Low-dose lipopolysaccharide as an immune regulator for homeostasis maintenance in the central nervous system through transformation to neuroprotective microglia

Efficient Origin-Destination Estimation Using Microscopic Traffic Simulation with Restricted Rerouting

Homoepitaxial growth of 4H-SiC epilayers is conducted in a SiH_(4)-C_(2)H_(4)-H_(2) system by low pressure hot-wall vertical chemical vapor deposition(CVD).Thick epilayers of 45μm are achieved at a high growth rate up to 26μm/h under an optimized growth condition,and are characterized by using a Normaski optical microscope,a scanning electronic microscope(SEM),an atomic force microscope(AFM)and an x-ray diffractometer(XRD),indicating good crystalline quality with mirror-like smooth surfaces and an rms roughness of 0.9 nm in a 5μm×5μm *** dependence of the 4H-SiC growth rate on growth conditions on 4°off-axis 4H-SiC substrates and its mechanism are *** is found that the H_(2) flow rate could influence the surface roughness,while good surface morphologies without Si droplets and epitaxial defects such as triangular defects could be obtained by inc.easing temperature.

We investigate the triangular defects with different structural features on 4H-SiC epilayers by a Nomarski micro-scope,a Candela optical surface analyzer and ultraviolet photoluminescence(UV-PL)*** the foreign particles and the substrate scratches can cause the formation of the obtuse triangular *** central area of some obtuse triangular defects can have the spatially confined core,in which the in-grown stacking faults can be observed under the UV-PL *** contrast,the obtuse triangular defects induced by the scratches appear in the form of band-like defects,of which the width depends on the scratch direction and reaches the maximum when the scratch direction is parallel to the step flow *** formation mechanisms of these obtuse triangular defects are discussed.

An AIoT Monitoring System for Multi-Object Tracking and Alerting

Pig farmers want to have an effective solution for automatically detecting and tracking multiple pigs and alerting their conditions in order to recognize disease risk factors *** this paper,therefore,we propose a novel monitoring system using an Artificial Intelligence of Things(AIoT)technique combining artificial intelligence and Internet of Things(IoT).The proposed system consists of AIoT edge devices and a central monitoring ***,an AIoT edge device extracts video frame images from a CCTV camera installed in a pig pen by a frame extraction method,detects multiple pigs in the images by a faster region-based convolutional neural network(RCNN)model,and tracks them by an object center-point tracking algorithm(OCTA)based on bounding box regression outputs of the faster ***,it sends multi-pig tracking images to the central monitoring server,which alerts them to pig farmers through a social networking service(SNS)agent in cooperation with an oneM2M-compliant IoT alerting *** results showed that the multi-pig tracking method achieved the multi-object tracking accuracy performance of about 77%.In addition,we verified alerting operation by confirming the images received in the SNS smartphone application.

Origin,migration,and accumulation of carbon dioxide in the East Changde Gas Field,Songliao Basin,northeastern China

CO2reservoirs are widely distributed within the Yingcheng Formation in the Songliao Basin, but the extreme horizontal heterogeneity of CO2content causes difficulties in the exploration and exploitation of methane. Former studies have fully covered the lithology, structure, and distribution of the reservoirs high in CO2content, but few are reported about migration and accumulation of CO2. Using the East Changde Gas Field as an example, we studied the accumulation mechanisms of CO2 gas. Two original types of accumulation model are proposed in this study. The fault-controlled accumulation model refers to gas accumulation in the reservoir body that is cut by a basement fault(the West Xu Fault), allowing the hydrocarbon gas generated in the lower formation to migrate into the reservoir body through the fault, which results in a relatively lower CO2content. The volcanic conduit-controlled accumulation model refers to a reservoir body that is not cut by the basement fault, which prevents the hydrocarbon gas from being mixed in and leads to higher CO2contents. This conclusion provides useful theories for prediction of CO2distribution in similar basins and reservoirs.

Cenozoic tectonic and sedimentary evolution of southern Qaidam Basin, NE Tibetan Plateau and its implication for the rejuvenation of Eastern Kunlun Mountains

The Eastern Kunlun Mountains play an important role in the growth and eastward extrusion of the Tibetan Plateau. Tectonic and sedimentary study of the Cenozoic Qaidam Basin, especially the southern part, provides key evidence for understanding their evolution. Here we present evidence inc.uding isopach maps, seismic sections and sedimentary analysis of single well to illustrate the sedimentary development of the basin and the structural features of its southern margin. The Qaidam Basin extended across Qiman Tagh-Eastern Kunlun Mountains in the early Cenozoic and withdrew northward at ca. 35.5 Ma, and then buckled as an EW striking elliptical depression sinc. ca. 14.9 Ma, with the main depocenter migrating eastward. Our results support the view that the Kumukol and Hoh Xil basins joined the Qaidam Basin in the early Cenozoic time and we propose the Eastern Kunlun Mountains uplifted in the mid-Miocene.

Artificial-intelligence-assisted mass fabrication of nanocantilevers from randomly positioned single carbon nanotubes

Nanoscale cantilevers(nanocantilevers)made from carbon nanotubes(CNTs)provide tremendous benefits in sensing and electromagnetic *** nanoscale structure is generally fabricated using chemical vapor deposition and/or dielectrophoresis,which contain manual,time-consuming processes such as the placing of additional electrodes and careful observation of single-grown ***,we demonstrate a simple and Artificial Intelligence(Al)-assisted method for the effcient fabrication of a massive CNT-based *** used randomly positioned single CNTs on the *** trained deep neural network recognizes the CNTs,measures their positions,and determines the edge of the CNT on which an electrode should be clamped to form a *** experiments demonstrate that the recognition and measurement processes are automatically completed in 2 s,whereas comparable manual processing requires 12 *** the small measurement error by the trained network(within 200 nm for 90%of the recognized CNTs),more than 34 nanocantilevers were successfully fabricated in one *** high accuracy contributes to the development of a massive field emitter using the CNT-based nanocantilever,in which the output current is obtained with a low applied *** further showed the benefit of fabricating massive CNT-nanocantilever-based field emitters for neuromorphic *** activation function,which is a key function in a neural network,was physically realized using an individual CNT-based field *** introduced neural network with the CNT-based field emitters recognized handwritten images *** believe that our method can accelerate the research and development of CNT-based nanocantilevers for realizing promising future applications.
