE)without the acid or alkaline *** to pristine CeO_(2),the surface phosphorylation allows to introduce Brønsted acid sites,which facilitate to form carbonium ions on LDPE via *** addition,the suitable band structure of the phosphorylated CeO_(2)catalyst enables efficient photoabsorption and generates reactive oxygen species,leading to the C–C bond cleavage of *** a result,the phosphorylated CeO_(2)catalyst exhibited an outstanding carbon co.version rate of>94%after 48 h of photocatalysis under 50 mW/cm^(2)of simulated sunlight,with a high co.(2)product selectivity of>99%.Furthermore,the PE microparticles with sizes larger than 10μm released from LDPE plastic wrap were directly and co.pletely degraded by photocatalysis within 12 h,suggesting an attractive and environmentally benign strategy of utilizing solar energy-based photocatalysis for reducing potential hazards of LDPE plastic trashes.

In light of the difficult removal of harmful impurity tungsten(W)in Ce metal,in this paper a co.bined vacuum gravity sedimentation-directional solidification method was innovatively designed and the W separation behavior was *** reducing the electron beam power instantly and gradually at reduction rates of 1,3 and 5 kW/min,it is found that W is enriched at the bottom of ingots as the melt *** enrichment effect is much better than that of single purification method and the enrichment degree increases as the beam reduction rate decreases,attributed to the k0(W)>1 andρ(W)>ρ(Ce).Overall,the minimum co.tent of W impurity can decrease from 630 to 0.1 ppm at the top of the ingot,and the purity of Ce increases from 99.932 wt%to 99.995 wt%by this co.bined ***,this paper provides a new method for the removal of high density and low evaporation co.fficient impurities in low vapor pressure rare earth metals.

Nanostructured silico. anodes have shown extraordinary lithium storage properties for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)but are usually achieved at low areal loadings(co.-graphene-carbon nanotube(3D-Si/G/C)electrode for simultaneously achieving ultrahigh areal/gravimetric capacities at high mass *** periodically arranged vertical channels and hierarchically porous filaments facilitate sufficient electrolyte infiltration and rapid ion diffusion,and the carbonaceous network provides excellent electron transport properties and mechanical integrity,thus endowing the printed 3D-Si/G/C electrode with fast electrochemical reaction kinetics and reversibility at high mass ***,the 3D-Si/G/C with high areal mass loading of 12.9 mg·cm^(-2) exhibits excellent areal capacity of 12.8 mAh·cm^(-2) and specific capacity of 1007 mAh·g^(-1),***-situ optical microsco.e and ex-situ scanning electron microsco.e(SEM)co.firm that the hierarchically porous filaments with interco.nected carbon skeletons effectively suppress the volume change of silico. and maintain stable micro-lattice architecture.A 3D printed 3D-Si/G/C-1||3D-LiFePO_(4)/G full cell holds excellent cyclic stability(capacity retention rate of 78%after 50 cycles)with an initial co.lombic efficiency(ICE)of 96%.This work validates the feasibility of 3D printing on co.structing high mass loading silico. anode for practical high energy-density LIBs.

The ceria-zirco.ia co.pound oxide-supported noble metal Pd(Pd@CZ)is widely used in three-way ***,the surface structure of CZ plays an important role in catalytic activity of ***,how to regulate the surface structure of CZ and clarify the structure–activity relationship is still a *** this paper,a strategy is proposed to develop high activity Pd@CZ nanocatalysts by tuning Y doping sites in *** precipitate-deposition method is developed to prepare the novel Ce_(0.485)Zr_(0.485)Y_(0.03)O_(2) co.posite with surface doping of Y(CZ-Y-S).In addition,the Pd@CZ-Y-S(Pd supported on CZ-Y-S)exhibits superior catalytic activity for HC,co.and NO oxide,wherein,for co.and C_(3)H_(6) oxidation,the low-temperature activity of Pd@CZ-Y-S is still 20%higher than that of Pd@CZ-Y-B(Y bulk doping)and co.mercial Pd@CZ after 1000℃/4 h *** effect mechanism is further studied by density functional theory(DFT)*** with Pd@CZ-Y-B,Pd@CZ-Y-S shows the lower co.oxide reaction energy barriers due to the weaker adsorption strength of *** Y surface doping strategy co.ld provide valuable insights for the development of highly efficient Pd@CZ catalyst with extensive applications.

Effect of phase transition during roasting of Mountain Pass rare earth co.centrate on leaching efficiency of rare earths

To find a greener and more eco.omical approach for treating the Mountain Pass rare earth co.centrate(MPREC),a novel "co.bination Method",including the processes of oxidizing roasting,HCI leaching and sulfuric acid roasting,is proposed in this *** this paper,the effect of phase transition behavior in hydrochloric acid leaching during oxidative roasting at 450-600℃ was *** roasting,the bastnasite in MPREC is deco.posed into CeLa_(2)O_(3)F_(3) and(Ce_(0.33),La_(0.33),Ca_(0.33))O_(1.5).As the CeLa_(2)O_(3)F_(3) phase has the fluorine-fixation effect,the generated CeLa_(2)O_(3)F_(3) phase can not be dissolved by HCI after roasting at 500 and 550℃,but it can be deco.posed by HCI after roasting at over 600℃,resulting in the improvement of the leaching rate of total F *** maximum leaching efficiency of rare earth elements(REEs) can reach 70.32 wt% at the roasting temperature of 550℃.After roasting at over 600℃,some F^-ions in the solution co.bined with RE^(3+) to form REF_(3) precipitate and enter the leaching residue,and the others are in the form of [CeF_(3)]^+ in the leaching solution during leaching,therefore,the leaching efficiency of non-ce rium REEs decreases while that of cerium element *** work provides basic research for optimizing the actual production process of MPREC.
